Uh oh. I think I'm in trouble.  My bird has started to chase me down. Usually we keep him on a big stand in the living room and he can leave it if he's so inclined. Apparently, he's so inclined. Now when he knows I'm sitting down to read he climbs down and walks across the room to me, pulls himself up on the couch (threatening the German Shepherd with his beak if she gets too close) and settles himself on the arm of the couch beside me. Paco likes attention, which is typical of a macaw, but really...he can FIND me now!! 
EDIT: Seems like becoming an aunt is in the air! I'm due for a new niece or nephew somewhere around December 7th. Pearl Harbor Day... How appropriate given my nephew's (the daddy-to-be) behavior as he was growing up.

No, Adam was sneaky and destructive. He still is. But now he's Homeland Security, a fact that keeps me awake at night. In a few months, he'll be with the Department of Energy - guarding NUCLEAR stuff.
