I think it would be very nice, as I write in other fandoms, namely Transformers but attempt to write other stuff, too. However, I also think that it is a good idea to allow original stuff in that forum, unless there's enough original fiction written by the SW fanfic authors to constitute its own forum.
I thought that we weren't allowed to post original stuff on here. Because of how easy it would be for someone to take your original fiction and put their own name at the top. I could be wrong...

1) Crossovers involving SW will stay in the SW Fan Fic forums. Anything without SW, crossover or no, will go in the new forum. You get to post in one forum only.
2) Because of concerns over plagiarism, copyrights, and all that good stuff, we're not allowing original fiction (except in the SFFBC contests).
Don't worry - you'll have a giganamous FAQ that will give you every dirty detail.

Ok, I for one look forward to this. I have a fanfic based on my Vampire: The Masquerade Tabletop game and am, like all writers, looking for a greater readership that can help me improve my writing! Now, I've started posting a bit of that fic on a Word of Darkness fansite, so from a copyright perspective, I'm thinking that what's all right there should be all right here. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
What could be a concern is obviously if a scene where the protagonist is feeding would be considered sexually explicit. Do I have to censor the work?
Which brings me to the old issue of SSRs being banned.
In principle, it is something I take strong exception to (not that what I say makes any difference, being a total n00b and all). As I have several homosexual friends, I experience the idea that they should not be allowed to read fan fic romances they can recognize themselves as insulting. On a philosophical level it seems highly questionable to me to enforce what amounts to a form of discrimination. I can only hope that legislation will be passed that will outlaws such practice.
On the practical level, as a writer of a vampire fan-fiction, the feeding practices of my protagnists might be construed as slash, seeing as vampires might be less particular about things like gender than what Victorian age sexual morals could stand ;P. I guess I'll just have to censor my texts and put small signs in there saying "I had to censor this because..." ;P.
Oh, well, I'm still looking forward to the new forum, though! =D

On homosexuality, the owners are the only ones whose opinions count; it's not you being new.
And yes, you will need to leave explicit sex out. If you have a question about whether something crosses the suxual, homosexual, etc. line, you can PM JadeSolo, Miana Kenobi, or I.
