The Fan Art Challenge Holiday Special - December 2005

Now that you'll all probably kill me for posting the lyrics to the song Leia sings in the Holiday Special, we'll move onto the Challenge. 
Each month we will post up four topics on different themes that people can choose from. You can submit drawings, paintings, posters, collage, photo-manipulation... whatever you're inspired to do.

This is not a contest, and everyone is welcome to post responses to this thread, regardless of whether you've ever posted anything in this forum. Please don't be nervous or discouraged, because all of us would love to see your fanart!
Here are the topics for December:
DECEMBER FAN ART CHALLENGE:
Characters:Chewbacca or Qui-Gon Jinn
Scene:Anakin and Padme's Waterfall picnic(AOTC) or The Battle of Hoth (ESB)
Thing: An original speeder or land vehicle design
Fun: Your favorite Star Wars character(s) in a winter setting or holiday scene. And bonus points if you can turn it into a Christmas card.
The Usual Few Notes:
-Please post your images in this thread so we can have them all collected in one area, but of course you're also allowed to post them in your own artwork threads.
-You can submit fanart for one topic, or do all of them. It is up to you.
-Comments for everyone's artwork should also be posted in this thread. Even if you're not participating yourself, your comments are more than welcome.
-If you have suggestions for future topics, please PM them to me or post them in the Artist's Lounge Social Thread.
That's it. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of great artwork and hopefully we'll see some amazing pieces. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post 'em here.
The deadline for this challenge is January 1st.

Vanyoda, that is fantastic!! Beautiful picture. What are those animals that are pulling Yoda's sleigh? Are they the animals that Obi-Wan rides over to the Lar's house at the end of ROTS?

Here's my entry for my readers - based on the characters from my EU/AU stories 
Characters from L->R: Top: Han Solo Leia Organa-Solo
Bottom: Marxx Racees, Jaina Solo-Racees, Jacen Solo, Raven Racees-Solo, Tenel Ka & Anakin Solo
(Yes, confusing cast names - guess you need to read my stories to understand the relationships

New to the forums here but very old to the web site. I miss the old Holiday Wallpaper contests. Looking at the pictures from the FIDM Fan Day Gallery, I was inspired by one of the pictures to create a wallpaper in the tradition of the old contests. So here you go!
