I, too, wish I knew how to do that stuff.
It's my stepson's birthday, so we have to do birthday stuff today. But I will start posting covers up soon.
Pssst! Oh, by the way...new covers (of the previously naked fics) get bumped up to the first page!
Illustrations will not, but don't forget, we're always looking for those, too.

The cover is very pretty  , but the Archive doesn't allow images of actors/actresses outside of SW to be used (unless they're near-unrecognizable, like they're turned away or something) because non-SW actors/actresses didn't 'sign up for it,' so to speak, like Natalie Portman, Liam Neeson, etc. I remember this came up about someone using an image of Gillian Anderson, and that was the decision made. I wonder if that's ever been clarified anywhere on the actual archive, though.

Is it a famous person? She looked familiar, but I can't place her
It is a rule that copyrighted images of non-SW actors can't be used in covers to avoid any sort of problems that could legally arise. To get out of this, some people use free use images of amateur models for things like OCs.
In the case of the Gillian cover, I'm pretty sure the editors asked the artist to manip the image a bit to where the image was not immediately recognizable as that actor.

Yeah, that was my fic. If it'll help provide reference, I'll post the different covers:

Didn't take much tweaking - the cover artist just added a blur (or something like that...I dunno what Roo did, lol). Same thing could probably be done if Jessica Alba is deemed too recognizable.
