	There’s a wise saying – “Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.” If something is going on behind closed doors, you don’t want to be on the other side – the dangerous side – of those doors. TK is sensible enough to know that she needs to stay in the loop. She was born into politics and despite the fact she’s a Jedi and a warrior, she needs to play the field. She needs to play dice with political opponents otherwise the Crown is in jeopardy. I would have thought Old Corellian would have been more appropriate for him. – Is Old Corellian even in wide circulation? Thanks RK and TK for the Hapan worlds’ information and stats! Hmm, do you think it would be a good idea to include both in the index? Carr? It’s certainly vital enough to writing J/TK and Hapes (even if the stats are a bit unreliable or contradictory to other sources). 	Old Corellian...perhaps not as a language per se, but as idioms making their way into the common Corellian lexicon, I think it is. I think we could put the sourcebook info in there, although condensing them down a bit for those of us who don't read RP might help. 	Well, I don't know how out of place this is, but I have a major question that has more to do with Dathomir than Hapes. I remember reading that Kirana Ti had a daughter, but I don't seem to ever recall seeing a name. Anyone have a clue on this? Since Dathomir has become interwoven with Hapes in the EU, I wonder if it is relevant to place more questions on Dathomir on the floor for discussion. -----signature----- I bleed Cubbie blue.

	I don't seem to ever recall anything that said Dathomir joined the Consortium. I would draw a real world relation of Dathomir and the Consortium to what Hannover and the United Kingdom had after Victoria took over after the death of Prince Albert. The royal family was still German (still is despite name changes), but Hannover didn't have a clause that allowed females to rule the nation. Before, the Kings of England were also the Dukes (Kings? blah, I'm rusty on my German history) of Hannover, assuming I remember my German history correctly. So if I am wrong, please point that out now. So on that token, I don't believe Teneniel Djo was the ruler of Dathomir. If anything, she probably only held some influence of the Singing Mountain Clan, something I don't recall reading about in the EU. -----signature----- I bleed Cubbie blue.

	Thank you RK_Striker_JK_5 and -Tenel-Ka- for typing up the info and stats from the RPG books. I find it rather interesting in the RPG stats that Jacen is a straight Jedi Guardian while Tenel Ka has a rank in Fringer. I was expecting her to have both Jedi and Noble ranks since she is a princess, but the inclusion of a fringer rank surprises me a little. RK_Striker_JK_5: Oh, plot bunny just bit my leg! Well feed it then! CarrKicksDoor: Jacen can speak Calamari? Yeah, I thought that was a little incongruous, too. I suppose he might have learned it from Cighal or choose it as his "second language" to learn academically much the same way we have to learn a second language in school (like Spanish, French, German, Japanese, etc). As for TK being a part of Ta'a Chume's social circles , I wouldn't have believed that except Ams brings up a really good point (the whole “Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer" bit ). I'd imagine that it would be something Tenel Ka gets involved in not because she likes it but because she needs to know what's going on in the political waters around her. As for Dathomir -- it's definately relevant to include info considering that for a long time Tenel Ka was really only embracing her Dathomir heritage and tried to distance herself from her Hapan heritage. I never read anything about Dathomir joining the Constortium and I rather doubt it ever would. One, its a primitive world so even if they wanted to join the Consortium may turn up its nose and say no. Two, the clans of Dathomir may have no interest in going up with the Consortium. 	I just leafed through the Essential Guide to Planets and Moons. Han turned the ownership over to the sisters of the Singing Mountain clan. As Carr pointed out, she would have been the ruler if her mother had died. As it was, I think she was Queen of Hapes and Crown Princess of Dathomir. There’s lots of coverage of the Singing Mountain Clan in Courtship of Princess Leia. I haven’t read parts of that book in a long while, though. Question then--would Tenel Ka then bring Dathomir into the Hapes Cluster, or would she rule it separately, or even turn it over to one of her clan sisters? If Tenel Ka inherited the title, I think it would be much easier to bring Dathomir into the Cluster as a protectorate not a dominion (I’m once again drawing from the British Empire here). The Queen Mother would then be able to protect her homeworld using Hapan resources. If she ruled Dathomir separately, Dathomir would have to officially ask Hapes for assistance (look at it this way – the GFFA is never a safe place. Spoilers on Troy Denning’s new books reinforce that.). Hapan politicians are likely to take advantage of that request. Dathomir is a low-tech world and while it has much potential (eventually it’ll undergo some sort of revolution to bring it up to speed with the galaxy), it can’t protect itself right now. In any case, last I heard the Yuuzhan Vong had captured Dathomir. Dathomir was then presumably freed after the Vong defeat. What state is it in post-TUF? 	Sil, Tenel Ka would still have precedence over a possible younger sister. Let’s relate this back to the British royal family (they do seem to be our lineage of choice): The current Queen of Britain is Elizabeth and she had a younger sister named Margaret (she’s deceased now). Even if Elizabeth had died before Margaret, Margaret would not inherit the throne. Her line of succession would be subject to the Queen’s children. Charles would inherit the throne – and even if Charles wouldn’t accept the position or abdicated, there are other children. The only way Teneniel’s possible younger sister would become Queen/Leader would be if Tenel Ka refused the position or died without children. 	I'm with Ams on this one. I think it's been pretty much said in some of the books that Tenel Ka holds her dual heritage in pretty high regard--and I remember her saying somewhere that she was a princess of both Hapes AND Dathomir. Could not tell you for the life of me where that is, but I do remember seeing it. Tenel Ka will rule Dathomir as soon as her grandmother dies, although Augwynne seems to be onery enough to not die for a while--The Singing Mountain Clan owns Dathomir, hands down. I don't think Teneniel was involved because she didn't have to be--her mother was taking care of things just fine. 	You mean in Lightsabers? BTW, I don't think Allaya Djo (Teneniel's mother) lived to COPL. I don't exactly remember, but I do believe TK grandmother on her mother's side was killed in some fight. 	There's some conflict as to whether Augwynne is TK's grandmother or great-grandmother--several books conflict on that mark. No matter what, the title to Dathomir goes to TK in the end. But now that we've got the ownership of Dathomir established...how would Tenel Ka protect it from the influence of Hapes?
