hang in there ! I'm sure you will find a job soon hugs and in the meantime you have your husband to support you ^^

I like the one of Jareth, he looks creepy worried but in a good way. especially with the background, it completes the picture.
I have no idea who he is... but he reminds me of David Bowie raised_brow it must be the hair !

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that dag! And the firast one is... creepy. How is it, may I ask?

That is Eric, a character from the HBO series TRUE BLOOD. This amazing TV series is based on the Sookie Stackhouse vampire novels by Charlaine Harris. That book series does really enlighten my bitter unemployment period at present.

omg I'm so sad to hear the difficulties that are besetting you! I so hope that good fortune will come your way for employment and finances. and the the most important datas on your hard-drive will somehow be recovered.

your art is lovely as always. I love how the colors of the four goddesses juxtapose with each other. having lived in Hawaii, i must confess that i do feel strong kinship with Pele. There was a place up on Mt Mauna Kea that I passed every day on my way to school, that i thought was her sanctuary. (one of many on the island, of course)

wishing you the best.

Dear ratna, I knew you would like the Pele one. Let´s see how you like my latest attempts to paint more abstract each time I got tired sending out more applications.

Corellian_Outrider posted:
That is upsetting losing 7 years worth of data. How did it happen? Hopefully there is a way for you to be able to get it all back.

Your painting of the dog looks like it is all nice and relaxed.

Dear Outrider, my exteral drive was very old and I had no money to buy a new one. I also did not store my data elsewhere. My own fault basically. Now all is gone... all the stuff from my studies, the lessons & language material that I developed the past years, private photos, private video clips... just because I am as stupid as can be.

As for the dog, as nice as it looks the former study pal of mine did not react at all to it. So I think she did not like it and has vanished out of my life again, after giving my wedding a bitter side taste last year. Like four other people that deceided to quitt their friendship when I sended them the wedding invitations.

Being unemployed for 6 weeks by now and trying hard to get another teaching position in a foreign country, where your nationality is not very welcome at all, makes you think a lot about the values in life. Friendships, relationships, money, safety, belongings, memories...

As I already explained in my PM to you, dear kikichan, my husband can not support me. Actually I did support us until the 1st August.

And thanks for recognizing David Bowie due to his hair. Phew!

Now my latest updates for I was able to paint again.

First the rest of the FUTURAMA crew:

Something abstract inbetween:

DU´s granny:

Now it is re-paint time for the fan fiction "Grandfather":

Yesterday I did a lot after also sending away a little mountain of job applications.

Bender:

An autuum fairy and a pumpkin:

An autuum fairy and a leaf in the wind:

Lovers 1:

Lovers 2:

Another very abstract thought:

Now our living-room is full:

Sweet bird, I do not teach art in your country, just the German language, even though I am also skilled for the English language. But it seems that teachers with more experience and of Dutch origin get the jobs these days instead of me.

I wrote several German ministaries if there is a chance that I can return to my own country and if the past two years I did here in the Netherlands do count in any way.

Anyway, one good news, DU spent the last 20 days getting my data from my faulty external drive and copy the date for me on a new usb drive. Phew! He really did not talk about that any earlier because he did not want to give me any false hoop. I love my husband very much.

And I recognised the Futurama crew immediately, though I'm not a fan of the series.
The granny turned out great, too.

Thanks for checking, dear Lanna. *bereitet gerade übrigens ´Fluchtmöglichkeiten´ nach Deutschland zurück vor* If they do not wish a German teacher in the Netherlands of German origin than I try to go back... hoping my husband can finish his Ph. D. in chemistry smoothly.

Dear Gkilkenny, I also put a lot of time and efford getting a teaching position again as well since 2 1/2 months, but fanart is more rewarding and people react to the things that I do.

Expect more fan art from me after the weekend.

My favorite is Lovers 2 because of the beautiful colors, red and orange.
I also like the autumn fairy ones. the pumpkin reminds me of my nickname: Jack-O'-Lantern. When you have my name, you get a lot of nicknames.
