Dare i ask who Ben Barnes is, RebelGrrl?
Darn me and my lack of pop culture knowledge.

He's the yummy guy that plays Prince Caspian. British theater actor. I may be wrong, but I think this might be his first time in the US cinema.

My older sis is married and my twin is in a quite long-term relationship, but no little nieces/nephews, just various pets
I did see my older sis and her husband along with some of the rest of my family tonight, though, for a pre-graduation dinner, and I'll see her tomorrow after I walk...

Just wanted to say hello. I'm not much of a writer myself, but I do love to read - especially stories involving KOTOR-era, the Sith, Mandolorians, the criminal/seedier side of the galaxy, and yes clone troopers/ARCs I'm a bit shy on commenting and still getting my feet wet on the forums, but I did want to say hi in case you see me around!

The first (LLW) and last books (The Last Battle) are the heaviest in terms of the undercurrent of Christian theology. It can make them a little unpalpable to some because they may come off as preachy. Other people love them for just that aspect. To each their own! I've always enjoyed the stories at face value.
I'm looking forward to "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" because Prince Caspian appears in that one, too!

DarthIshtar posted: I saw Prince Caspian last night and am still smiling from it.
Shortly after, JadeSolo posted: I just came back from an AWESOME Cubs game (we won, 7-4, Soriano homered his first two times at bat!). Plus, my legal writing TA was sitting behind me with a couple of friends. I love seeing "elders" out in public having a good time. Makes them seem so much more human.
In reply, RK_Striker_JK_5 posted: Sounds like a good movie, Ish.
His permaban takes effect later tonight.

Ah, garage sales. They're popping up with a giant frequency these days.
My mom got a lovely set of clothes that fit her for about $0.50 each. Being a plus-sized woman, that's a really good thing, especially with the way the clothes look.
I got a load of comics, even though the owner kind of ticked me off. I had already paid him the $20 for 24 comics when he said he wanted to go through them. Since he had been counting the comics, he had them in his hand. He then pulled two comics out, saying that he would like to sell them along with the others in the miniseries as a set. Stunned, I let him do it and accepted the $4 he said that he was deducting from our bill. He said it was a deduction, but since money had already changed hands, I say he bought them back... Thing is, I had gone there the day before and had spent $15 worth of comics. Guy's lucky there wasn't a big scene.

Oh, wow, I would have been hot under the collar. The guy should have gone through and organized things before he put them out to sell. Anything he wanted to sell as a set should have already been bundled together as such.
I agree that it wasn't worth making a scene, but his actions lacked class and good faith.

He almost did the same thing the day before with the issue that Captain America was killed in. I didn't have that cover of the issue and had in my To Buy pile. Since it is a somewhat pricey comic and I didn't purchase it yet, I didn't mind, then.
