Aww! I haven't been on in a while, but I was perusing your board, and I just had to comment on the Puss in Boots---sooo adorable!!  The Aragorn is lovely, too...very nice details. And, of course, the star wars sketch card montages are fantastic, wonderful depictions there.

Oh, loving the Vader WIP, jedipencil!  I can just see that one with the colors already...so cool! And Puss-in-Boots had me on the floor (love that character, and that moment in particular! lol!)!  The kitties are darling, and look wonderful in your distinctive style! How did C4 go for you? Great, I hope!

Hi everybody...!  Was gone on vacation, working like crazy on cards and commissions of every kind... so to unrust my rusty old joints, I did this Leia below... I'm still trying to find the chance to do those sketches of Jacen, Jaina and Ben...

Oh, I love this one! Such a wonderful, pensive expression on her face, and the colors are beautiful--it never ceases to amaze me the saturation of color you manage with watercolors... **sighs** Gorgeous! And best of luck with all the commissions!

Hi there jedipencil, and WOW on these latest additions! Luke and Leia are awesome--this was one of those great "hero moments" in ROTJ, and a definite homage to the "chasm swing" in the first film! Wonderful capture of the likenesses! And Ladyhawke!! I haven't seen that movie for years, and your cards are a wonderful reminder of what I always thought was a great story! Isabeau is sooo beautiful--those eyes are totally mesmerizing! And I should have known you'd soon be doing all sorts of fandoms, with your success: the "Heroes" cards are superb!
Can't wait to see your Jacen, and whatever new and wonderful pieces you can share with us here!

Wow! I just went through your thread here for the first time and count me in as an instant fan of your work! You do such a great job at capturing the feeling behind a scene or a face. Wonderful! And I really like how you use color. I think this card is one of my favorites:

Superb update, jedipencil! I absolutely adore your cantina image! I love the limited color palette and the composition reminds me a lot of Drew Struzan's work. I'm not sure if you were going for that feel, but that's the first thing I thought of when I clicked on it. Heck, you even got the guys from the Holiday Special in there! I'm impressed! Nicely done!

AH!! I love the cantina commission!! All the "denizens" in one place, lol! I agree with our moderator--the muted colors are wonderful, and it really does have a poster feel to it! And Aragorn... **drools** Well...'nuff said... Lovely, lovely work!

Obi-Dawn Kenobi, HanSolo29, FalconFan...Thanks for the kind words! For the cantina, the commissioner had asked for a monochrome color scheme, and I had wanted to give it a slightly "aged" feel to it. I'm not sure it completely succeeded, but I am pleased with it. So was the commissioner...! As there are a number of sets happening - Heroes has just been sent in, and a couple of others happening - I haven't been able to put as much time into Star Wars lately as I'd like. But, all the Jacen/Ben drawings are on my table, so they tempt me when I have a minute...
