I'm writing it in between my current story, another story I am rewriting and at least one other story. Very hard work to balance. 	It sounds interesting so far! Yes, this plot bunny as been done loads of time (for example, by me - "Change of Fate"), but EACH story is UNIQUE! I hope it goes well. Just let us know if you need some help - I bet all of us will be happy to help you with another time-travel story. We have so few of them on the boards! 	Thanks. I hope to actually finish this story.......though it may mean actually viewing one of the prequel movies for certain scenes that I might not remember (okay, its episode 2, that's all I'll say) and I need to think of fake names for Luke and Leia as well. Time Travel is one of my favorite type (Genre?) of stories. 	If Han eavesdropped to one of Anakin/Palpatine conversation, what action would he take first? I think I should point out that the conversations are seemingly innocent, with the exception of the one where Palpatine explicitly states that he is the Sith Lord. Otherwise it's mostly just Anakin airing his complaints about the Jedi to his mentor - and given Han's anti-authoritarian streak, he might even agree whole-heartedly with what Palpatine says. Anyway, as Juliet316 and Jedi_Liz said, it depends on which Han you're talking about. Pre-ANH, Han hasn't met Luke or Leia and has other things to worry about. Come to think of it, I don't think he finds out that Anakin = Vader = Luke&Leia's dad until after RotJ. But let's say he came from post-RotJ and knows who's related to who. And that he recognizes the two men.* (* Well, he might not. I mean, one look at post-Windu Palpatine is enough to make you forget his previous face. And Anakin doesn't always call Palpatine by name in his conversations with him.) My first thought is that he would try to assassinate Palpatine - the operative word being "try", of course. Most likely he'd be caught by Palpatine's bodyguards and interrogated. The worst case scenario would be Palpatine learning about future events, especially the Skywalker twins. Or more likely, they'd decide Han was a lunatic and lock him up somewhere, never to be seen again. If he went to the Jedi, well . . . who would believe him? The Jedi Council members might feel that he's telling the truth through some deus ex machina of the Force, but I doubt he'd find one before being intercepted by someone who thinks the Council doesn't have time for a conspiracy theorist. IMO, taking Anakin with him to the future is not an option - at least, not until Palpatine and the Empire are taken care of. And if they are taken care of, would he need to? Luke and Leia would have led entirely different lives due to Han's actions in the past. If Obi-Wan from TPM met Obi-Wan from ANH and heard his tale, what would he do? f) "Excuse me, sir, but are you feeling well?" edges away nervously from the madman But if TPM Obi believed ANH Obi, then I think the logical conclusion would be to a) have ANH Obi train Anakin and b) warn the Jedi Council about Palpatine's plans. Let's just say in a variation of a plot bunny Ish adopted and turned into a fantastic epic with what's looks to be an even more fantastic sequel, that Han had been sent to assinate Vader and/or Palpatine. Now I don't think very many people give Han enough credit for his intelligence. He had to have some above average level of intellegence to be admitted into the Imperial navy for fate's sake. Maybe if he overhears a conversation between Anakin and Palps, he starts putting things together. 	All right, new discussion for you all. There are many time travel stories out there, and many of them have many devoted readers. So... why do you read time travel stories? What is your favourite aspect of time travel fics? What draws you to them?

	There are many time travel stories out there, and many of them have many devoted readers. So... why do you read time travel stories? I don’t know, I guess it’s because of the questions surrounds Timetravel, like why were they sent back/forth in time in the first place (sometimes they know why and sometimes they don’t), why them (unless it’s like Luke and Leia going back in time to save Anakin from the dark side because that’s kind of obvious why it’s them, although, it would be fun to see like Han being sent back to save Anakin and so on), how will they feel for example in the past and how would the once there feel about them (like if they find out who they were right away or if they find out later), reactions? Thoughts? And so on, it’s all important and if you manage to do that in a good way then you’ll have a great timetravel fic, actually, every timetravel fic I’ve read is like that. What is your favourite aspect of time travel fics? I like it when everything isn’t to easy, like if they goes backward in time, save Anakin from the darkside and then they live happily ever after, it’s not a very fun story to read. CrazyAni’s “Change of Fate” is an excellent example of that, it’s also a great example of what I said for the first question, it’s an amazing fic. What draws you to them? I think that it’s a mix of both of the first two questions. 	I read time travel out of the hope that something will change and that some things will not. Let me illustrate: In the Pink 5 series, the writers pride themselves on having their character present in the situations of the movies and moving the plot forward, usually inadvertently, but not having it be something that will change the meaning of the scene. 	Why do you read time travel stories? Never ask me to pick apart why I love something. It gets messy. But seriously, I'm not really sure why I read time travel stories. In all honesty, I haven't lately. ducks I haven't had time. I guess I like them because they're different; they put characters in new situations (at least in comparison to canon) and it's always interesting to see how they handle it. The setup, by it's very essence, is ripe for angst ...or humor...or both. What is your favourite aspect of time travel fics? The fish out of water feeling that the time traveling character usually experiences. And it's neat when they run into people they never knew but are connected to. (Like Luke meeting his mother or Shmi, or even his father as a young man.) And what if they run into themselves?? What draws you to them? As I stated above, just all the unique situations the characters could potentially find themselves in. I love it when the main character learns a lesson by meeting people and experiencing life in another time, whether it be past or future. Once I got into fan fiction, I started reading various fics on fanfiction.net that had to do with time travel. I guess I read them for the tensions that are created between the characters who did the time traveling and the characters that meet them (in either the future or the past) once they figure it out where the time travelers are actually from. And I love reading about all the running around and hiding idenities that you get in fics where, for example, Leia and Luke are trying to hide their true idenities from Padme and Anakin. Also, they're unique -- as Nienna already said. They deal with something that will most likely never happen in the books and they add new, interesting situations that can be quite exciting to deal with. What is your favourite aspect of time travel fics? Having the time travelers meeting others they never knew and the experience of getting used to the differences the world had undergone. And also -- if there is a paradox where the characters run into themselves -- I LOVE that! It can be sooo funny sometimes. What draws you to them? Simply the fact that time travel is so different. And each story ends up being unique - even if its the same cliché of "Luke and Leia end up in prequel timeline to stop Anakin from becoming Vader". Every author has a unique plot idea that makes their story one of a kind. What is your favourite aspect of time travel fics? Favorite aspect? The possibility of changing time.....even if it results in a crazy situation in the old time line (that the travelers came from - whether its the Post-ROTJ time line or the AOTC timeline or the ROTS timeline that is changed). What draws you to them? Honestly not sure.
