I've never really liked Andromeda but one title has me completely hooked. I like this second Challenge better than the first.

You know, all those titles gave me so many plot bunnies, but I can't decide which to write! It's to hard to choose!  I think this one is gonna take me a bit longer than last time.

I've always Andromeda, it's kinda of a sill little sci-fi show  , but it was enjoyable (  or maybe I just thought they guy who played the mechanic Harper was cute ). I was looking for a good show when I though of this challenge, but all of the shows had really Earthy titles and were not very inspiring. Then I saw a commercial for an Andromeda rerun and I though why not! Low and behold there were some pretty inspiring titles there!

Apparently, my entire job description can be boiled down to this... CO2 + H2O <--> H2CO3 <--> HCO3 + H Then why have I been in school so long??   Hoping for baby Isabella. May you be stong and fight hard!

I'm fairly sure I already saw a couple of those titles as ff titles here. Though I'm not entirely certain.

I went through 3 different titles/half baked plot bunnies before deciding on one. The last one was much easier for me! Too many ideas for this one.

I decided on a title. I came up with a story idea. I tweaked it until I liked what I had.
I now have a rabid plot bunny that has nothing to do with the title.
*sigh*
Back to the drawing board, I guess.

Well, I have the plotline for mine all in my head, and have written some of it... the trouble is keeping it in the 1000 word limit! This is definitely going to be one story that will be expanded because it has too much potential to be a one-shot. Though to my delight, I did get a request for the first one to be extended.

I'm glad you all are having fun with this prompt!! They could get harder as we go, so enjoy it now! 
You only have a little over 2 days left to get your story in! The deadline is 11:59 Tuesday night!
I will tell you all that it will be later in the evening when I get the stories up, I'll be at clinicals on Wed from 6:45am to 7pm (EST) and have a 1 hour drive to and from the hospital.  But I'll get them up as soon as I get home!

I'd have never thought it could be soooo hard to trim a story to fit the word count.  I think I grimaced throughout the erasing period.
This prompt I totally enjoyed though; looking forward to the next.

If you don't mind my input...I think next round we could move up a baby step or two. Perhaps 1,250 words? That's how long punitive essays were at my middle school.

lazykbys_left did not submit a story and has now used his pass

Quick question for the writers from mav:
Since this is the first time for this challenge, you all are the beta test so I'll be asking your opinions on things pereodicly! Please PM your answer to me... feel free to include it with your vote!
1. We now have someone who has been eliminated from the competition for this round due to not submitting fics and we can do one of two things. a.) We can continue on as normal, one person will receive immunity and one person will become One with the Force or b.) The person with the most votes will receive immunity but no one will become One with the Force since someone is already out for this challenge.
A few voting reminders:
1. Please read all entries before voting. You can find links to the other era threads below!
2. Do NOT vote positive or negative because you love/hate those characters or pairing, you should be voting on how well the story follows the prompt, characterization, creativity etc., not for the characters themselves.
3. Send a PM with your votes and a reason, please.
Example: I vote for [story number/name here] as the best story because it used the prompt very creatively.
I vote for [story number/name here] as the writer to become one with the Force because I felt the characterization was not accurate.
4. If you beta for one of the writers, please don't vote in either direction for that writer as you know which story is theirs and that completely defeats the purpose of the anonymity. I have no way of checking so we are on the honor system!
