AND OUR MOST OUTRAGEOUS DARE PRIZE GOES TO: BaronCoop Who issued the following outrageous dare: Write a story with a character (supporting or main as long as he/she is in every scene) who only speaks in song titles or lyrics from the Beatles or Beach Boys. Involve the entire starting offensive line, by name, of the 1992 Green Bay Packers at one point or another. At least once mention a conspiracy theory about Jedi. Finally, your story cannot involve anyone under the age of 80, but must include a fight scene. BaronCoop, start thinking about how you’d like to torture the mods! Author: BaronCoop Title: Pink Flamingoes Dare: Your dare is to write a story with the above title and including all of the below elements in the order listed. -A character says, "I've got a (very) good feeling about this." -A character steps in some sticky substance, which proves to be a hindrance later on in the story. -The story must include three lines from the song "Still Alive" from The Orange Box Soundtrack. (Why? Because I'm listening to it right now. Here's a link.) -The protagonist's weapon refuses to function at a critical moment. -A character says, "I've got a (very) bad feeling about this." Must also include the words: (Note: required words are written in bold) - anomalous - bobbles - quango - jiggerypokery Author: RX_Sith Title: Epistles of the Force Dare: To write something about the origin of the Jedi, as in, going back as far as the first "Force Sensitive" being. How they came to this knowledge, and dealt with their new powers. Author: Quigonjecca Title: Come to us now, our dear pet Dare: 1. The story will explain how and why Cronal fathered Sariss. 2. The story will explain why Cronal and the other Dark Side Prophets kept her origins from Sariss. 3. Your story will be made up out of sentences of one of the following types: It will either be made up of words that start with a capital letter (names, cities and such the like. Of course, the first word can be anything as it is always capitalized.), or consist of 13 words, or number precisely 31 letters, not counting whitespace, numbers or interpunction. 4. Author: JediNemesis Title: One Last Time Dare: I know that Labyrinth of Evil gave us the reason that Obi-Wan said that Cato Nemoidia didn't count...but when Anakin says that he's saved Obi-Wan's neck however many times. I dare you to write a fic about one of the other times. They can be in any sticky situation you would like but Obi-Wan has to be in peril and Anakin has to save him. Seems innocent enough BUT, You must include the following words: intransigent, intractable, intelligentsia, intemperate, intermediary, intestate. And must include the following phrases: "I hate it when he does that." "I have a bad feeling about this." "I thought they smelled bad on the outside." and "You don't want to sell me death sticks." Author: Golden_Jedi Title: Prancing Bantha Blues Dare: While on Dagobah, Yoda opens a swamp grill diner in order to keep busy. The diner becomes a Galaxy wide success. Write a story where a critic from the Imperial press arrives to review the diner. This can be serious or downright silly as you would like it to be. Extra kudos will go if Yoda kills the critic (accidentaly or on purpose) Author: Commander-DWH Title: It Always Rains on Dxun Dare: A fic around Gollum's song from the Two Towers. can be a songfic and must include the words. Author: The Musical Jedi Title: Certain Expectations Dare: Grobbolobba the Hutt wants to become a Jedi. Write a story detailing some of the trials and tribulations he experiences during his new life at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Must include: - A scene where Grobbolobba and a female Twi'lek Jedi agonize over their inability to consummate their love due to the constraints of Jedi life. - An Ewok pontificating on the virtues of rustic, primitivist life on Endor as opposed to world-spanning Coruscanti urban civilization. - The line, "Now that's what I call Hutt Ease!" - The appearance of a golden bikini. - The words: gastropod, brackish and disproportionableness Author: BigFatty Title: What You Leave Behind Dare: Padmé, Mara, and Han, over a game of sabacc, talk about the woes and antics of willingly marrying into the Skywalker family and what things were/are like as a result. It must be set in Beyond and cannot be AU. The story must have equal parts of humor and serious discussion. Han cannot win the game of sabacc. No other members of the Skywalker/Solo family can make an actual, physical appearance. Bastila Shan, Myn Donos, and a random Togorian must make an appearance in some way in the fic. Someone must put out a fire. Someone else must sing karaoke, out of key/pitch, against their will. Balloons and a stuffed bantha toy must be given as gifts. Author: lazykbys Title: Behind the Scenes Dare: The fic I am daring someone to write must include: 1) An explanation for how Darth Malak lost his jaw that does not involve a lightsaber or Revan. 