Welcome to the Writers Edition of the game Fluxx. If you have never played Fluxx, do not worry; it should be simple to follow the flow of the game.
Writers Fluxx is similar to a Round Robin in that the players take turns contributing to a story but there is more fun to be had.
When the game begins, there will be one “Rule Card” in play. The first writer will contribute to the story while adhering to the Rule Card. For example, if the Rule Card said “No character may die” then the writer would be unable to kill a character in his contributed portion of the story. At the end of that writer’s contribution he will “play” one of his cards—three cards are given to each player at the start of the game.
• If that card is another Rule Card that does not conflict with the first Rule Card—such as “Each contribution must include an Ewok”—then it is added to the Rule Card pile and the next author must adhere to both of the rules.
• If the card is another Rule Card that does conflict with the first Rule Card—such as “A character must die in each contribution”—then it is added to the Rule Card pile and the contradicted Rule Card is removed.
• If the card is an Action Card then only the next author must obey the Action.
• If the author does not like any of his cards, he may elect to trade in one of his cards instead of playing any card.
Each player will be given three cards at the start of the game. There are two types of cards for Writers Fluxx: Rule and Action. Action Cards are applicable to only the author of the next portion of the story; whereas, Rule Cards are applicable to every author that contributes to the rest of the story until the Rule is contradicted by a new rule or removed by a certain Action Card.

Contribution Guidelines:
At the beginning of your post please add:
Rule Card Pile =
Action Card Pile =
and fill in all the Rule Cards in play as well as any Action Card that the person before you played.
At the end of your post please add the card you are putting into play.
Card played =Card #...
copying in the information that I send you about your card-- including whether it is an Action or Rule Card.

The story will begin taking place in the OT time period, immediately after the evacuation of Hoth. I figured that was best for this first round as everyone should be familiar with that time period.
I will post the first Rule and contribution and then off it goes. Once the first post is up, whoever would like to add to it--and is willing to commit to posting a response within 24 hours--should PM me. I'll respond back to all those who PMed, affirming the order of play.
Note that it is up to all the authors to monitor whether anyone breaks a rule or forgets to do an action.
