Wow, ale. silly I'm lucky to decide what color eyes and hair my OC should have. tongue Oddly, I can come up with their personality quirks with far more ease. thinking I wonder what that says about me? I always knew that Sian would be a flirt, and somewhat cocky and conceited. batting He told me right away, making those attributes sound like virtues of course. grin

So your OCs "talk" to you Mama V?!?! raised_brow

It's okay, mine are usually gripping, "I would never say/do that!" or "Rewrite!" They tend to behave like pompous actors at times. tongue

It's almost like they don't exist.

I never really thought of my OCs as music aficionados - Well, except Max Scammer, Durmound, and maybe Spin Belkar. Now I'm tempted to put together iTunes playlists designated for each of them.

Max would prefer really loud, in-your-face rock - not my thing, but I will admit that it, in part, inspired this month's challenge entry. Actually, now that I think about it, Tenacious D or the Electric Six would be perfect for him. He's so rambunctious, self-centered, but fiendishly clever. Wolfmother's 'Joker and the Thief' would be his theme song. And he would download all of them illegally.

Yen Durmound, he's much more melancholy. I'd say that he'd like darker stuff that he can brood to. Lots of classical, but he might have some of The Postal Service stuffed back there. I'll have to come back to him; he's a very complex character, many-layered. Think of the saddest song you've ever heard, and that would be his theme song. The man's wrapped up in self-pity.

Murdak Kulik is really one of the core characters in my arsenal - making him very hard to define. He's equal parts Scammer's goofiness, at times, but he still carries Durmound's guilt. But Murdak is still a man of action, with no time for drawn-out ballads. Or does he? I'm seeing his theme song as the Crash Test Dummies' "Superman Song". But he'd keep a front of King Missile albums to avoid someone like Lyja thinking he's got actual depth.

Also, I have a question relating to the OC challenge - All the main and supporting characters are OCs, but I have a cameo starring a couple cannon characters. Will that still fly under the guidelines?

Absolutely! So long as the focus is on the OCs, and the plot is driven by OCs, canon characters can go ahead and pop into the story every now and then. happy

Being from Earth, Mobile, Alabama, and a Deadhead, Mary Jane Skyler would be listening to one of her many bootlegged copies of a Grateful Dead concert. In her mp3 now is Dick's Picks : Live at the Fillmore 1970. Dark Star, Turn On your Love Light, and The Other One all are 30 mins each!!

Here's a quick *bump* that comes with two reminders:

1. Be sure to support your fellow OC Revolutionaries and send in your nominations for the Before awards! grin

2. The challenge ends in about a week- so be sure to keep those fingers typing! tongue

Go OCs, go!

1. Ahaha, so was it someone here who nominated "To You I Bestow" for Beyond the Saga? "Fire Is" also made it. (this is a rhetorical question, ahem)

2. Gah, I'm leaving on a trip with my family and won't be back until the 7th. I have an idea typed up and don't know if there's going to be internet access at the hotel.

I've got a response for the challenge.
Hold Your Head High. Pre-TPM. It's connected to some things I wrote a while back, but stands well on its own.

Oh kriff, an entry!

From a show of hands, how many enjoy music that's not in english? Or basic, if you're in the GFFA.

To everyone entering the challenge, make sure you send your entries in a PM to the OCDatabaseSock as well. happy

Kecen, I'll listen to music that's in French or German because I'll have a slight chance of understanding it, LOL. "99 Luftballons" is on my personal playlist.

Thanks Thumper!

We don't like to have to search through posts to find entries, so please folks; make sure you PM the sock (broken links and all) and do not post the link in the thread. Trust me, it can be daunting, and someone always gets overlooked.

The complete list of entries will be posted later tonight.
