Poor Fenn. He oughta just to take a screenshot of his mailbox every six hours so everyone's on the same page.

Nathan, I say you should review it, Fanworks connection or not. It's not like you directed the piece tongue . Put a little a disclaimer on the front if you like re: the Fanworks connection. I'd personally enjoy reading said review.

Anyway. Well, this was fun to work on, and I'm going to miss having an excuse to visit NataliePortman.com's image section all the time grin ... although for images of really-young-Nat plain

But most of all, I'd like to give a special thank you to Elizabeth Ascot.

She's a terrific little actress, and this is her play.

blush Thanks a lot Linda. I appreciate it. happy

Chris--you didn't like Raneely?? *laughs* He was in my top five favorite characters! I think John did a great job portraying his mean and snivelly nature. And I have to agree with you on Veruna and Xixor--both of them were done excellently! Hats off to Abe and Jeremy! grin

Oh, and I burst out laughing at the end when Adam's name was pronounced wrong! grin Sorry, but that just sounded really funny to me. Oh and Adam, where was your "cameo" line? I never picked it up. Clueless me...

Adam: Maybe I'll create a section of those kind of reviews for the site under Miscellaneous or something. Maybe some kind of essay on each project. I dunno. Just seems kind of disingenuous to me.

Keith,

Still haven't had a chance to download it yet. I have 56k at home and it just isn't worth hogging all my bandwidth here. I will try it out when I get to work. Can't wait to hear it all.

Fenn,

Geez, no need to get all bent out of shape. wink I was told Chris Hanel was the one to go to for the longest and never really got anywhere. This morning I was told it was you.

I don't think Chris even has news posting capability. When a news release about 2S took forever to get up, he had to get special permission to put it up himself, as I recall.

Keith,

I've been keeping my eye on this ever since we first talked back in December(?) and boy was it worth it. The mix was near perfect far as I could tell. Great transitions, excellent SFX/Foley and ambient noises, awesome mix man- really. I listened to it while I was working in AE tonight (one of the nice things about audio dramas- It only commands one of your senses) and I had to keep stopping cause I kept getting caught up in the story and the performances. It really took me into that world and the sounds were so real I didn't have any problems conjouring up what those characters or environments actually looked like.

It's already been said, but Elizabeth's performance was excellent- no, no-I take that back. It was more than excellent. She was Padme in my minds eye. Perfectly cast. I loved Red Beard and nearly everyone else performed admirably for a fan production. I hate to say it, but the one thing in the entire Star Wars universe that I can't stand is Jar Jar's voice. Your impression of it was actually pretty good...which was a bad thing for me. happy That same disdain carried over to Pam's character also, which is a shame cause she did sound like a Gungan (even though I felt it was made a little TOO quirky), but that just carries too many negative feelings for me. That's not really your fault though and you stayed true to the universe, so I tried to overcome my prejudice.
Well, what can I say? This was awesome! I can totally see why this took 4 years to do. Bravo chap! Stand up and take another bow- you guys really deserve it.

[applause]

Elizabeth...Adam's cameos come during the guard chase scene. He's one of the guards screaming to get you even up to the point where you close the door to the kitchen and the guards are yelling at you from behind the door. Don't ask me for which lines specifically. That's a little hard to remember. :P

Jeremy:
Thanks so much for your comments. I know the whole cast and crew would be very appreciative of them.

Ya know, I still love the fact that all the tree branches cracking, bark scraping, running in the woods, and brush being whizzed by were done by me, Luke and Ann. That was a blast to do. Foley work was something we actually spent a lot of time doing, and I do think it added a lot to the overall sound. You mostly think of mixing and recording dialogue but we really did it all. happy I wish there was video of us when we were stomping our feet on the floor grabbing each other with coats on in the hot afternoon inside that garage hehe. That would have been priceless. happy I do have the raw audio though. hehe.

We got so lucky with Elizabeth. In fact, the original thread of how we found her is still here on TFN! happy I know Michael has the link on his site somewhere.

Yes, indeed. I knew people would either like the character of Jar Jar and Nordey in RoN or they wouldn't. Simply because of Ep1 or the acting. I sure hope people dislike our characters more because of prejudice than our acting. hehe. At least in this case.

Thanks again! happy

Keith

Since the release we've had 5 gigs with of traffic on our site, and that's not even including the downloads from the mirror sites. I'm really curious what the majority of these people thought of the audio drama. It's a shame folks haven't been communicating, but there have been a handful of responses and all have been positive.

Anyone else? Oh and Elizabeth told me she's working on a Raneely fan fic. happy So when do you think we'll get to see it Lizzy? happy

Not being a computer geekoid, I'm not sure what 5 gigs is. Is that a lot?