2) The words haberdashery, semicolon, callipygian, shindig, and conical. 3) At some point, Ewoks must dance in the twilight. 4) There must be at least one OC, and this OC must overcome an irrational fear. 5) Someone must bake a dessert using guunga fruit 6) Someone must mix metaphors. 7) An unusual problem with the Ebon Hawk 8) Interior design must be mentioned. 9) A hidden talent must be revealed 10) T3-M4 saves the day. Author: cdmcc Title: On Times Such As These Dare: Write a vig where Count Dooku has to decide whether to stay as Sidious' apprentice, or try to seize the mantle of Dark Lord for himself. This introspection should take place during his fight with Yoda in AotC. It must be 2,376 words long (I will be counting). You must use the words: veritable, feasible, curmudgeon & hyperbole. Dooku must also come up with at least two jokes about Anakin losing one of his arms in their fight. Dooku must also mention Qui-Gon in some humorous way at least once. Author: Dana-Skywalker Title: Second Chances Dare: Jag and Tahiri need to be in a compromising position (whether they're an item or not or it's just a big misunderstanding is entirely up to the writer), and have Jaina walk in on them and have a spike of jealousy at what she sees. Also include these lyrics (in some form or other) from the Garbage song, Cherry Lips: - With your cherry lips and golden curls... -You bought yourself a second chance... Author: moosemousse Title: Der Kuchen Dare: Write a vignette of two people conspiring. Their intentions cannot be clear until the very end and none of their dialogue can be in Basic/English. It has to be conveyed by situation or body language and they have to come to an agreement by the end of the fic. Author: Darth Mu/lightsaber123 Title: Tah'erai Dare: Anakin Solo, Tahiri Veila, Leia Solo, and an incriminating undergarment. Author: RK_Striker_JK_5 Title: Walking Around in Circles Dare: Write about Jacen visiting one of the cultures he traveled to during his five-year trip after NJO and describe the new Force trick he picked up there. Author: mavjade Title: If It Works Dare: Write a romantic comedy with a love triangle between Ghent, Mara Jade, and Wes Janson. Include the phrases “Holy force floppin' Ewoks!”, “It's not my fault”, and “All the people in the universe and I'm stuck with you.” DO NOT use the words smile, red, or green. Author: Juliet316 Title: Occupational Hazzards Dare: George Lucas has confessed to us that for a time he had considered making the people of Tatooine midgets. An interesting thought, eh? Maybe they would have been kind of like Hobbits. There are certainly Little People in the series: the Jawas, the Ewoks. But how much more different would the Star Wars series have been if the stars were Little People? That would have included Anakin Skywalker. He was certainly a resident of Tatooine. How much less…or more…frightening would a midget Darth Vader have been? What about Padmé—would she have been a midget too, perhaps a resident of Tatooine herself? And as for Leia and Luke—how much more ridiculous would Leia look with those huge buns on her head? Would Han still fall in love with her? Would Han still have been a normal-sized man? What would happen to Luke? With such a short stature, would he still be allowed into an X-wing to blow up the Death Star? Perhaps he would be provided with a down-scaled X-wing to meet his shorter standards. I dare you to write at least one scene from A New Hope, starring Little People. You must include: -An average-sized Han, Ben Kenobi and Chewbacca -A down-sized Darth Vader, Luke and Leia. -Oh, and one more thing: it can’t be ‘humor’. Author: Bri_Windstar Title: Twitterpated In A Minor Dare: Your challenge is to write a Luke and Mara romance where Mara is afflicted by a mysterious illness that every time she speaks she sings. To make it even more fun, the things she sings must come from the four songs below (all of which are musicals). You must use at least one line from three of the songs, and at least 4 lines from one of them . (Example: one line from 1776, one line from Company, one line from Hair and four lines from Camelot.
