Children of Mandalore:

I was wondering if anybody would be willing to participate in a series of Mandalorian fics, full blown or viggies under the label of Children of Mandalore.

Something along the lines of the LotF books: one author writes a story followed up by another authors story taking place directly after the previous one.

Set storyline around the NJO.

I don't know jack about the NJO. doh!
But if connecting things very loosely to that would be enough, I am interested.
There's no such thing as too many Mandos. grin

I take that as an affirmation that I don't need to know the NJO well to write with you. grin

The Wook had plenty on the Yuuzhan Vong, as it does for everything Starwars

Alright Cpl-Macja is in as a writer as well.

I think that we can say we have plenty of writing talent now to get started, but if anyone should like to join in on the fun later on, just PM me and we can work something out.

Fair?

Alright here is the list of characters that will be used for the series:

THE MANDALORIANS:

Goran Beviin, Mandalorian Mercenary (Male Human)
---------------------------------------------------------------
THE BRC:
Tyran Numeck, Mandalorian Mercenary (Male Human)
Rixa Numeck, Mandalorian Mercenary (Male Human)
Ryia Devieyc, Mandalorian Assassin (Male Human)
Rev Devieyc, Mandalorian Assassin (Male Human)
Kial Volar, Mandalorian Bounty Hunter (Male Human)
Beluin Ululat, Mandalorian Soldier (Male Zabrak)

---------------------------------------------------------------

Jaleen Saiijen, Mandalorian Super Commando (Male Human)
Maia Yiaiin, Mandalorian Super Commando (Female Human)
Alia Jaion, Mandalorian Super Commando (Male Human)
Quia Aiaji, Mandalorian Super Commando (Male Human)

________________________________________________________________________

THE YUUZHAN VONG:
Nas Choka, Yuuzhan Vong Supreme Overlord (Male Vong)
Tsavong Lah, Yuuzhan Vong Warmaster (Male Vong)
Yakaal Rae, Yuuzhan Vong Warfleet Commander (Male Vong)
Ienaan Qai, Yuuzhan Vong Warrior (Male Vong)
Kalu Kii, Yuuzhan Vong Captain (Male Vong)
Regagal Tiin, Yuuzhan Vong Warrior (Male Vong)

* This is not all of the characters, you guys can add on to this as much as you want for your respective parts. CPL_Macja already added Preal Montross and MsLanna was taling about another female Mando'ade and a droid. I was thinking of adding in a few Jedi to tie into my story Rogue Jedi: Wrath.

As far as a storyline goes, thats open for discussion, when I came up with the idea for this series i was uncertain whether or not to have it in the NJO or the Legacy of the Force. We can discuss this and due away with the Yuuzhan Vong and write something along the lines of the LOTF, which might actually be the better way to go seeing as some of us arent well quainted with the Yuuzhan Vong.

CPL_Macja asked me what the order of the writers would be, and I was thinking something like this: I'll post a viggie that takes place after the story Macja and I are working on takes place, than Corellian_Ale could do the next one, MsLanna then CPL_Macja. But this can be subject to change as well.

I think the LOTF era might suit us better (although Vong don't scare me). I would imagine post-NJO would still entails at least some Vong resistance... thinking

Are you referring to the story you and Macja have posted in Beyond? I ask becuase we're probably going to need to know more about your Mandos & BRC if Lanna and I are going to write them. And if that's the case, will we have to wait until that story ends before we know where to go from here?

I generally gravitate towards writing my own OCs (which means expect me to contribute a few), but if I can get a good grasp on your Mandos, I shouldn't have a problem writing them true to their characters. That's my biggest trepidation on writing someone else's OCs. worried I just don't want MsLanna and I to stick out like sore thumbs, or a Traviss in the LOTF series. tongue

Macja, Lanna, Mando Man? Any thoughts on a general story outline/plot?

We're writing a Mandalorian series, we all have to be like a Traviss tongue

Well, if the LOTF is what we're going to be doing then I guess that my Fic Honorable Discharge should be the first one in the series.

I think after you read the bio's a plot line will become clear, I kind of laied a mine-field of ideas throoughout the bios including spoilers of how Honorable Discharge will end.

