FalconFan posted:Holy moly! Azure's photos had my eyes watering! So much wonderful artwork--and in every imaginable medium! Models are enough of a challenge out of a box--I'm stunned you fashioned yours from your own materials (that space shuttle looks fabulous, as do the fighters!)! The many and lovely equines made me think of my high school years, when I myself was in love with horses and drew them daily (it's been many years since I did, though--don't ask me to try one now! lol!)--what a collection you have! And all the gorgeous canvases...how beautiful! What a gallery your home seems to be, and what a lovely way to express your loves, to display them so prominently and proudly! On the most recent updates--I love Anakin and Zane! They're so young (and Anakin's likeness is wonderful, as always!), and it's an imposing hallway they appear to be standing in (with their Master approaching...?)--beautiful light, as in all your wonderful paintings... The stream scene still exudes a rather melancholy feel for me--I love the beautiful green hues, though (one of my favorite colors, and perhaps why I can understand why this boy would want to be surrounded by soothing greens, especially as he seems sad...). It has a lovely mood, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of this one! Beautiful--the luminescence in your handling of light is something that always impresses and awes me, as oils seem to defy that with their opacity...you have a true gift! FF
Iverna posted:I'm just discovering these forums properly, and wow, what I've missed... I really like your work! Such variety of media--is there anything you can't do wonders with? I really love your paintings, you did a wonderful job with those.
Black-Dog posted:That's a fantastic piece you've made there. I like the gathering with the horses, though it's the scenery that really stands out to me.
FalconFan posted:Black-Dog speaks truly, for your gift for landscapes and nature is something that gives your work an almost reverent feel...just the way you use color and light, and how you integrate the characters and animals into the scenes. I do backgrounds on occasion because I must, but you seem to revel in them, and it shows in the quality of the work. This one is very beautiful, with the surrounding trees, the relaxed postures of the animals and people; I wonder who the Force ghost is, though...lingering with the seated figure? Reflections are SO hard to do well, but this is a wonderful start--again, a lovely work! FF
AzureAngel2 posted:As for your new up-dates: supreme! Yes, your gift for light and landscape with gorgeous people & animals in them is brilliant. Must be that you are Dutch and follow a great tradition here: Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer...
AzureAngel2 posted:I love the new painting in progress and the Hussans that belong to your fanfic are gorgeous.
TheOnlyJediPrincess posted:very pretty! I love the detail in the face!
Black-Dog posted:Those are great works earlybird. I like the calm demeanour of the Jedi, and the one with the horses I really enjoy. I'm just a sucker for art on nature.
