I totally got rained out at the beach, but we went anyways. Silly south-western Ontario weather, it keeps changing on us!
Awww, that's no fun.
It's raining and thundering here now, too. I kind of suspected it would, because my laptop battery was too low to make it through the whole Saga ceremony and I do not plug my computer in if there's any lightning at all around. Luckily, I managed to charge my battery enough before the weather really started that I should be able to stick around through the rest of the ceremony.

Well, se, there's kind of an inconsistency where I live. We were at the mall, which is farther away from the lake where I live, and my sister and I were like "It's hot. Let's go swimming at the lake!" So, once we got back home we were like, "Oh, now it's cold. Oh well, let's go anyway." And then it started raining on us, even though it was perfectly sunny at the mall. 
We just had a thunder storm and my sister, mom and I played scrabble. My sister kicked my butt royally.

LOL, I'm at my parents' for the weekend and went to church with them today. There is this woman whom I idolize named Mae who basically is one of those perfect people you'd hate if they weren't so nice. Well, I was walking back from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Sunday broadcast and ran into her leaving the apartment building. She hugged me, asked me how I was doing and then just gushed "Oh, Kathryn, you look lovely, so beautiful and slenderized." Me and my mom had a good hard laugh about how it sounded like "tenderized" so it was like I was a piece of meat on a Foreman grill.

 Slenderized. That's a new one to me.
My mom, brother, and I spent hours yesterday assembling my brother's new bed. The directions were terrible, and the stupid thing was plain difficult to work with. I have to say the two of them were lucky I was there, because they needed muscle.
We always argue about who has the most arm strength, and I proved my victory while helping my brother carry the box his new desk was stuffed in. I may be shorter than him now, but that doesn't mean I'm weaker.

Wow, that's hard. My parents once assembled a bed in the middle of my bedroom while I was asleep on Christmas Eve. All three of us girls were in one really long bedroom in our first house in Massachusetts and my parents had been putting me on a fold-out cot for six months. They decided to give me a real bed for Christmas, but had to smuggle it in. I woke up when they were moving me from the cot to the bed and asked who was there. I heard "Shh, Kaki. It's Santa" and then "Shut up, Richard." Kind of ruined my perceptions of Santa, but I woke up in the sleigh bed that I still have.

Hi all. Last day of the holidays for me, then its back to school tomorrow morning for my last term of school EVER! 
Just thought I should let you all know that a new level of Procrastination has been reached. It took me a week and a half, and a lot of long nights, but I browsed the Classic FanFic Boards COVER to COVER. Back to front. Read a lot of good old bells there, and it was a lot of fun! Bring on the Beyond Board! (Saga is a bit dauntingly long!)

We've only taken about 150 pictures since she arrived Thursday night... 
Seriously, she's TOO cute. Even the nurses said she was one of the prettiest babies they had ever seen. And as one told me, "I wouldn't mention her cuteness at all if it wasn't remarkable!" So yeah, we're in love with her. Would have been no matter what, but her stunning cuteness factor doesn't hurt!
She gets to go home today, the bilirubin levels are finally low enough for her to be discharged. I'm so excited.  My son is going home with them to help out for a week or so. He's getting the hang of things.
