Bout the best I could come up with. Let me knwo what you think.
Name: Tarim Maltir
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Species: Human
Homeworld: Corellia
Family: His parents still live on Corellia. He is the youngest of four children. His Two older brothers and older sister are all happily married with families on Corellia. He has an ex-wife floating around somewhere in the galaxy.
Height: 5’ 10”
Weight: 173 lbs
Hair: Dirty blond, medium-to-short length, unkempt most of the time
Eyes: Gray
Build: Thin and wiry. He’s incredibly nimble, and stronger than he looks.
Force Sensitivity: Has the potential, but is untrained in it. Has done little to develop it.
Jedi Class: If he pursues it, Sentinel
Main weapons: Blaster pistol and a vibro-dagger
Clothing: Tarim’s dress is nothing fancy. He wears a plain white shirt—longsleeve and loose fitting—brown pants, black boots, a black belt and generally a black jacket over his shirt. His clothes generally have dirt, grease, and oil stains on them, though he does try to keep his clothing clean when they need to be.
Personality: Tarim is very easy going. He is bright, friendly, and open. However, his smile hides a deep sense of insecurity. While he is perhaps proud of what he has accomplished, he always fears that other will not approve of who he is. So, he is constantly trying to prove himself, and will get himself into trouble on occasion for doing this. Throughout the years, he has been able to learn how to hide this insecurity, though it nags at him inside very often.
Bio:
Tarim was born on Corellia, the son of a skilled mechanic. His childhood—while a good and healthy one—was rough on him. The Jedi had come to his parents while he was young, looking to take Tarim for training. However, this was not in Tarim’s plans for his future. He soon managed to weasel out of it, and remained with his parents.
Tarim was never particularly well liked in school. He was a good student, but he was rather shy and reclusive. He was often made fun of. He began to follow in his father’s footsteps as a mechanic. He found that the only time that he didn’t feel horrible about himself was when he was fixing one machine or another.
At the age of sixteen, Tarim had had enough of Corellia for a lifetime. He had few friends, and little future. Much to his family’s disapproval, Tarim arranged passage to Coruscant, paying his way by signing on as the ship’s mechanic for the voyage. He realized that the ship was a little suspicious, but it was not until they were well on their way to Coruscant that he realized that the ship was a pirate vessel.
When they arrived at Coruscant, the captain was so impressed with Tarim’s mechanical skill that he offered him a permanent position on the ship. Tarim, having no alternative options to choose from, accepted. The captain took Tarim under his wing. Tarim learned all the finer points of combat and piracy. Soon, he was an amazing shot with pistols and was a skilled fighter close range with his dagger. However, Tarim was never able to pilot well. He could fly a ship, but…..
When he was twenty, Tarim decide to part ways with the pirates. He felt that his destiny was elsewhere. He thanked the captain, and then slipped away. He was been wandering the galaxy, paying his way with his new found charm and mechanical skills. During this time, he was approached by several Jedi who were interested in incorporating him into the order. Tarim had no desire to. He had no animosity towards the Jedi, but he would rather have nothing to do with them.

SabyneAmberle posted: Sounds like Murphy's Law of Story Planning has been kicking in for most of us. No worries, I'm still standing by waiting for things to get rolling again.
On the whole romances thing, what about having a few unrequited loves tossed in there as well? F'rinstance, when I use Sabyne in my writings, she has a crush (of sorts) on Carth that goes from there but ultimately leaves her heartbroken. Maybe we could toss in a few instances of romantic angst. (Note that this was the first example that came to my mind of this. I'm not actually suggesting using this in the story unless everyone agrees it's a good thing.)
We can drop hints, I agree.
Chukles, good character.
That's it, we have our party...except for Zeth. You should choose which of your characters you want in the story.

In that case, I'll go with the Bothan Saiga Bura'ki. Much better fit with the party I think.

I think I mostly like Tarim... just one thing made me . He's 23 and already has an ex-wife? How young was he when he got married? I mean... I'm 23, and I know many people my own age, and most of them haven't even gotten married once, much less been married long enough to be divorced.
Other than that, I see good character potential.

lol. Easy to explain. Tarim got tired of wandering at one point. He had lived his life relatively alone, and a woman seemed interested in him. He was... oh.... 21, I think. So, he thought he fell in love. This woman told him how great he was and how much she loved him for him.... so he got married. After several months of destitute living, the marriage collapsed and they divorced, and Tarim went along his marry way (Ha ha! Get it? ) I figured that this could give a great conversation path for the lead and him to have sometime, or something. What I had in mind was that he rushed it, it failed, and it presented some depth to be explored at a later date.

