I'll agree with you, there. The blurb on the DHC site says "not all in his party are who they seem to be" - which could be too obvious or there to throw us off.
Shoulda known all the warm fuzzies in 23 were the calm before the storm.
But that's why I love this series. Never gets dull for a second.

Azlyn is my Legacy version of Shel. She needs to get her hands off Cade and go away...
I will second that. (Of course, you know my feelings on Shel very well. )

Got the issue today! It and my favorite non-Star Wars series Usagi Yojimbo were both sold out last week. Well, they ordered a few extra copies of both. I love my comic store!
The preview for #24 looks great, as well.

That is why I praise and advocate the Pull List.
It's also why I put some change in the tip jar at my LCS, because they maintain my pull list and never disappoint me by not saving an issue back for me.
You should try it. It's win-win. Guaranteed sale for them, guaranteed book for you.

Pull lists rock my socks.
And I never thought I would say this, but I almost wish Legacy would slow down it's releases just a little. I feel like I don't even have time to absorb one issue before the next is out

It seems like DH is playing 'catch-up' so Vector will flow smoothly from one title to the next. I bet we'll see issues slow back down to once a month again soon.

Spoilers for #24
Bantha Rawk is actually Nat Skywalker, Kol Skywalker's older brother!
Azlyn Rae is an ex-Jedi apprentice, now an Imperial Knight reporting to Marasiah, Antares and Ganner, the hidden pursuers!
Looks like all the hype about Cade being the last Skywalker is a lot of bantha poodoo. And Bantha gives Cade the dressing down he richly deserves.

An interesting twist. At least he's not Luke like I dreaded.

**Issue 24 spoilers**
WOW! I'm going to be lazy and copy my comments from Lit, but....WOW!!
First, I have to say that this is one of most visually-stunning issues yet. Jan’s work is always gorgeous, but she completely outdid herself on this one.
- LOVED Bantha and family, and not just because he is Cade's Uncle in the actual, paternal way. (Which is pretty damn cool. ) Bantha, Droo & kits truly are the embodiment of what it means to be a family – meaning that it’s not just who you marry and have children with, but the people that you adopt and welcome into your home and accept as your own with or without true blood ties. Contrast Kol’s traditional nuclear family (husband, wife, baby) with the Rawk non-traditional family and the strength of the latter is a testament to Bantha’s character. He wasn’t the “perfect Skywalker” but he’s the one left standing with a loving family around him and the contrast between brothers does show, IMHO, that being the ideal Jedi isn’t everything in life. Kinda like Cade.
And I’m not saying anything bad about Kol. I love Kol and he, apparently, very much wanted to be a family man, but was perhaps too married to the Jedi order – to hear Morrigan’s side of it, anyway. Then again, this is Morrigan we’re talking about, lol.
- Favorite line: “Just how many different kinds of idiot can you possibly…!”
- Quick question: According to the Insider article, Skeeto is also adopted. Does that mean that Ahnah is Cade’s cousin?
- Nice flashback to Kol & Morrigan. Still a mystery for the most part, but a bit more history there.
- The holo of the massacre on Dac was very poignant as were the reactions – especially the mournful expression on Droo’s face and surprise when Micah and Skeeto realize that it’s Cade on the screen.
- More Cade & Blue romance. I loves it!
- More death sticks. I don’t loves it, but that’s my boy. (And after I had bragged on him so. Like a friend said: baby steps.)
- Holy Blue Milk, Batman: Ghosts Luke and Kol on the same page! That’s just freakin’ sweet! But WTH is Cade talking about Sith techniques for? Is he just trying to push buttons? (I somehow got this mental imagine that Luke and Kol will head to a Force Pub and beat their heads collectively against the bar now.)
I had to laugh at the ‘stick trip, though – staggering around, “happy, happy, happy.” Notice that he uses his ‘healing’ power on himself to purge the drugs, reminiscent of Maladi’s lab back in 15.
- Bantha pwns Azlyn. Heh.
- No comment on Cade and Azlyn. Although, give the give the girl points for taking a pretty rough beating and keeping her cool - and Cade points for chivalry…even if it was with red eyes. (Scary!Cade. Daaang.)
- LOL at Bantha not getting to practice Jedi mind tricks on the kids. I’m with Droo on that, really, but as a parent I can’t help but think how useful that would be. More LOLs at Syn volunteering to work with Morrigan again.
- Okay, so, getting to the end, even if Cade did backslide a bit, I’m optimistic that he’s decided not to run and realizes that he needs the help of friends and that he considers the Jedi to be allies. It remains to be seen if his motives are altruistic or just so he can get on with his life minus Krayt.
- And finally, we find out who Azlyn is allied with. Does this mean that the Sia/Antares/Ganner mission is to find Cade and Azlyn went in for reconnaissance? Or because they knew that she knew Cade and had something of a history with him as an apprentice, therefore he might be more inclined to trust her? Interesting that Draco’s first thought was that the Jedi temple could be trap. This oughta be good…
All that to say that I am completely blown away, yet again, by this series.

I just got #23. I'm in love again. After the LotF [TOS violation], I was seriously thinking of giving up on the EU. But this delivers - again and again. The talk between Blue and Cade was just wonderful. Loved how he didn't have a clue. Then he went and apologized in just the right way.
Great job, John and Jan!

Wasn't it awesome?! I bragged and bragged about Cade after 23 and then he turned around and made me eat my words in 24, but I'm still loving his journey. He's very much a WIP, lol.

Just read through #24 again, and I just have to say - this issue has a plot. And it's actually quite a good one, with lots of interesting developments. I really enjoyed reading it.
But Cade... he was smoking in this issue. His hawtness was evident in just about every panel. And I'm not usually the time to get all swoony fangirly either, especially over drawings. But damn!
