Lots of possibilities, I know, lol!
The info: During TPM, Palpatine says that the Old Republic stood for 1,000 years. Anyone who knows of Exar Kun or Naga Sadow or KOTOR knows the Old Republic existed for about 15,000 years, not 1,000. So what did Palps mean? Is there any pro-fic dealing with TPM -1,000 years? And in ROTS, Palps says the Sith once more rule the galaxy. What the hell does that mean?! Did the Sith rule the galaxy 1,000 years before TPM?
Is there any pro-fic and/or fan fic that deals with this time and the events surrounding it?
A straight answer would be best, links would be cool.
And I'm interested in writing something about that. Have a few ideas involving a few of my OCs involving a Sith takeover of the Republic. I would like to ask if anyone is interested in co-writing with me?

um, there is a pre-republic that was 25,000 years old, and an old republic 1,000 years old.

The Republic was reformed after the Battle of Ruusan into its current prequel incarnation, about a 1000 years before TPM. But the actual Republic itself existed 25'000 years before hand.
And there hasn't been much info on the Sith ruling over the galaxy. We can assume that KOTOR 2 and the war between the Jedi and the Sith before Ruusan could refer to that, but as far as I know there is no solid information about the Sith having dominion over the entire galaxy.
