I'll cede to whoever our overseer ends up being for the final say on whether categories need revisited, but chances are highly in favor of them being the same. The only relevant category "change" I could find in last year's post-aw*rds discussions was that poems within stories could be eligible for Best Poem.
Keep on volunteering, folks, and don't forget to list what positions you'd be interested in (host, overseer, entertainment, help desk, evil minion)!

I'd like to volunteer wherever you need me, and yes, this includes Overseer or Host. Despite a history of frequent breaks midway through the process, I have faith that this will be the summer I can finally allot enough time for this.

I enjoyed working on the awards last year and would love to do so again. You can put my name into the mix for host or volunteer, or whatever you need.

Oh yeah, I didn't say what I wanted to do.  I was an evil mionion last year, and I wouldn't mind doing that again. I would also be willing to be a host or the entertainment person.

Also, to anyone volunteering for the head jobs of Overseer or Hosts, I'll be gathering all the info threads and whatnot and making sure you have last year's discussions to give you an idea of what worked and what didn't.

Crap! I'm dumb and forgot some important stuff, though you folks may already know this.
Those of you interested in being hosts or volunteers, please let us know for which eras. In deciding which era you want, please keep this in mind (from the old Awards FAQ):
The overseer is not allowed to vote, because she is organizing the entire process and has access to information about all of the eras. The hosts cannot vote in the era that they’re hosting in, but can vote in the other two eras. The mods are helping to make the awards process go more smoothly and prevent cheating, but they are essentially regular fanficcers and therefore are allowed to vote.
By the same token, the overseer isn’t allowed to have fics nominated, the hosts are allowed to only in the eras they’re not working in, and the mods are allowed to in any era.
Evil minion volunteers can vote in any era. But you can't be eligible to win in the eras you're working. So, if you write in Before, and you want your stories eligible for awards, volunteer for Saga or Beyond. If you don't care, more power to you.
Also, any hosts from yesteryears - if you have advice for future hosts, I'd love PMs from you. They'll go in the Awards forum for the hosts to read (if you don't want your name attached to the advice, just let me know).
