"Open Call" Requests
The Rules:
The new Fan Art Request thread is designed to work in sync with the current "Volunteer" system. This thread is designed to allow more freedom to the folks asking for requests as well as the artists taking on the task. The goal here is to provide an "open" atmosphere for requesters and artists alike to ensure that requests get done promptly and on a higher level.
If You Would Like to Make a Request:
If you are interested in getting a request filled, please fill out the following form and post it within this thread with as much information as possible. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for the artists to render what you have in mind:

If you are an artist looking to fill a request, please review the list that will be posted on the first page of this thread and select the request that best serves your interests. After contacting the requester and getting a green light to proceed, send a PM to myself indicating which request you will be filling and I will update the thread accordingly.
The main goal here is to have fun with this! Remember, an artist is not obligated to fill anyone's request. They are doing you a favor. Please be patient! If you already have an artist in mind to fill your request, please hop on over to the "Volunteer" Request Thread for more information.

The purpose of "Volunteer Requests" is to fill the growing number of requests as prompt and as accurate as possible. Instead of posting your requests as "Open Requests," you will be personally asking the artists. A little bit about yourself: Once studied to be a graphic designer...won't go into the details of why I'm not working in the field as one. A little bit about yourself: Mostly a recreational artist when it comes to drawing pictures I have also discovered a passion for creating graphics. Coming this fall I plan on attending college to become a professional Graphic Artist, so I count the stuff I do now as practice. grin
I use a combination of Photoshop CS and Gimp 2.2 when working on my projects. I am very skilled at editing and compiling images such as avatars, banners, and wallpapers. I have not yet gotten the hang of color images, though it is something I hope to be able to do as my skill progresses.

A little bit about yourself: I'm not a registered Star Wars Artist, but I hope to be. Like most fans of Star Wars I've been drawing Star Wars pictures since I was a kid. Now I'm 37, I'm still drawing in my spare time - in between running a software company and writing a novel and short stories - phew!
I studied art and graphic design at the prestigious Bournmouth & Poole College of Art & Design in the UK. I then went to study Media design at the University of Portsmouth. I got seriously into computer art and ended up working for IBM designing multimedia applications. Since that time I've been working in all aspects of the computer Industry. from writing about it for Computer Shopper and PC Zone, talking about it for Sky TV and then getting involved with this thing called the Internet. I've been working in e-commerce website development since 1998. Oh dear. I've got to say that it's now becoming interesting with sites like YouTube and the likes of Google, but like the rest of the computer industry, it's lost the pioneering spirit that attracted me to computing in the first place.
So I'm coming back to my art, and my love of science fiction. I read it, watch it, write it and draw it. Yep, I'm a Sci-Fi fan.

PLEASE NOTE: None of the above artists are obligated to do ANYTHING! They have the right to turn down any request asked of them at any time. Just because you PM them does not mean they will automatically fill it.

I will in turn use this information to update the first page of this thread to alert everyone of which artists are currently working on something. Detailed Description: I want a drawing of two Mirialans, they will be sisters and Jedi to boot. The eldest is Mikaeline Sennedi and the youngest is Reaina Sennedi. Here's the info -
Mikaeline:
Her eyes are bright blue, they stand out in her face. Her hair is short, barely touching her shoulder and is wildly curly. Not tight curls and not consistant curls. If that makes sense, the color is blue-black. Both would have dark blue lips and fingernails, as well as the fruit-wood color skin. As for her clothing... I'm not exactly sure about... So, I'm gonna say, be creative. Something form-fitting for both of them, Mik's focus on dark blues, for Aina focus on dark purples. I do know a couple things, she would wear leather bracers. I'd also like to see tabbards of sorts, but if you can't work that in, don't worry about it. On to tattoos, Mik's tattoos are on her cheeks, the back of her wrists, and around her ankles. The ones on her ankles wouldn't be visible. Nor would the ones on her wrists. The other thing for her is the scar across her lips. Also, the skin in that picture is too light, it would need to be a few shades darker in my opinion.
Reaina:
Her eyes are violet, bright and noticable like Mik's. Her hair is long and wavy, I'd say midway down back, though I think it'd be cool if she had it up in an exotic fashion of sorts. Feel free to be creative there. Her hair is also blue-black, lips and fingernails blue, skin the same fruit-wood color. Her clothing, once again, not much of an idea, form-fitting, or maybe something similar to a Geisha's outfit. Though not so much clothing and definitely not as bright. Focus on purples. Her tattoos... let's see, she has them on her forhead and bridge of her nose, her chin, around her neck and on the back of her wrists. The tats on her wrists once again shouldn't be seen. Hers will be dark purple in color. You can go ahead and do as you wish as far as pattern goes for the neck. Her skin is right on, the tone is perfect in my opinion and it took me forever to get it right.
I sort of had these in mind as portraits that come down to the waist, I'd say go ahead and include lightsabers, but I'd rather not. I'd prefer them to each be drawn seperately, but remember they are sisters and need to have some sort of resemblence in face structure, etc.
Perhaps I'm simply too picky, but I'd also prefer them to be drawn by hand and colored using Photoshop or another graphics program. I want them to be as near to realistic as possible, but not 3-D or anything like that.
As for the background, I just want it plain old white. I have a pre-existing background I'll fix the image to so that I can use it on my Roleplaying forum. I'm having a really hard time finding images that resemble one another enough to be called sisters. :P

