Great responses to the challenge, everyone. 
Sorry I haven't really been on this sock lately... I've been under the weather, and am just starting to feel better.

I was, too. Though it was kind of neat, since that was the one that had the least stories prominently featuring minor characters. It still has less than the Saga and Beyond the Saga, but at least it's no longer so empty.

I've updated the index once more with a story from my main account, Liberty's Choice. 
NEWS! Commander_DWH and G__Anakin will be taking over the index during the month of November, as I am participating in the NaNoWriMo, and will not be able to keep up with the index then.

And, to contribute to the list of minor characters we have to work with, I was reading the other day about the Hiromi. They're a species of bugs that actually sound really entertainingly cheeztastic. One of their defining features is that they love to cheer.
They're inherently cowardly, but like to talk big. And lunch comes immediately after victory.

CHALLENGE #2:
Create a story that centers on the Hiromi species. The main character still must be a minor character (any of the Hiromi characters mentioned in the article would suffice  ). Again, this is a friendly challenge. Just provide a link to this thread at the introduction of your story, and put "MLD challenge" in the subject line. Also link to your story in this thread. Submissions due anytime between now and October 31. Additional cookies if you make the story scary.

Cool, a challenge! And an entertaining one, at that! I'll see what I can do; I don't have much experience with Minor League-ers, but I'm totally giving this one a shot.
Also, I'll submit Dannl Faytonni to the list of Minor League characters to play with.

Up, up, and away! *pushes thread from the depths*
It's DWH, filling in for A_W, and my apologies for not kicking this thread sooner. I was unexpectedly co-opted by DRL, but no more! What we need here is something to talk about. So: here's some food for thought.
How can you take a minor character and turn them into the driving force in a story?
Do you focus in on a random neuroticism displayed on screen? Do you analyze their outfits and decide the personality accordingly? Do you randomly generate a character and just slap a name on it that's canonical? Discuss!
Also, a challenge, since the Hiromi seem to be sadly lacking in takers. This one's a bit more broad.
Pick your favourite minor character, and write a story about their bad day/week/month/whatever. Everyone has their off days, and some are more spectacular than others. What makes a day bad for this character? What does it take to ruin a perfectly lovely afternoon? This can be as serious or silly as you make it.
Here's hoping we can kick a bit of life back into this thread.

Thank you, DWH, for taking over for me. I'm back, sort of... I feel like I'm jet lagged for some reason! I still feel like I need to write 1,667 words today.  Great question and challenge!
I tend to think what the minor character may have been doing before the scene he/she was in, and what he/she thought during and right after, and what they did after they left the screne.
I'm glad you didn't put a timespan on this challenge. I have to catch up on my stories I left cliffhangers for right before doing the NaNoWriMo... not to mention actually finishing and editing that novel I started.  But, I will write something for the challenge eventually.

Well, it won't really be a story, but I found a neat way to reference to the Hiromi in my Chobits crossover. Will not be up for two weeks, though.
