Do we need a full fledged Schism? Or just people getting into a diplomatic huff here? Granted the Schism would be more dramatic, but doesn't account for the cordial relationship hinted at between Roan and Kol. And Roan is referred to as a Jedi Master, so I think diplomatic huff would be more appropriate.
Daala would probably raise holy hell about GA-funded Jedi personel and material going to the IR. Maybe we can work from that angle. Daala gets ticked, Luke pulls back on the surface, but they still have this back-door policy going on...

BIRTH OF THE IMPERIAL KNIGHTS:
Well, this is gotta be tied in the political crap. I mean the Emperor had the royal guard, the Chancellor had the Senate Guards. Jag's married to a Jedi so the Jedi Royal Guard is formed. This could possibly play into Daala being all hacked off about the IR too. I mean, I'd be ticked if the quasi-militant order that my government was funding was training another governments special guard corps.
I get a definite Old Guard/New Guard feel from this. Obviously, the Skywalkers stay put. So would Corran, Kenth, Kyle and the rest of the "older" knights. One because they feel an allegiance to this current incarnation of the New Republic they've all fought and bled for and two, because they don't trust Daala as far as they can throw her.
Kyp is the odd "old" man out here. I can see him going either way. Maybe this mysterious girlfriend of his can weigh into this? On the other hand, he's done just the opposite of what Luke's wanted him to do often enough, I think this would be a good return to form for him here.
Maybe we should just flip a coin?
I think that Jag and Jaina are going to create something new and dynamic in the GFFA because with the Imp system they have the personal power to do that. It's going to draw a number of the younger knights to them. Idealism and all that.
Sara and I have also traded PM's on the subject of most of the Imperial Knights must come from family/close friends of the Fel's themselves. If we go this direction, it would probably be a good idea to keep the inital crop of IK's small. Good idea.
Also where do Tahiri and TK fit in this? Leia, Han and Amelia? We've got to put them in somewheres. Agreed. We just have to figure out how big of parts they are going to play. I would hate to see us get so excited about putting too many players in the game that we forget about the game itself.
ZEKK:
Hypoxic and amnesiac Zekk back to his bounty hunter roots. I LOVE THIS! Maybe after he's assigned the contract on Jag, he starts having disjointed flashbacks. Like he's studying holos of them and all the sudden he's got a flash of Jaina laughing at him. Drives him to extend the mission, stalk the Fel's trying to puzzle out who and what they are to him...  I gotta stop typing here before I write a story post...  However, I don't want him mooning over Jaina. That's been done. To death. Let's keep our Zekk smart.
I like the idea of flashbacks. Especially ones that aren't necessarily good. I too don't want a stupid Zekk. I think he's come a long way and he deserves a smart story.
EVERYBODY FEELING THE LOVE:
I like this. I love mush. You may have noticed that in my writing. I've got a crazy cracked idea for the OC to fix Ben up with... an Imperial FS OC. I trust you all can see teh dramaz inherent in that one.

I don't think there will be a full fledged 'war' between Jaina and Ben. They are all thats left now, and I just don't see them going there. However, there could be a very heated difference in opinion. We've all had those with people we care about.

Exactly. That is the only thing that makes sense both in ff and canon. People not seeing it is either a lack of IQ points or an overdose of denial.

Yep. And pull their funding. Which may send some to the IR.

They have the political clout to rule, which is why they are the OTP. And, yes, their going to take it by storm.  DR has been building towards it for years, and I think we need to somehow capture that here as well. I call it Kennedy-esque, regardless of what you think of them...the magic was there...the power, the beautiful power couple from affluent famlies. But here you have supernatural DNA thrown in as well.

It's possible. However it's also possible that DR and DH will bring in all new characters to found them. We know they are going to move forward with Jag/jaina and Ben. But, really, everything else is not a given. Sometimes I wonder if we'll even see too much more of Bantam's big guns or their young guns, for that matter, as anything other than space fillers in an occassional novel..ie, Corran, Kyp, Karde, Tahiri, TK, the Horn children...and that's about all that's left.
However, something about Ganner Krieg still SCREAMS Corran Horn to me.  So I think that is a very logical path to follow with Valin/Wyn.
For this though, I say use them. OC's can get tricky.
But I really like the idea of the Draco character as an OC, since Antares is so obviously above the fray...
Okay my sis and her husband just arrived so we're double dating to go see Jag...uh, I mean Batman.

Ok, so I was thinking in the shower this morning (be scared) about our assasin friend.
Do the space pirates that pick him up have an agenda? I mean, when you think space pirates do we really picture people who help out of the goodness of their heart? Not everyone is like Han. I had two ideas and please feel free to shoot them down. LOL
One - They know who he is and since he can't remember, they take advantage of the fact and make sure they instill a hatred for Jag and the Empire in him. Just for kicks and because they can. This could cause our friend to have an unnatural attachment (that's not the word I'm looking for....) to the sugject of the Emperor and therefore more suceptable to taking the assaination job.
Two - Have the pirates bring him to Daala. Yes, I'm going with the conspiracy theory on this one. You can either have him know who he is and she breaks him since he's in bad shape, then sends him to kill Jag, under the guise of a bounty hunter. His own crew not even knowing his real agenda. Or, you can have him not know who he is and she gives him a fake history, making sure he despises Jag. She gives him the task of taking care of killing the fledgling Empire by taking out Jag. Cause I see Daala being sneaky like that.
These are just thoughts off the top of my head and I know they're not necessarily well developed. Please, be honest girls. LOL Tell me what you think.

Zekk could also have been so injured that Daala has him "rebuilt" sort of like Vader. She twists his mind, maybe she has a Sith tucked away on the Bloodfin that could help. Then he would not be recognized right away, or on sight. The Jedi start noticing that they recognize him through the Force...
He could always crash an Imperial Ball. Sorry, I just had to type that once more.

You know how I live in my own little twisted world.... Besides, Daala is one twisted old broad.
Go back and read some of her lines. She is ruthess and she will do anything to get to the top. For goodness sakes she slept with Tarkin! That's just gross. Ewwweee! I think that speaks volumes.
Obviously her taste did improve with age since Gil was a real gentleman. I have always put Daala on the same level as Isard.