Detailed Description: The character's name is Anaron Nexon. He is a jedi knight from Tatooine, which basically goes for his complexion, he should have a firm, dark, smooth skin and a youthful look. He is 24 years old, to be precise. As for hair color, well, anything dark will do, from blacks to browns, just nothing light. He must have gentle, broad, cheekbones to show his handsomeness. It's a trait he has, no matter how many battle's he partakes in, he never gets scarred. Not too tall, about the same height as Obi-wan, taller by an inch maybe? Skin as tan, which I've already mentioned.
Clothing, well, let's see. If you've ever played the game KotOR II, then you will notice the Matukai Robes are actually green on there, so basically, the traditional jedi knight robes, in a light shadw of green. Except for the belt, the gloves and the boots, which should appear as brown leather.
Accessories, okay, all he really needs is a lightsaber hilt clipped onto his belt which should be made visible, it should be long, but thin and the button is red, it would be nice if the metal platings were a chrome sort of blue, but either silver or metallic blue will do fine. No particular background, if anything, a swamp, but I won't go into detail because it isn't highly a necessity in this particular portrait.
Finally, the name, Anaron Nexon, Jedi Knight. Written at the bottom of the page, only if you have the time, it doesn't even have to be fancy font. Just anything that labels this as that character.
Thanks to whoever decides to take this up, I think you'll find your timesworth, as it usually proves quite a challenge.

I have a Request. Could you do a character of mine from the RPF. His name is Aiden Kenobi. He is decendant from Obi-wan. He looks a lot like him from ATOC with a little of ROTS Anakin thrown in he is a young Jedi Knight. I would appreciate it.
He should be quite handsome. Tan skin, broad shoulders, Hair like Anakin form ROTS. Robes Like a cross between Anakin and Obi-wan from ROTS. His saber should have a blue blade with a hilt that is somewhat like Anakin's from ATOC or Mace Windu's ( your preferance). No facial hair, a strong jaw. He should have piercing blue eyes. He should look warm and wise, not extremely serious. If anyone could do this for me, You would have enough thanks to last a lifetime.

Description: I need a poster designed for my fan film "Dark Prelude". This film has already been completely(barring a few continuity shots) shot and I need a good poster for it. I have tried twice to do one on my own and I cant get a good one done. I can provide some early CG examples for it if you need it.
I dont want to give out details of the story publicly but I will PM a summary to the artist.
Other information: Dark Prelude is a completely green screened fan film that my partially completed rough edit tells me will be about 8 to 10 minutes long. You will of course get full screen credit and a DVD(Dunno if that is any incentive, but it is the best I can offer ) when the film is done(Hopefully around August). I dont expect it to be anywhere near as good as Duality or Revelations(I wish ), I will be satisfied if people say that it is obvious that I did my best.

Detailed Description: I need a detailed cargo ship. I need 7 angles of the exterior. (Top, bottom, front, back, left, right, and perspective.) Additionally, I need interior images of the cockpit. This ship will be created in 3D and used for the fan film "The Hunt for the Codex."

Setting #1: A planet never seen in films, mostly a rotting junkyard of machinery. The two Jedi engage in combat with several Sith attackers, the fight carries them through several parts of this planet. At one point they fall into a ravine of parts and ships...etc. Everything here is a mess, hardly any natives. Little junk-collecting droids constantly hover about.
Setting #2: In space some kind of command ship, much like Grievous's Invisible Hand. The Jedi fight their way through many halls and corridors. They also encounter a Sith leader in somekind of either control bridge or spire, or even perhaps an onboard hangar bay.

Any other Information: One of my favorite “What Ifs” always seems to come back to Star Trek crossed with Star Wars, specifically (but not limited to) Voyager and the Yuuzhan Vong. I’m now starting (that’s an understatement, I’ve been working on this for years); I’m now beginning actual production on a fan fiction series I’m tentatively called “The Crossing.”
A quick overview is that the Federation Starship USS Voyager takes a “wrong turn” on the way home from the Delta Quadrant only to arrive back home at Earth (a 70,000 light year trip), but it isn’t the earth they’re expecting, it’s 21st century earth. If things aren’t looking bad enough, two of Sci-Fi’s most feared villains show up to take on the little ship: the Borg and the Yuuzhan Vong. Voyager finds itself alone fighting a war of epic proportions with scales only slightly tipped when four Jedi Knights are added into the mix. And that’s just barely scratching the surface.

