Actually, I hate to admit it, but yeah, I would say they have sometimes.
Like my OC, Loch, is a bigtime gambler, and I have caught myself suddenly being drawn to things with dice or cards on them because it reminds me of him.
I repeat his mantra of "It's not an issue," to myself when I'm feeling neurotic.
I have another one named Tiki, who's very sunny and bold, and I sort of call on his characteristics when I'm feeling shy.
So yes, apparantly, I'm nuts.

One of my first OCs, Vyyk Tharen. I used to practice his grin in the mirror.  I was trying to figure out if it was lopsided to the right or to the left, mine is to the left so naturally his turned out being to the right.
I also recal oqidaun once telling me that she shut off all the lights in her house and ran around blind-folded to try and capture the feeling of being blind and chased, for one of her stories.

My OC healers have inspired me too. Kaagi's gentle treatments of patients and healer Aaqu and his animal (in his diary).

I have OC "voices" in my head, but I think it's less that Remy and Jav are cracking wise in there and more that my split personalities are cracking wise on the page. No, no, I'm quite sane. Isn't that right, Tiny Pirate Jim Nabors? Ahoy to you too, friend.

My birthday is coming up on July 23rd. Do any of your characters have specific birthdays? Considering that around the galaxy, the calendar systems are different.
I think Elmira would be born on the 369th or day of the Yuuzhan Vong calendar I created, which would be in the last "month"...

Ahh... a topic I'm obsessed with! LOL. Well, I don't have Loch's actual birthday written down, but rather his astrological chart. (This is scary I know!)
He personifies a Scorpio--witty, loyal, sexy, obsessive, risk-taking, secretive, sensitive, sarcastic etc.
And his moon is in Aries. (I have a sun sign/moon sign book and I went and looked up profiles til I found one that fits him dead on.
I even have it mentioned by a fortune teller in my story, "Loch's Luck:"
Oh and after that rant...Happy Birthday Kecen!

Yeah, I have two with assigned birthdays. I'd like to do the rest but haven't gotten that far yet. Darin's Earth birthday is March 31, which is the day I rolled up the character and filled out the character sheet. He doesn't have many "stereotypical" Aries traits, though. I'm not sure yet if I want to translate March 31 as the "31st day of the 3rd month" or "the last day of the third month" into the Galactic Standard calendar. So it's either Selona 31 or Selona 35. The fun thing is that his homeworld also has a local calendar they sometimes use, so I can track three different ages for him: two in-character and one out-of-character. 
The only other character whose creation date I specifically remember is Chase. His is September 5, which would roughly translate into a birthday on Relona 5 in the Galactic Standard calendar.

I was filling out a questionnaire about my OC and I was actually stumped with the birthday question. I know how old they are but picking a date is hard because my story is an AU and doesn’t follow the Cannon timeline exactly. Dose anyone have any thoughts on how to pick one?
