CeiranHarmony--thanks for visiting again--I agree, the likeness lacks some of Han's "maturity" from ANH, but nah--we won't make him Thracken! 
Cheveyo--yeah--I realize the "benefit" of the background--the primary reason I've never done them is *cough* laziness! It's hard to add in a background! But I'm glad I took a crack at it at last! Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
HS29--don't feel "stupid!"  I do that all the time!  Thanks for the comments, Mme. Moderator--I always look forward to hearing from you!
LuvEwan--I appreciate you taking a look here--I am so loving your work over in your thread--very, very nice!

Got my drawings done for the most recent Art Class assignment, and wanted to drop them in here, as well. Also posting the Fan Art Challenge "Valentine" entry, after realizing it never made it into my own thread! ;p

Like I mentioned over in the Fan Art Class thread, excellent, excellent work! I do truly believe this is you at your best. The liknesses are uncanny and the shading and details wonderful! It really comes across as a photograph!

You seem to just whip these things off!? Every time I turn around you have another piece up and yet they look like they took you hours. Super-Duper, great job FalconFan !!
I still want to see a color piece though. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate, just an Endor battle scene painting or something, nothing too big.

Thank you, Ty, for your kind comments! Just visited your murals--Geez-Looeez! Love those! As to "whipping this stuff out:" I wish! These all take days and days to complete (a few hours here, a few hours there)--especially when doing Wookiee fur!  I actually put in a lot of time on each one (including having to "walk away" for a while, erasing and redoing...tearing my hair out! ). About the "color..." *feet scuffing at ground* ...we'll see!

Your drawings are truly amazing FalconFan!!
The likenesses you get are really good, something I need to work on, and I perticularly love that Han and Chewie one. The expressions on their faces and the fur on Chewbacca in particular are amazing, your shading style is very intresting! lovin' it, keep it coming!!!

I agree with Esira, the Han and Chewie pic is my favourite. There is something about the way you've rendered Han's eyes that make them the focal point for the drawing. But then I always like the way you draw the eyes in your pictures.

Hey, Esira, thanks for stopping in and taking time to comment. For me, likenesses tend to be a bit "hit-and-miss:" sometimes they'll just drop onto the paper--and sometimes I end up tossing an attempt! As to the shading: it consists mostly of "scribbling in" the "darker" areas, then smudging, either with a fingertip (a technique I learned very recently from our mod, HS29! ) or tortillon--for the "impression" of hair/fur, I'll then "sweep" a sharpened pencil from the darker areas into the lighter. I normally depend a lot on the reference photo I'm using for the picture.

Wow, FalconFan. I think your work's the best fanart I have ever seen. Ever.
Amazing, beautiful stuff. I really love your Han, Jacen and Kyp drawings. Very nice. Also, I like that portrait you drew of Jacen and Jaina--they actually looked like twins
I'm guessing you're a J/Jer, but if you ever could, do you think you could sneak in a Kyp and Jaina drawing? I'd really love to see you draw the two of them together. I absolutely adore your work.
