Nidrail: Thanks for the feedback now too! I think your wallpapers are well put together but I don't get the whole Obi-Wan/Padme thing. I've thought the wrapped headtails model I have is a little on the "pudgy" side myself, but I don't know how much I can do about it. I have never thought of trying yet, so perhaps in the future may come out better. As for the armband, I noticed the problem much too late to want to go back and fix it. That's about an hour long render and manually fixing it w/ postwork looked like it would take more time than I'd want to spend. Next time it'll be perfect!

FalconFan: Thank you! I had been dying to get that hair and put it to use for some time now. It finally went on sale so I bit the bullet and picked it up and it's probably my favorite hairpiece yet. It's got tons of options to play with. =D As for shadows, I don't know that my photoshopping skills are enough to do that manually yet, but The Guardian does have a moderate shadow on the wall behind her, just not on the floor. sad These set pieces are often hard to get shadowed properly b/c of the complex lighting set up to get lit properly. I'll keep working at improving my shadows though!

Darth_Snuggle: Thank you for coming by! =D I know my style tends to render the ladies rather large, but that's my style! =D Perhaps I can be convinced to do some smaller ones, but hey at least you can see proof that I can do normally proportioned people in Ellie and Branna. Regarding her tunic, it was an extreme cheap off the shelf purchase, but I had to create my own texture for it, and I didn't like the cut at the neck so I altered it myself. Then the guy I did the character for wanted it shorter than I originally made it so I had to chop it off a bit. For Lana, you can see yellow-orangish Twi'leks in the KOTOR games as well as a yellow-orange Twi'lek w/ red/purple stripings in Episode II during the bar scene. I made the mist match her outfit fairly closely b/c I did want her to disappear into it. Perhaps it didn't work out as well as I think. Thank you for all the compliments and suggestions!

Thank you all for coming by! Please do so again in the future. =D

Well, I am not into the obidala fan club (i don't get it either, and I much prefer the ani/padme story anyways), but they themes you have to go by every month. So that month they had a Padme and Obi Wan, so that's what I did.
Thank you for the complement, though. happy

Ok bout the Lekku, that certainly makes sense. There's only so much twisting and contorting you can do, and that I do understand. I was always trying to twist the 3d ships and stuff into other objects, so I do understand.

Take care, keep the faith and God bless!

Ah, that's right, there are some more uniquely colored Twi'leks in the KotOR games. Guess I was just thinking of the standard hues happy

As for having her disappear into the mist, matching the colors is a good start, but it could probably use more filtering/manipulating in front of her to convey that effectively. Some good old airbrushing combined with filters should do the trick.

Katie Lucas played a pink twilek with purple spots in episode 2,

Hi everybody! It's been almost a month since I last had something to post here (I told you it would be a while) and now it's here. Enjoy a nice spring day on Naboo w/ Daru in her new "dynamic" outfit. happy

Daru in a relatively modest outfit?!

**faints**

wink

All kidding aside, Giolon, this looks really great! The Naboo countryside behind her is wonderful, with the falls coming over the cliffs above her and all the pretty blooming plants around her--it really helps to emphasize her femininity, and is a lovely choice. Regarding that, the only thing I would suggest is to "rough up" the bottom part of the stands of taller grass around her little toes (I'll be it feels good to her, to wiggle them in some warm grass! wink )--the straight lines across the bottom of those stands make them look a bit artificial, but if you softened and made those bottom lines a bit more irregular, they'd look more natural. And as to her costume--isn't it pretty!? I too like the soft drape of it, particularly on the sleeves and around the hem of the skirt--the "shiny" effect on the fabric is lovely, too, making it look slick like silk satin or something. Excellent lace, as well--it looks very realistic. And her expression here gives the impression that she's really enjoying the day--relaxing and just being in the moment on a warm Naboo afternoon... A lovely picture, Giolon (and thanks for the link, btw! grin )!

Fantastic work! While the character is magnificent, I'm still really drawn to the Naboo surroundings. Wonderful scenery. Keep up the good work!

She seems to be a bit chunky for a Twi'lek. While I like a curved woman as much as the next man, they do tend to run towards the inverted pear shape if they're not toothpicks.

If you have Photoshop (which I assume you do), you might want to take your favorite texture, greyscale it, and... I believe the setting is Multiply? And slide a blue layer underneath? It gives you a bit more realistic of skin. Matching it with the lekku can be a pin, but you can always create a tile using the skin from the back of her scalp and use that to create the lekku texture.

Great job, Giolon. So is her outfit Dynamic as opposed to conforming? You know I never really understood how to use Dynamic outfits. I guess I really should read my owner's manual.

Nice background. Did you get Bryce and make it?

FalconFan: HA! See?! I can do nice clothes that aren't skimpy. I usually prefer not to, but this one called for it. happy Thank you for the excellent feedback. On my next outdoor images, I'll absolutely take some of this into account if I've got grass again.

Basement24: Thank you!

Darth_Snuggle: Thank you! Expect to see more clothing like this in the future! (exactly when I can't say, but I love it so it will return!)

alienyouthct: Thanks! Just as in real life humans, Twi'lek body types could be variable and stray from what you see in the movies. My girls are always going to look like this (HAWT!), unless I've got a specific requested image. I don't think she's chunky. Fully figured is what I'd say. wink In your stories and art, you definitely play with the rules around "typical" body types. I think that affords me the same privilege, no? I'll definitely take your texturing tips into consideration. I have tried various photoshop methods in the past, but just couldn't get the same vibrant colors I could achieve from the Poser Materials room. This, however, is a new one that sounds like it calls for some investigation.

AG88: So let me get this straight...you can figure out the hair room, but you can't figure out the cloth room? HA! That puts you 1 room ahead of me. I couldn't figure either of them out! I found an excellent tutorial on how to use dynamic clothing which spurred me on to this. I'll PM it your way once I get home from work. Thanks for the compliments. happy

Thank you everybody who took the time to leave feedback (I <3 you guys!) and small thanks to those who looked but didn't post any reply. happy I've got some new images to come out with later today, now that TF.net seems moderately stable again.

No, I never figured out the hair room. I have been drawing the hair by hand using Corel Painter IX. I sorta figured out the face room. That last Taming the Jedi pic I made up was done by poser including Luke's face. I thought he resembled the Jedi a bit. happy

I would appreciate any help you can give me in the various rooms.

Wow, Giolon, Very nice!
I finally just saw the picture... I have been very busy, I just got my first doll dress on ebay last night, so I had to put together some stuff for that.

I love the lace on that one! grin very pretty. happy I don't have any critisicm (sp?) to add because I think the other people spelled out the ONLY things that required fixing in the picture. Can't wait to see more!!!

Take care and God bless!
