I never really did like all the black that is filled in for shadows in american comics.
I like to let the colorist have their fun. And the colorist that have colored my stuff LOVE it...cause they get to play and do their thing, instead of being confined of a small area and the rest of it is black ink.
I guess as a black and white piece most of my stuff is "boring"...but once its colored...it POPS...if I do say so myself.
Yes, it does pop when colored, I am working on your Bly pic and it is turning out well.

Every last picture I printed of yours, and that I am coloring is turning out great. I am just wish I could draw as well as I color.

That is absolutely astounding. Wonderful detail. I have to ask, how are you drawing these beautiful drawings? With pen on paper or is it done digitally with a Wacom Tablet?
However you do it, it is amazing.

Thanks, I went to the store and I bought a similar pencil and some drawing paper. I just have one more question, if you don't mind. I noticed how clean and crisp your lines are on your finished work. How do you do that? Do you erase extraneous lines as you go from your pencil work or do you do the pencil work, ink and then erase the pencil work? Or do you do something completely different?
Sorry for asking all the questions, I am trying to teach myself to draw.

I scribble draw lightly, then do the final and detail in the pen stage.
OR if I do sketch something out I like, I make a copy of it, and light box it on to the comic board, so that way its clean and neat as well, then erase the extra lines AFTER inking.
As you can tell I dont have alot of black fill in areas like most american comics. If I do, I just put x's in that area, so I know to fill it in later in the pen stage, that way there is not a mess either.
I let the colorist do their work and they do an outstanding job at it too.

Hey, Ragelion, do you mind if I take a shot at coloring a few of your pieces? I'll show you and credit you, of course. Like you said, your drawings' open nature is really really cool for those of us who do the coloring. I can't wait to experiment.
