Because the old has been lost to the depths of fanartdom sad

So to start with some new work, this is part of a series I'm working on. Alice in Wonderland. Used just pen and ink. There is a bit more I have to touch up on, such as adding some shadows and more of a background to get rid of the floatiness of the piece. Otherwise, I think it's almost done. Any other criticism would be much appreciated.

Glad to see you back, SLG! happy

For some reason, that illustration freaks me out. I think it's the guy smoking the hooka(I can't think of his name, argh!). Very different from the Disney version, which we're all familiar with. In fact, I think you did a very nice job making this your own. It's not easy to take something that is as well-known as Alice in Wonderland and come up with something original. I admire you for that. Your pen and ink skills are also very good. Nice job with the cross-hatching and fleshing out the characters! I hope to see more from you soon! happy
