Hello J_M_Bulldog, and thanks for dropping in--especially when you're sick (I myself am fighting the crud...spent the last two days in bed! **gak-sniffle-wheeze**)! I'm glad the drawing made at least one day a little less "gray!" I appreciate the visit and the comments (and I hope you're feeling better!)!
Iverna--Aw, thanks!   It's great to hear that it looks okay--like I said, the reference for the poses was pretty fuzzy, so I was sort of "fishing" for contours and shading...not to mention trying to put Luke and Mara's faces on other people! lol! I'm so glad you like it--and yeah, it's good to see them together! Thanks so much!

Hi Idrelle! Yeah...I miss Mara too...I think that's why I wanted to draw this. **nodding** As to the "model" for Mara--I had a photo of a young couple that I worked from initially, then tried to blend in some of the Japanese coverart images...I don't think I got very close... I don't really have ONE woman that I reference for Mara--there've been a lot of different ones, so you're not "seeing things," it's just my inconsistency with her! I'm glad you like it anyway! 
Hello HS29, and again--thanks for taking time to drop in and comment! It's always appreciated! The hair WAS a pain for this one, actually: the models had long blonde hair (the woman) and short dark (the man), so I had to do a lot of improvising! And with no references! As you can tell, too, the crop cuts out most of it!  As to the "Fury" piece, it's still in progress--I've been dying of this rotten cold for three days now, and am only now starting to feel like something less than death! Hopefully, now I'm finally regaining some energy, I can get back to work on that again!  And as to a post from you--when time allows! I may be impatient (and then tell you all about it! lol!), but I totally understand about other commitments and time crunches! **nodding** Thank you again!

Aww, thanks! I was hoping some of that came through! I always thought that it'd be so difficult for Mara--at least initially--to trust anyone with her heart; that she came to trust Luke that way, so completely, was a major change for her. Testimony to both of them, really: that he was willing to keep trying, and she was finally willing to make the leap of faith, so to speak. Thank you very much, and I'm so glad you like it!

Aww! Believe me, there were a few times when I was working on this that I got misty! I think it's been a bit of a catharsis, drawing this piece; I needed to see them together again, and this was a way to do that. I'm so glad you like it, and very much appreciate the kind comments!

Gyah! Sorry I missed the last two, FF.
Like I said at the DA, the Mando Jedi is awesome. Love the epic background and him just... being there, all realistic with scarred armor and quasi-Aragorn features-in a good way, mind you.
And Mara and Luke... dang. Now that is purty.  And very romantic, there. The hair is... perfect, pretty much. Love the soft focus of it, too.

Garyn Fett is fantastic. I sat there studying the drawing for quite a while actually because of the detail. The face is very appealing. It has a kind of Renaissance quality to it if you know what I mean - thinking of some of those paintings I saw at the Met last September when I was in New York (trip of a lifetime! I loved the place - so many museums and art galleries.) The eyes have a kind of warm humour to them.
I like the epic mood with the figure superimposed on that action background.  The detail in the armour is marvellous, too, and I liked the idea of having the cloak looped through the neck piece.
And the Luke/Mara piece is just lovely and made me feel all warm and fuzzy, and then sad at the sense of loss. I like Mara's face - it's beautiful but also very strong. And Luke looks so happily lost in her. Thank you for that reminder of what was.

This has to be one of your best and one of my favorites of all that you've done.
Simply gorgeous! I love the expressions on their faces. They look so in love and peaceful.
As a newlywed myself I can totally relate with this picture and how wonderful it feels to just be held by the person you love.
That really comes across in their faces. Wonderful job!
You shouldn't draw things like this when I'm pregnant!
