	This is all the info* for the 2005 Summer FanFic Awards Rules For Nomination: 1. Any story that has won in a previous awards ceremony is ineligible for the category/ies it has been awarded in for this and future awards. 2. Any author who has won in the "Author" or "New Author" category cannot win in that category again. "New Author" is anyone who has posted their first story between November 30, 2004 and June 9th 2005. 3. Hosts are ineligible for nomination within the era they are hosting. 4. Any story posted on, begun, or completed within the eligibility period is eligible for nomination unless it is an on-going story that has won in a category before (see rule #1). The eligibility period is December 1st, 2004 to June 9th, 2005. 5. Stories that have been reposted from "Classic", especially finished and moved ones, are not eligible unless the story is ongoing/completed within the era reposted to and not in "Classic". Stories that have been finished in "Classic" and then reposted to one of the eras are not eligible. Please do not repost a story completed in "Classic" in an attempt to make it eligible again. 6. If a story from "Classic" is still going, it is eligible for nomination in any category it is eligible for, in the era it would be posted in if reposted. However, reposted stories are not eligible if they were completed in "Classic" and then posted in one of the eras. They are only eligible if finished in "Classic" within the eligibility period, or "moved" from "Classic" before completion and have been posted on or completed in one of the eras within the eligibility period. 7. All nominated stories ("Potentials") will be listed in a "Master List". Once they have reached the requisite three nominations, they will be pulled from the "master list" and put into a "Qualifying Nominees" list. 8. If, by the close of nominations, a category has only one Qualifying nominee and several Potentials, all stories in that category are taken to the voting round. 9. No self-nominations. No nominating with socks. Nominating with a sock will result in a short-term ban and all of your nominations not counted. 10. With the PM of nominations, please include links to stories as well as name of story and author names. 	You're in the correct forum. Twice per year there are awards threads. It's run by various volunteers who set the process for nominations and voting. 	The rules actually get changed around a bit every time, depending on who's running the awards and what went right/wrong last time. The only thing that's an absolute constant is that a story has to have been posted on TFN, and updated at some point since the last awards ceremony--which is around the middle of January in this case, I think. Because I never clean my links folders out, I actually have a link to last summer's voting thread. 	Everyone, readers and other writers, nominate stories in the nominating process, and if you have gotten so many nominations (last time it was 3) then your story will move onto the awards stage. 	Usually everyone sends in a list of who they want to nom for what catagory. When a fic gets three noms, it goes on to the final list. after the first round of voting, everyone votes on what stories, characters, and authors should win the whole thing. At least, that's how the winter awards went.