Detailed Description: Cindel Vis is an impishly cute female human of 10 standard years age, standing 1.375m tall and the build of a well-trained young gymnast. Her very thick blonde hair tumbles to her shoulders, framing her heart-shaped face with a pert button nose. Big blue eyes take in the world around her with enthusiasm and curiousity, yet there's a hard, stubborn set to her jaw and she takes her lessions seriously (too seriously?). She favors a short, sleeveless tan and brown tunic trimmed in white, which leaves her arms and legs bare. She also wears matte grey slip-on leather boots and a white utility belt. This outfit provides excellent freedom of movement, complimenting her own physical skills. Her emerald lightsaber was provided by her Master, as she hasn't mastered all the skills needed to make her own. The hilt bears some resemblance to the one carried by Master Skywalker. It's carried on her right hip, because she is left-handed.
Any other Information: Cindel's skill focus is on acrobatics and tumbling, as well as a deliberate choice of using the lightsaber defensively both in melee and against blasters. She isn't strong, and relies on dexterity, finesse, gymnastics and the Force to outmaneuver opponents. Being a physical learner, she can often be seen applying her latest research on lightsaber forms in the Academy courtyard against as many training remotes as she can handle, plus one. In her young life, she has already found herself in combat with Imperial Remnant forces, Hutt-backed mercenaries out on the Rim, and the Yuuzan Vong. She's at a dangerous point in her career, having seen great Jedi fall and danger looming all around the fragile New Republic and the New Jedi Order. Cindel's Master, a Jedi named Rol Kran, won't be appearing in the artwork, having taken an unusual 'hands-off' approach. They’re close friends, have known each other since childhood. They went into smuggling before Kaiden found out about his Jedi powers. Detailed Description: Dinn Tsalisz is a Corellian slicer, and Force-sensitive. She is about 5ft 6in tall, average build, with pale freckled skin. Her hair is shoulder length, black and slightly wavy. She doesn't take very good care of it so it is usually pretty scraggly. She has one green eye (her left) and one mechanical replacement, which has an output light of red. A slight scar runs from just above her right eyebrow and down to her cheek to show where the eye was damaged (and therefore replaced). Her personality is that of a trickster, easygoing and lighthearted, so she smiles quite a bit.
Her clothing is basic brown boots, black combat pants (the kind with many pockets, red tunic top, belt. She also wears a hiplength squad jacket, with numerous patches on the sleeves (these can be random as she is a collector). She wears two blasters on her belt and a thin, boring looking lightsabre. Doesn't go anywhere without a datapad.
I'm just looking for a basic standing pose, like she's been caught mid conversation with someone. Anything that shows all of her form, really.

Detailed Description: I'm opening a small online business called "English Rose", and need a small logo type (preferably vintaged styled) so I can send my customer's thankyou notes with the business on logo, and incorporate it in the final website design, etc. Artistic licence can be left to you, but something saying "English Rose" with perhaps a red rose curling around it slightly would be nice... The writing (or typeface) would look nice all curly (think archaic French handwriting!) and Victorian-esque I think!

Detailed Description: This one's a pretty strange request, but I think that it can be done. Basically, it is an image of padme Amidala, holding tightly to an OC named Moran Tarkin, as the cover art for the fic The Irony of Life. In this story, shrtly after her death, Padme is reincarnated into a new life, as the youngest daughter of grand Moff Tarkin. Things go well for the first eighteen years of her life, as she wishes to become an Officer of the Imperial Navy, but everything turns out much more complicated when memories from her former life slowly begin to resurface - a concept which the cover-art will illustrate.
Firstly, Moran will stand in the foreground, with Padme directly behind her, with her head placed on Moran's shoulder, one hand around the other's torso, holding tightly and another hand under Moran's chin, looking as if she's whispering something into Moran's ear.
A description of Moran: Basically a very striking resemblance to Tarkin - pale skin, sharp, hawk-like features, arrogant nose, gaunt cheeks, portruding cheekbones, slanted steel-grey eyes. She has coal-black hair, cropped very shortly, in a military fashion.
As for Padme, she looks the same as in the movies, with her hair let loose and spilling over her shoulders, in direct contrast to Moran's.
Composition: I wish for the background to be almost black and the general tone of the colors to be very dark and ominous, with plenty of shadows. Moran and Padme will be dressed very simply, in shadowy veils, enhancing the foreboding atmosphere.
Expressions: Padme should have a small, almost bitter smile on her lips, as she whispers and Moran's features should be set into a stoic mask, as if she's struggling to ignore the other's words.

Detailed Description: For Star Wars Tales, the fan film I am doing, I had a great artist from the Superherohype forums draw me a
final poster for the film. The only thing that’s missing is titles. I could do the titles but they really wouldn’t be that good. This is a photoshop job I did for the artist to show him what I wanted, and it also has what I was thinking the titles would look like. I want the tagline to be the same- PAIN IS TEMPORARY…TALES ARE FOREVER. I’d like it towards the top like in the test poster and the font to be Episode I (if you don’t have that font I’ll give you a link where you can download it). For the color use something that’s work good with the colors of the poster. For the Star Wars Tales logo use this one. It’s the same one as the poster and I’d like it to be really similar to the test poster. For positioning and size I’d like you to do something that’d look good on the final poster. Like you could tell on the test poster the credits are like an inverted pyramid. I don’t know how much credits space would fit with how you position the SWT logo but here’s what I’d like for now in the credits-
