not really a J/TK related question but how would Leia react if a little kid walked up to her and called her grandma?
I got a little plot bunny where Allana went to teh Jedi Academy so that she could get away from teh politics and all and train and got tired of more than half her family not knowing who she is.
and on the vid: the laptop got trashed, so now all I have is my uni harddrive

Um, yes, it has. As of Inferno, I now hate Jacen Solo. He can go die. But first, Jaina must redeem him. I've been working on some profic for my class at school, so I;ve been concentrating on that, and not fan fiction. However, I have two stories on here I'd like to get done before I go to college.
Incidentally, I got my acceptance letter from WMU. Very happy. I'm going into creative writing, so you all may see me as a real author one day. Maybe. My independent study teacher thinks I can make a career out of it. I blame (or praise) fan fiction.
But Jacen? Stupid. Totally stupid. Or, should I say Caedus? And I thought the men in MY family were arrogant know-it-alls. I'm so glad Tenel Ka almost blew him up, though. Power to feminism, as I always say. I hope she tells Han and Leia about Allana in Fury. I don't know though, because I won't get it until Christmas, as a present, because I am broke. (Incidentally, from my $300 Christmas dance---sorry, winter formal---dress and all the presents I bought for my parents. What sucks is I'm not done with them yet, and I still have my brother and my grandmother to by for!)

congrats, Darkwriter. ^^ creative writing, eh? I almost decided to minor in that. and Caedus can go to hell.
and this is not J/TK related but I've decided to attempt to write/plot out a fanfic by hand during classes, such as the minutes between when I finish a problem and when the professor starts talking again in Orgo Chem (I'm really fast when it comes to math and chem), and during every class that takes attendance.

Go to hell????????? Let's not be THAT angry at him. After all, I DO want him to be redeemed, and then go to live with all the happy Jedi (Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda, Qui-Gon, Anakin Solo, Mara, Mace...no, OMG, he'd bee happier in hell).
Good idea! That's what I used to do when I still wrote in my journals. But now I use a laptop all the time and am amazed that I don't have neck problems.

This is Star Wars, if anything, Jaina will somehow 'ressurect' the old Jacen, who will revert to his philosophic and guilt driven self and will experience no consequences to his actions(taking into account Kyp's crimes and complete lack of punishment.)

Jacen is a prime example of what happens when Jedi go bad, I think he will have to be punished assmuming he lives though his dark phase, the rest of the galaxy probably wont stand for a sith getting off with a slap on the wrist and in the end Luke has to do what is best for the jedi as a whole, lest they do end up being hunted, I also agreee with leatherneck that the jedi should not separate themselves from the rest of the galaxy, perhaps if the old order had not done so the rest of the galaxy would have reacted in outrage when Palpentine exterminated them.

Huh. Not sure of what I think on that whole spearation thingie. Obviously, they can't have too much separation, but they can't go on getting kicked around, either. Someone needs to be decisive.
This dillema reminds me of the knights from the fuedal era: knights were often assigned to various lords. This worked nicely, because it was a position of honor, but often they worked for opposing lords. So then who did they represent when the lords fought one another. The Jedi are like this. They fight for peace and want to honor all people. So who do they fight for, when every one is fighting every one else. The obvious answer would be: the GA, of course. Then again, can they be expected to rally behind a Sith Lord? Surely not, but then who do they support? I am not decided on this, though I do think Luke's policy of Jedi not serving as figure heads is a good one.
In cases where good Jedi go bad, these good-gone-bad-Jedi are just screwed up mentally, I think. That's not to say they shouldn't be accountable for their actions, but it deosn't mean there is a fool-proof method for the Jedi Order. They just have to teach their younglings to gaurd themselves mentally against people like Palpatine and Vergere.
However, I have to say that, should Jacen live, I do expect him to have some kind of punishment. Luke wants him dead. The grandmaster wants him dead, no ifs, ands, or buts. If Jaina manages to redeem him (which I am sure she will), Luke is bound to find a fitting puishment. The man is EVIL, for the love of Yoda. The Jedi preach forgiveness, but every action has a consequence. Even Jacen knows that. Or knew that.
Stover had a cool novel. I don't see why it couldn't stay like that. A really philosophical, prophetic, cool novel.
But speaking of evil, how evil was Jacen in Fury (that's no spoiler; you guys had to no Jacen was going to evil---what is he, going to have a 360 degree turn around? I think not. That makes you dizzy)?
When he totally choked that guy (girl?)???? The illustration of that was particularly ingenious, unlike Anakin's my-wife-brought-my-killer-to-me-so-she-must-now-die. That was cheap. But Caedus there: wow. I was all OH MY GOSH! He is totally derranged. But the whole "there was only one way to restore the color back to normal"? Chilling.
Other than that, nothing much on Jacen. Lots of good for J/J. Tenel Ka rocked, as usual, but being annoyingly dutiful. So glad the Jedi helped her get Allana back. I loved that line:
"Such a beautiful child. And so familiar looking."
I was pretty much done there. That was hilarious. Han and Leia were cute with the whole grandparent thing. I wonder what they'll say when they give her bakc to Tenel Ka. "Oh yeah, here she is. Everything went as planned. Except...we KNOW." "Know what?" "We KNOW."
But Jacen is getting cockier and cockier. Jaina is taking him down. I can feel it.
