Teeeheheh! <33 I've already told you how much I love it all over at the J/TK LJ and Kriff This -- but I have to tell you again just because the pictures are so so gorgeous!  The pictures of Ben are adorable and I absolutly love the pictures of Padme and Anakin! The J/TK ones... you already know how much I love those. Heeehehe~ I love your work so much -- especially the coloring and and the texture. 
(And of course the subject matter -- but you already knew that.  )

I so enjoy your style, angel_gidget! It's so unique and so colorful!
Your latest series of pieces are just as wonderful as the previous: I really like the bold use of line and color, and the way you've rendered the characters in many situations. It gives us insight into those characters and their interaction, even without having been introduced to them before. (I myself love Jacen and TK, and have read all the novels, so it's really wonderful to see them depicted with such variety and detail--a lot of these are scenes right out of the books!) You really have a distinctive style that's great to look at--keep up the great work!

Special Feature...
My coloring process:
1) Darken lines to basic black and white.
2) Fill with color and gradients in Correll Painter 7
3) Tweek, text, and twirl background with Adobe Photoshop
 
Current theme: Joiner King.
I'm sorry it took so long to update! I finally finished Joiner King and am happy to present are inspired by the book...WARNING! Possible Spoilers!

Yeah they're real nice! All of 'em. There's nothing I love better than reading pics&caps like the ones you did for ROTS. Maybe except for ficcing and a few other things, but it's still really awesome!

angel_gidget, excellent job all around! The Tenel Ka/Jacen update was really great. I would definitely like to see those two hook up eventually and you did a nice job capturing their feelings and their friendship for each other.
I also really liked to see the process pics you posted. I always like to see what an artist has to go through to come to their finished piece. It seems like the key to your work is how you situate the lighting in each one.
As for the Joiner King update - I didn't really look at them as closely as the other because I'm still reading the book, but I have to say that the Kyp/Jaina one is definitely my favorite.

Wow, great work! I really like your style - it has a very distinctive feel to it. Loved the Ben Skywalker pics you started out with, the way you showed his relationship with the different members of his family. Beautiful work as well on the PT pics and the NJO-era ones. The edge you give Jacen is great - there would have to be something like that there, given all he's been through. I also really liked the way you show Zekk and Jaina's connection through the pictures in the most recent update. Very nicely done all round!

Jedi_Commander_Faofa -- My style is inspired by both Japanese comic books/animation (manga/anime) and American comic books/animation.
-Tenel-Ka- -- I love hearing art reviews from you! I guess I should post more of my stuff and "Kriff This" but I forget sometimes that it's an NJO forum and not just a J/TK forum. ^_~
FalconFan-- Every once in a while I go into a heavy J/TK phase. I both write and draw, but only the drawings ever get finished. The fanfics just rot on my computer. At any rate, I'm currently inspired by The Joiner King. I tend to draw the characters from the images the books create in my mind.
Valie-- Thank you! I really liked Jaina and Zekk in the YJK books and was sorry to see them grow apart in the NJO.
SilSolo-- Well, I'm still drawing away! So you should get another post soon!
HanSolo29-- I'm glad you like the process pics, but the drawings before you are not Kyp/Jaina. I'll be posting those later. I like J/K and J/Z. I'm still trying to get my head around the concept of J/J. Jag Fell is growing on me, but veeerrryyy sloooowwwwllly.
Knight_Aragorn -- Thank you all around. I feel that Jacen is a character with an edge, so he should be drawn that way.

What a great update, angel_gidget!! Luke is one of my favorite characters, and you've done a great job of portraying him in a lot of his "facets!"
The first Luke/Vader piece is priceless! I was really laughting over that one--and what a perfect representation of Luke's playful, "farmboy" personality! The second one is more somber--more a metaphor for the way Vader's influence would forever haunt him...
The Luke/Leia scenes are great, with moments from ESB and ROTJ, which was where we saw their relationship deepen and grow stronger.
And the Luke/Mara ones are my favs! The last one especially: the way you've captured Mara's sleepy expression and surprise, and Luke kneeling at the bedside, offering her a beautiful flower and a warm, loving smile... What a great vignette of their relationship! You have such a great way of capturing the emotion of the characters, and the subtle interactions!
Wonderful work, and can't wait to see some more!

Love the Luke pics. I think you've captured his "look" perfectly. I especially adore the ones with Mara - you can really feel the love, there.

I'll admit! I Really dispise that lense flare tool!!
But you pulled it off in ways i cant even think of, especially with vader in there - hell it sets of a whole moody picture - and i like it!!

JadeLotus -- Thanks! I worry about capturing Luke's 'look" 'cause it changes as he ages, and I don't like the idea of drawing a picture of someone that could be anyone. It must look like the character it's meant to portray.
labpizza -- Now it's my turn to confess....I didn't use lens flair! I used a gradient tool in Correll Painter 7. I also have an aversion to the lens flair of Adobe Photoshop after seeing it misused and overused waaayyy too many times. However, I do try to use it creatively on occasion. It helps to use the blue one, or adjust the color tint so it doesn't have that ubiquitous "red circle" appearance. But don't appologize. There are people who share the hate for the Adobe lens flair!
