karebear - You ain't lyin!
I think my jaw dropped a little more with every page turn in 24. I am continually amazed at the pace with which they move the plot in this series and it's rock solid story telling. And, according to that recent Insider article, we haven't gotten to "the big twist" yet.
Hey, RebelGrrl - While researching Zeltros for an "Origins" challenge fic, I came across the Behind the Scenes on this Wook entry and all I could think of was that line in your sig about warm Hoojibs.

I hadn't seen that Danish translation they have under that one image with Hoojibs and Zeltrons. Thanks for pointing it out!
I'm pretty sure the PG nature of the Marvels wasn't meaning quite where my dirty mind flew for a moment, but Hoojibs are cuddly. I mean, c'mon. Telepathic bunnies!

We need more Hoojibs in fanfic. They're just too cute!

I loved 24! It had plot and character development and it was just so beautifully drawn, too. I even liked Cade being stupid with the deathsticks.
What? We haven't gotten to the big twist yet? As if his mom being Imperial wasn't enough?
Cool!

Y'know...it's not the most implausible idea I've heard.
Everybody got quiet after 25. It did end with kindof a hold-your-breath feeling, didn't it?
I finally finished my fic for the "Origins" challenge: Party Girl.
Guess y'all can figure out who it's about.

I think it's because the word "sex" isn't in the heading. At least, that's the reason I believe there's so much action on the Cade SKywalker fan club thread in the EU Community board. Sex sells.
Anyhow, I recollect something that you mentioned about issue 25, regarding Cade's alteration of the Sith tattoos he'd gotten while as a "guest" of the Sith on Coruscant. It's possible that he does it for the same reason he altered the Bloody Bones tattoo he'd gotten from Rav as an apprentice - to make it his own. But I can't help but think that, given the timing, it's because he doesn't want awkward questions asked by the Jedi about why he was at the Sith Temple in the first place. If they knew he'd sold out another Jedi, it's unlikely that they'd even consider his proposal, since it indicates what lengths he'd go to achieve his ends. IMO, it makes Cade look like a hypocrite in condemning Gar Stazi for the body count at Mon Calamari.
It seems that Bantha/Nat is the only one who knows the whole truth about Cade's mission to Coruscant, although there's a chance that K'Krukh, Wolf and Shado might have suspicions. Wonder if he'll tell the Jedi Council about it. For that matter, I have to wonder why he brought along Jeriah Syn, knowing about his hatred of Jedi. If the Imperial Knights don't somehow betray the Hidden Temple's location, there's a chance Syn might do so.
Yep, #25 sure is a bated-breath issue. John and [b]Jan{/b] sure do like giving us breathing problems, don't they?

Well, since I haven't gotten 25 yet, I've not much to say. The last couple of issues were wonderful for both the plotting and the drawing.

Musing - Well we could put "sex" in the title here, but I don't think it would have the same effect.
But yeah, about the Sith tattoo - Cade has made it clear that he plans to be his "own man" so I think it's entirely appropriate that he would change the tattoo so as to not be associated with Sith. (I also wonder if it might have been symbolic/cathartic for Deliah to be the one to make the alteration if Talon had been the one to put the Sith tat there in the first place. I dunno. Just guessing.)
I don't think questions from the Jedi about why Cade was in the Sith Temple would be too awkward, though, considering he was there to try and rescue Hosk.
Jariah's in a bad spot, that's for sure. According to the story, he went willingly with Cade to the Jedi Temple, but I'd bet money he didn't expect to run into the one who had killed his father. Things could get ugly...

Or it could be just that Deliah wants to put her own tattoo on Cade to advertise that he belongs to her. I mean, look at the way she’s been behaving since #24. Even Bantha/Nat comments on it.
The more Deliah acts like a jealous, possessive human with an extreme case of sunburn, the less I like her. And yeah, I'm one of those who thinks she's "shallow." And at this point in time, she is. All that really defines her now is her fixation on Cade, and it's more pronounced in the way she's been draping herself all over him in the more recent issues. It reminds me of the stereotypical action hero poster boy with the accessory babe hanging onto him.
When Deliah’s with Cade, she seems so unnatural and too much like a groupie. I mean, in the preview for #26, she essentially tells him he’s being an idiot and then says she’ll be stupid along with him! “True blue” might be her nature and her name, but come on. Without her aptitude with mechanical stuff, she’d look really brainless. The only time that Deliah acts like her own person is when she decides to hang out with Tobias Sun in the Jedi Temple instead of waiting around for Cade.
I hope some back story to Deliah (good on you for working on that, Jedi Trace !) comes up soon that explains her extreme loyalty to Cade and maybe put some non-Cade-related quirks into her character, like a phobia or something. In terms of the current plotline, she appears to exist mostly for showing a more human side to Cade, who’s still way too self-centered. It almost makes me believe that the reason Cade loves Deliah is because she agrees that he's the center of the galaxy.

Well, I pretty much disagree with everything you just said , but it's a fair assessment, based on what is presented in text - I just see the character in a different light.
The more Deliah acts like a jealous, possessive human with an extreme case of sunburn, the less I like her.
To me, she's actually starting to act MORE Zeltron-ish. I recently read through my late brother's SW Marvel comics and there were several issues where I thought Dani (Zeltron female) was going to have to be surgically removed from Luke, and they weren't even dating, LOL. (Can't blame her, though. I'd be draped all over Luke like a cheap suit, too. )
Deliah may be crazy about Cade, but notice that she has never made the same profession of love that he made to her. And she'll certainly argue with him when she thinks he's wrong.
Yes, Cade is self-centered, but if he was perfect, he'd be boring.
I will definitely agree that there has been a change in the Cade/Deliah dynamic since the Claws of the Dragon arc. I don't know if it's because we only really saw them together in Broken in a flirtatious/casual setting and then they were apart for the next 15 issues, or if their relationship became more serious once they got back together.
I hope some back story to Deliah (good on you for working on that, Jedi Trace!)
Thank you! It was a lot of fun.

I figure that their relationship changed so much because they were apart for so long. In that time, both of them realized what it would mean to lose one another, and there were a few near-death experiences on top of that. I think that they both pretty much hit bottom in different ways during that time (Deliah mostly off-screen, but I'm assuming she was hit pretty hard by Cade's not being there, and also possibly a Sith). So when they did reunite, it's hard to blame either one of them for being a little clingy. I actually like Cade and Deliah as a couple better now. Not that their relationship is perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a work in progress, and I think they've taken an important step.

I have a theory that the Force drives Zeltrons wild. The more powerful and in-tune the Jedi (not Sith!), the more Zeltrons flock to him/her/it. Sith and Dark Jedi seem to have an opposite affect on Zeltron sensibilities.
It explains how Luke and Leia both get swarmed by Zeltrons at every opportunity, but Han and Lando don't quite get the same entourage.
Hey, maybe Zeltrons are manifestations of the Living Force...

I don't know why I haven't taken to Deliah, because she has many of the same traits as Khaleen did. She is obviously a talented mechanic but I do agree that her jealousy over any girl who crosses Cade's path whether they are into him or not is getting boring and annoying.
Readig back issues when Deliah suggesed they bunk together and Cade agreed but then told her to shut up was very mean, but they seem to have worked it out. I like Tobias but I don't think he is a bad boy and Deliah seems to like bad boys. I don't think Cade would see Tobias as much of a threat. I too would like to see Deliah become more independent as well.