Alrighty, here are some bios for a few of my core characters:

The BRC (Black Rag Crew): A collective of Mandalorians who have been friends since child hood and fought wars together just as long who earned the name BRC by wearing black bandanas under their helmets during combat, in total there were seven but they Yuuzhan Vong war changed that. Beluin Ululat, A Zabrak, was killed in a raid on Kalua IV and it’s leader Tyran Numeck left the group after the war had finished and Kial Volar left the group for differences with it‘s leadership structure. Command of the group fell to Ryia Devieyc, the closest friend to Tyran Numeck, who appointed the adopted son of Tyran Numeck, Jaiden Numeck, to be his second in command. During the war with Corellia they were employed under the Galactic Alliance until someone in GAG suspected them of treason, which prompted them to leave the GA and return to Mandalore, they would later serve with Jedi until the end of the war.

Tyran Numeck: A man haunted by the killing in the Yuuzhan Vong war, who decided to turn away from the Mandalorian life. A Mandalorian with a conscience, he is the perfect example of Dar’manda only wanting to kill if he has to. He wants nothing to do with the lifestyle of the Mandalorians anymore, but returned to it to save his little brother Rixa Numeck who fell into some trouble with the GAG not long after the war with Corellia started. He is a man who sticks to a task once he commits himself to it, he either finish the task or die trying. Even if it’s a task he doesn’t wholeheartedly agree with.

Kial Volar: Once a former rival of Tyran Numeck and Ryia Devieyc, he now stands by Tyran side as a willing and loyal comrade in arms. At first at odds with the choice Tyran made to leave the Mandalorians he now accepts the reasons for why Tyran left. His relationship with Ryia however has not made a turn for the better, after Tyran left the BRC Volar and Devieyc resumed their old feud which ended up with Ryia on the ground and Kial saying he was done with the BRC. He now lives on Concord Dawn but spends a lot of time on Mandalore, his contacts within the intelligence community are unparalleled and he is a bit of a smart-mouth during combat and in everyday life.

Jaiden Numeck: Once a boy named Kanis Yiyna who’s parents were killed in the attack on Mandalore by the Yuuzhan Vong, he now uses the lethal skills his adopted father Tyran taught him, before leaving the Mandalorians, to track down the hardest of criminal across the galaxy, primarily employed by the GA but also doing some freelance work for the Bothans. Jaiden doesn’t share the conscience that his adoptive father does, he will kill and not think twice about it. He served in the BRC for a year until his uncle Rixa, the man who looked after him when Tyran left, went missing inside the GA. He spent a few months tracking down leads but got nowhere. He didn’t want to make the move he had to, asking Tyran Numeck for help, but he did. Together along with his wife Niya Dinn, Kial Volar and the Mandalorian techno-nerd Ami Laylis they found Rixa Numeck. But they also found his wife Jaya and Tyrans’ wife Aru dead. Jaiden now scours the galaxy with his estranged father, Kial Volar, Niya Dinn, and Ami Laylis and Rixa Numeck looking for the men responsible.

Rixa Numeck: A marksman extraordinaire who has a short fuse and a big mouth, more than once getting him into trouble in the tapcafs in Keldabe as a kid and being bailed out o it by his brother Tyran. He has a deep-seated love and respect for Tyran, though he would never admit it, but he also despises him in a way. He had always strived to be everything that his older brother was: strong, brave, smart, loyal but he could never manage to be respected as much by the other Mandalorians. Even when Tyran turned his back on the Mandalorians he still seemed to have more respect than Rixa did. But that grudge dissolved when Tyran, Jaiden and Volar smashed through that prison wall and hauled him back to Mandalore where he was smothered with affection from his older sibling and his old comrade Kial. The moment was interrupted by thoughts of Aru and Jaya, who had died in their own search for Rixa..

Niya Dinn: A typical Mandalorian women, can cook, keep a clean house and put a boot up the shebs of any man who looks at her the wrong way, the longtime sweetheart of Jaiden Numeck.

I hope this helps grin

I going to have to bow out for the month of November so I can take part in National Novel Writing Month, but when it's over I'll jump back in. In the meantime, if you want to bounce ideas back and forth via PM, feel free.
