To tell the truth, I think it cyclical. You work with a certain ship and then you tire of it and move to something else. Ultimately you will return.

Sorry about the HUGE delay in getting here. I had a fantastic trip to the States - absolutely ASTRAL!!! 
Typically I got back home and got snowed under at work and then managed to catch some funny bug. (Or maybe I should say the bug caught me?)  So I have been a bit useless for the last month - have managed to keep going to work and that's about all. Anyway I seem to be coming right at last so will get going on the magazine again. My first job though is to finish the last post of my little A/T casual challenge response and then I WILL be posting magazine stuff.
One good thing about being sick is that I have just about caught up with the books and am now nearly finished Inferno. Yay! At last.
The bad thing is that now I am becoming obsessed with Jacen - JUST KIDDING. (Goes off and does a ritual cleaning exercise. LOL)
Thanks for the trip wishes Ant, and great to see you back to A/T again Brodiew.
Yoda - Whitey sent me a list of challenge possibilities a wee while ago so I'll dig it out.
One thing we will need is someone to either take over Courtney's job collecting new A/T stories - or perhaps we could simply expand the "Author's Chit-Chat" section a bit more so that the writers can post their own links. What do you guys think is best? If someone would like to come up with new ideas that would be cool.

*pokes head in* I've got a nickname for Tahiri. I called her "Rila" in one of my stories. It's the last two letters of her first and last names. That's all I've got at the moment. *disappears*

I think the nick names 'Scars' is appropriate. I've always written Anakin as turned on by the three scars on Tahiri's forehead.
It does't have to have a negative, emotional scars connotation, since she has been integrated.

I like both those nicknames - and yes I agree with you brodiew that Anakin finds her Vongness sexy. I also think he found her Tusken aspect sexy - an idea I've used quite a lot in stories.

Thanks so much for offering to be the new story findsperson. That would be cool if you could do that. I've finally completed the A/T casual challenge story so am now going to start on the magazine, as well as catch up with everyone's stories of course. Looking forward to that.
The best idea is if you go back over the previous issues and look at how it was done in those. You can either maintain that format - or come up with your own. Either is fine.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Courtney for all the work she did, and the enthusiasm with which she did it. She's a great team member. Hope all's going well, C_S.

Hi, all!
I can't really think of any good nicknames for Tahiri, mainly because I can't imagine Anakin using one. He holds her so highly in his mind, I imagine her name being almost sacred to him. I can picture other characters calling her "scars" or some such name, but I think Anakin says 'Tahiri' with the same feeling as a prayer. After all, she is his saving grace in so many ways.

Which is probably why he has no problem with her calling him 'Dummy'.

I have a really hard time with the idea of Tahiri having a nickname. Other than, you know, sweetheart or something. I think because, no matter what timeframe she's in, her identity was something that was always so important to her. When she was growing up, she didn't know her last name, didn't know who her parents were...she risked her life to find out who she was. And when she was captured and tortured by the Yuuzhan Vong, they totally screwed with her identity, and she worked so hard to figure out who she was. When she found out she had a split personality, she freaked out because she didn't want Riina there, she didn't want to lose herself, lose being Tahiri. I think it says something that when she merged her personalities, she chose to keep going by the name Tahiri. So...that's why I have a hard time seeing her with a nickname. I almost see her bashing someone with her lightsaber if they tried to call her something else. But that's just my opinion.

I totally agree with Kidan...what happened to the Tahiri who went to Dagobah to seek out her destiny and went on an adventure all her own? What happened to the Tahiri who knew she missed Anakin, but knew she had moved on from his death? It makes me so frustrated...though I saw it coming from some of Troy Denning's comments after he wrote the Dark Nest Trilogy. That's why I ended up writing a fanfic story about her...isn't that one reason people write fanfic? As an outlet for things that they wish could have happened? Oh, well...it's not that I think the profic writers are bad writers...I just don't agree with some of the characterization. Mostly of Tahiri. There seems to be no consistency.
