The Forgotten Monarch (Teneniel Djo Characterisation and Challenge Thread)

After writing Teneniel Djo in my fic "Balance Point" and compiling the Crystal Reef Palace Auditorium, it prompted me to think about TD characterisation and involvement in Star Wars fan fiction. Not surprisingly, no one has really focused extensively on TD. The same can be said for the actual novels.
So driven by my new interest in the Queen Mother, I challenged a few friends to write a TD story. It can be any length and there are no conditions – well, except for the fact that TD needs to be the central character! If they wanted, I’d give them a sentence they had to use in their ‘fic. Five people (excluding myself) are participating.
Would you like to participate? I've jokingly call it the “Write Teneniel Djo or DIE!” challenge. I’ve been told it’s catchy  . All you need to do is post your story to the relevant forum (Beyond usually) and then place a link here. This thread is for TD characterisation if you become stuck.
I’m currently trying to work on a TD/Ta’a Chume confrontation vignette.

Well, you already know I'm in.  My story should be up in a few days. I'm really looking forward to reading everyone else's. TD's a fascinating character if you give her a chance--there's a lot of room for expansion on the base the EU's given us.

TD's a fascinating character if you give her a chance--there's a lot of room for expansion on the base the EU's given us. – Couldn’t’ agree more. For some reason, I picture TD with a very dry, very subtle, very well masked sense of humour. I think we all know that she’s formal, so perhaps another challenge could focus on writing TD humour.
I watched a movie “The Winslow Boy” the other day (based on a 1940 play, I believe) and the reserved and proper manner in which they spoke made me want to write my TD challenge ‘fic. Early 20th century London British as the Hapan royal house? Thoughts?

I actually co-wrote a story that focused on Teneniel Djo a few years ago. I'll have to look for it in the Classic Fanfic forum.

Hmmm...
I'm always up for a challenge. I think I'll give this a try, but I won't promise when I can get it done. I'm in the middle of writing five different stories right now. I must be insane, but I'd like to take a shot at this one, too. I think I had better read some of the EU books again.