Okay, that's sensible. Random ex-wife was just, well... random.

lol. Indeed they do.
And, besides, they can run into her at some point, and we can have a lot of fun with that. Heck, make her one of the crew members we pick up, and we'll have LOADS of fun with that.

Well here it is; we are ready to begin writing.
I have lost many nights a sleep over this...just kidding.
I did however had to try my best to figure out a fair way to do this.
As much as I would like to, I can't award which planet to write to whoever wants it, seeing that three people could want Coruscant and no one wanting Sleheyron (just an example, hold your blasters for a moment).
Therefore, this is how the process will work, provided of course you agree. Yeah, that's right, I'm not completely heartless. If anyone perceives faults with this, please, by all means, voice that. I will make adjustments as neccesary (or a complete overhaul if I face a team mutiny).
For starters, the planets will be assigned randomly, by a neutral third party, using a random number generator).
Once I receive the results, I'll pm you the following:
-Your planet
-The plantary outline and some stuff to keep in mind.
The writing of planets will take place in the order they've been specified in. The outline I give you will outline the main overall quest (it's a stripped down one trust me; for example I'll say "There is a fuel crisis on Sleheyron, and chances are the True Sith our behind it. This is the main quest of the party") and where things should end up (mainly, the status quo of the party and the game plot). It's not to meant to constrict your creativity. What you choose to do to follow that outline and resolve it our completely up to you.
You must also include side-quests. Except for one I give you, you are free to add as many as nine to your planet. After all, part of the fun of KOTOR 1 and 2 was going after all those quests and solving them in ways you saw fit.
As for the amount of planets, there are 8, 7 if you don't count the second visit to Coruscant. Unfortunately, neither Galaxies or Kaleb22 responded to me soon enough, and I've been forced to count them out as writers. If they show up, they'll be allowed to be creative consultants, but it;s too late for them to write. I'm truly sorry about this.
To address the number of planets again, I am adding a planet. While I am aware of the implications of such upon the plot length, I did this because the final world will be split up among us (this is also to prevent someone with getting stuck with Corsucant revisited, as this will be a short planet; also, someone will have basically 1 1/2 planets). How that shall happen is something I will hammer out, but the reason I am doing this is simple: I want each of us to get a chance to resolve our particular loose ends and provide closure to our created party members.
I STRONGLY advise that you be careful about how soon you write your planet if its a later one. The reason being is that each planet's story will be posted in order, and although there will be gaps in between, we want to make sure your story fits in with the updated plot. For example, you get Manaan, write it, but forget to include the latest plot development that Serien Cane grew a third ear. Hence you look like a goofball. I'm not forbidding you to write ahead of time, but you must be aware that if a drastic change is to occur, you may have to rework alot of your story. I recommend brainstorming, outlining what you'll do, coming up with sidequests, etc. and writing scenes here or there. Again though, you are free to write your planet ahead of time, but beware of the dangers.
Some final notes:
-Your party member will appear on the planet you are assigned. This will require some reworking of when they'll join the story, but thats ok. For example, you get Ithor, that's when your created party member appears.
-You will get to name your True Sith on your planet. For example I get Manaan and chose to call the True Sith there Darth Generic. Remember, it must have Darth in the name.
-Keep in mind the themes and spirit of the first two KOTOR's. For example, the party almost never figures everything out themselves; usually intended quarry (in this case, the True Sith) reveal how they manipulated the crisis, problem, etc. on said planet.
-Keep in mind Khaylia's and other character's back stories.
-Everyone is free to suggest what planet I should add.

I think my only question would be regarding our own preferences for our characters. For instance, if someone wanted to give their character more time to develop, but they were chosen to appear on the last planet visited, could there be an option to change and be moved to an earlier planet? Or could something be worked out with the storyline to where there could be inter-planetary sidequests and other storyline issues to extend the plot so that most (if not all) characterization issues are fleshed out and resolved?
It's a pretty minor thing, but I think it should be taken into consideration.

Alderaan sounds cool, provided everyone agrees.
Sabyne, I am also adding another planet for the reason you have described; I'm going to give everyone's character's fair shots to develop; however, anyone is free to exchnage planets once assigned.

Sorry if this post constitues bumping.
I've been away for a long time, as things in real-life have been...chaotic to say the least. I had asked DWH to take over until I came back (and I originally thought because of the sheer chaos of my life it wouldn't happen).
Well, here I am.
