GAH!! applause I LOVE it!! I can almost hear whatever flip remark she's making to Han (there were so many in ESB...it's hard to catalog them all! laugh )! Beautiful likeness, gorgeous shading and hair--I love her mouth and eyes especially! applause You've definitely captured our beloved Princess at her sarcastic best! grin Wonderful job!

I saw your Leia drawing in the Challenge thread and I had to come on over here and comment!

You have a great style going for you! The realistic portraits are something different and you pulled both of them(Obi-Wan and Leia) off beautifully! Great sense of likeness and I love your delicate pencil work in the features of the face. I agree with FalconFan that I would love to see more portraits like this from you! Keep up the awesome work! happy

Wow your stuff is great! I especially like the Jawa, the Christmas R2/Leia and the "fisheye" view of R2-D2.

Thanks I'm glad you all liked the Leia. I'll try to work on some more
drawings. But I'll keep mixing it up with some Quick Sketch and
refined cartoons with some realistic drawings thrown in.

So here's some sketches of Ben

I think Hermi Odle so cool. So I did a refined cartoon.
I like most of jabba's and cantina aliens especially the ones
that where in the movie for seconds. So I hope you enjoy them,
I hope to do more of Jabba's men.

Hey ART2-D2,

I love your art! It's so expressive and unique grin
I like your cartoons best, but my favourite has to be R2-D2 in your first post - it's a really interesting angle, and you've managed to bring out his playful personality happy

Your pencil drawings are also stunning - you seem to be talented in a variety of styles.

Keep it up!

ACH!! applause applause Ugnaught w/ 3PO's head= "Alas, poor Yorik!" applause Beautiful capture of that fractional moment in the film--wonderful drapery, most excellent shading on 3PO's metal head, and a great job with the ugnaught's wrinkly countenance, too! The battle droid looks fabulous--and cartoony Luke gave me an instant giggle! Wonderful caricature there! applause Your talents know no bounds, yes? grin

Does anyone else have this problem? Where you have so much design/art concepts going on in your head idea .
That you don't know what to work on next frustrated . My attention span silly isn't where it should be either. So I have a big pile
of odds & ends to get done, like inked up, or refined and plenty of what I call doodles. And time is always the enemy.
So how does everyone else handle this?
Later

Hope you enjoy the new stuff!

Glitbiter:
Thanks, Glad you like the cartoons. I enjoy doing odd perspective drawings like R2.
Hopefully I'll get some time to finish a couple rough prespective drawings that I have started.

FalconFan:
Glad you like them I especially like doing the ugnaught I love a challenge especially in pencil.
Cartoons are still my favorite style. Also trying to get the hang of adobe for coloring.
But I still like black and white. Thanks again

I had a little giggle and a long nod when I read your "dilemma," about having "too much of a good thing...?" That's actually a great problem for an artist to have--lots and lots of inspiration and ideas--the biggest stumble to it, then, is arranging the time! lol! What I like to do when that happens is to just let the muse decide: I work on whatever piece most appeals to me first, and let the others "percolate" a little more (or until the next seizure by the muse!). I've found, even when I have commitments (like requests), working that way tends to keep the creative "juices" flowing, rather than forcing myself to work on something that doesn't "strike me." The work all gets done, sometimes a bit at a time--but I'm continually inspired all the while. I guess, when one is working professionally, discipline about doing something that isn't necessarily inspired from within is key--but for the stuff I do for myself, that method seems to work pretty well, and keeps me interested! wink I loved seeing these new pieces: I just watched ROTJ again the other night and caught glimpses of those bottom two (just for a few seconds each!), and LOL if I wasn't wondering who in our forum would eventually draw them?! wink laugh And here they are!! applause Love them all! grin

Hey ART2-D2, long time no comment! I really like these new works you've been doing! And I still haven't a clue how you've trained your hands so well to be able to create these wonderful things so quickly shock And you beat me to quiet a few backgrounders, and I am glad you did with the amount of justice and well rendering, bravo! Especially on the Ugnaught wink

FalconFan :
Thanks I'm glad you liked the new drawings. I love the people/droids/creatures that only get seconds on the screen.
It's a shame because I bet some of those costums cost bucks & time. The only problem is It makes it tough to find photos
and theres alot of guess work.
Also Thanks I like your concept/view of working on art. I'll have to give it a whirl.

Mitth Fisto:Greetings, Glad you like them especially the Ugnaught. It's all in the wrist. No... I've always been pretty fast with a pencil but I used to draw constantly. Would rather draw then do my homework. Thanks!

Hey, these are great ART2! The one with the skulls is both cool and freaky, though my favourite is the last one - you've given him such a great character! Is this caricature?

Great job! grin

Squee!!! Another handsome pic of our favorite "rogue smuggler!" applause I love it--perfect likeness, and the lines and shadows are awesome! Shaak Ti is just lovely--her expression is so sweet--warm and open and emphasizing her beauty! And GONK!! I LOVE that little droid! He has a great "closet" following, I think--we all tend to jump in and "gush" whenever someone draws him! Such a short time on-screen, but so endearing! And Jabba's little minion looks great, too! Love them all--terrific stuff (and I hope the flood of inspiration continues for you! wink )! grin
