earlybird-obi-wan - Thanks so much! I had just checked out your work for the first time in fact. Nice stuff, I like the Obi-Wan Episode II portrait (with his hood up).
Giolon05 - Haha, yeah, I wasn't sure what to call it, and that just came to me all of a sudden. Glad you enjoyed!

Love your work! Especially the work on the Clone Wars subject. Me and my kids love those cartoons. BTW has everyone seen the latest trailer for the new Lucasfilm stuff? B

The Han Solo is very cool! Have you thought of going into the animation business? I would love to see this character turn and fire the blaster! B

Thanks for the reply! I was actually trained in classical animation, so it's always something I've been interested in. Also something I base my style on as well.
Here's mine for the EU category for June's Fan Art Challenge. It's based off one of the very brief shots of Padmé from the new Clone Wars trailer. I love that CGI style already, and I really didn't think I would.
Finally got around to finishing a piece the old fashioned way like I did with my Aayla and Vosa pics. This is entirely drawn in Illustrator, line by line, then coloured in Photoshop.

I just love this painting, Basement!! This is a perfect capture of the CW style, and a wonderful portrait of Padme: this would, to me, be one of those "good-bye" moments between her and Anakin--when he's been home on a short furlough and then has to head back to the front lines--the look on her face here is just so sad... I love the colors, and the costuming and hairstyle you gave her--very much the Padme we know. Beautiful work!

Wow! Lovely work with Clone Wars Padmé. She fits very well into the animated universe and I think her costume/headdress is amazing. Wonderful!

Thank you for the compliments! I was really happy with the way this turned out. I was picturing it as a goodbye moment, or even a 'bad news from the front' image, where she might not have known if Anakin was safe or not.
Here's my newest for the challenge for the month. It's called either "The Humiliation OF Defeat" or "The Humiliation BEFORE Defeat". I'm leaning towards "before" but input would be helpful. Originally just going to be a Jango portrait, I thought I'd change it to be moments before the Reek stomps him.

Yay, Jango Fett!
The mirrored image in the visor is a great idea.
And I love the exectution of the picture, blunt lines and colours, that fuzzy stuff in the background.
unfortunatly, I'm not a good critic.

Oh wow, that is so awesome, B24! I love your way of thinking and the way you come up with the most obscure perspectives and instances to capture. That's what makes your work so interesting to look at and your Jango is a great example of that. The rendering of the helmet and the reflection of the Reek is just perfect. Even in the background, you can pick out the Jedi and battledroids going at it. This is a real fun piece. Nicely done!

LittleZion - Thank you kindly! I really enjoy putting colours down almost more than the actual artwork sometimes. Some of my sketches are very rough, and they really come together with some colour.
MsLanna - Thank you! Hehe, no worries, I enjoyed what you had to say. I appreciate any and all comments.
Bieren - Haha, hooray! I just saw your Jango signed by Morrison in your thread. That's quite impressive!
HanSolo29 - Thank you very much! I have been trying more and more to get away from my portraits, and I'm glad these new images I'm coming up with are so well received! (Although, my new one coming shortly is a portrait again, but you can't have win them all! :P)
Giolon05 - Thanks! The POV was an after though that I came up with after deciding the Reek should be reflected in the visor. I'm thankful it came out so well, I'm really happy with this one.
The mirrored image actually came to me at 1am. I woke up, thought of that, scrawled "Reek reflected in Jang T-visor" on a sheet of paper and did a thumbanil, then fell asleep again. And yes, it was just "Jang" not "Jango" in my sleep-scrawlings it seems... :P
I should have another one tomorrow. As I mentioned above, a portrait, but nonetheless, I'm quite pleased with it as well.

w00t!
Great Jango piece! I love your dramatic perspectives and angles, Basement--it's one of the things that really seems to define your wonderful work! Awesome render of the critter in the faceplate, too--that penultimate moment just before the "stomp," as you put it! lol! Awesome!
