	Everyone else had Christian and Satine kissing, and I wanted it too, but I'll just pose as Satine... I love Moulin Rouge! I hate valentine's day... went to a movie with a friend and two guys, she ends up making out with hers, I sit next to mine thinking... geez I hate my life... still never been kissed... did I mention I hate valentine's? 	Nikita, I'm with ya. This hasn't been the best Valentine's Day either. We didn't have school today so that meant I couldn't see all of my friends and stuff. Then, my aunt is pregnant and we are throwing the babyshower at my house this weekend. 30 women... in my basement. Meaning I've cleaned all day. And since I am currently single, that meant that the FedEx truck bypassed my house with those roses. Sigh, just try to remember the better Valentines. It helps. Or try to think of the ones ahead. 	Nikita...don't worry at all, I've never kissed a guy either...and while it isn't always fun, and it is hard to see sometimes...it's better. Because SO many people throw away a first kiss on someone not at ALL worthy of it. I have close friends who have described their first kisses as "disappointments" because they threw them away on drunken guys, or guys who they never talked to or saw again. Yea, it can be a REAL pain on days like Valentine's Day...but it's also good to know that your first kiss can be the way YOU want it to be. So don't be down on yourself Happy early birthday, Sara!!! Hope you get all your wishes true! 34, I loved that song, thanks a million for sending it to me! 	Ah Kimball, what a great song! Brings back memories to when I first saw Kate on the big screen. Loved the song! Well, I had a great Valentine's Day, even though I'm single. Spent the evening playing laser tag with some of my favorite people on campus! Then came back and watched PCU (early 90s college movie) and Signs! And I'm in the mood to sing again...and yes, I'm kind of on a Jake Armerding fix right now (he's one of my friends who is a very talented musician. Plays the piano, violin, mandolin, guitar, etc. And he cut a CD a couple years ago. Just a really talented guy.) so, I'll be singing you another of his songs. 	Yoda, I know exactly what you mean. And can you girls explain to a poor, confused single male something? Why is it that the good girls claim there are no decent guys, fall for the jerks, complain about how chivalry has died (when you do good things for them RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM!) and then lock themselves in a room to watch Shane "Flannel-Wearing-Badass" starring movies and weep? Do girls think that the only decent guys are jerks-turned-heroes? Come ON! Jeez! Don't get me wrong, I love movies and hope that I'll get some drama in my life- but crikey! Sometimes I think that girls believe the stereotypes of males in the movies! Rant over Valentines Day has an ill effect on me. It's consumer-driven, money-mongering claws were sunk into 99 percent of my floor yesterday, so I spent most of my night reading Spider-man comics and designing my wall mural. 	Thanks everyone!! Yay I'm 14 now!! Lmao sounds young, cause most everyone in here is older than me. Anyway, I don't hate Valentine's Day, but I don't like it. Last year, the dance was on my birthday and it was the worst one I ever had. But this one wasn't so bad, even though Johnny still didn't talk to me, even though I asked him to dance. I had my first kiss a long time ago, with a guy I'm still in love with. Yes, it's possible for a 14-year-old girl to be in love. Most people tell me I can't be, because I'm too young to understand it. 	Ohhhhhh... tgy! That was beautiful! You really made my night! kisses tgy on the cheek. excal: That whole "chivalry gone extint.... no decent males thing" is just a ploy. Trust me, I'd know. I've actually sunken so low to say that myself. Basically translated as said by a girl means "I am so self-concious right now because no one decent ever seems attracted to me." There are a lot of bad guys out there. Great ones too... but sometimes it takes actual work to go out and find them. Which is something most people don't want to do. The idea of a "a prince charming riding up to your house/dorm/sorority/apartment" is something all girls dream of. So easy, so perfect. It's made right out of fiction. And once girls realize that it isnt' going to happen, they take it out on the guys. What once was fictionalized days of "handsome men desiring to whisk you away to a tropical paradise" now becomes a realized reality. Sounds sad, but very true. Don't get yourself down. Seriously, you (and all the other guys here) are one in a million. Once those girls realize that the effort to become close to guys like you, you'll meet that one special girl (or maybe a few ). Just wait it out, it will happen. And therein ends the analysis of a female's mind. Pretty scary huh? Ah ha- Sara, you'd be proud! 	Happy Birthday Sara! Neon: Oooo Legolas pics! Oooo pirate Orlando. Has anyone seen any of the promo pics for Pirates of the Carribean yet? I did, theres one in Januarys Entertainment Weekly, Orlando makes a yummy pirate! excal: Well, I guess I can take a shot at explaining the "dissapearance of chivalry" thing to a poor confused guy. Actualy, I can't blame you for being confused, I'm a girl and it still confuses me! I know that there are wonderful guys out there, their just so hard to find! And most of them are taken. I am just so sick and tired of guys wanting nothing from me but my body, and when they realize there not going to get that, leaving. So many times they care nothing for me, just my looks. Sometimes its a curse to be pretty I swear.... And believe me, its very discourageing to think a guy likes you, but then as soon as they realize I'm not going to sleep with them they take off. THATS were the whole thing about "no good guys" thing comes from. It makes it much easier just to retreat into fantasy and day dream about movie type heros when real life guys are this way. I know plenty of nice guys (including you guys here, you guys are one in a million) but they are my friends, not my boyfriends. Lol, okay, theres the end of my rant. I think I went overboard there. 	Excal, here is my little take on this, and its probably not going to be good because I'm depressed about something, but here goes. Jaded and Princess are right, and also, you have to understand, almost all girls have been hurt in some manner or other by guys. And once a girl has been hurt, its usually harder to bring down the shields she puts up for herself. Its a self defense, we're afaird to be hurt, and in some respects we take actions against guys to save ourselves from being hurt. You can't prove you're a good guy through actions, or words, she has to decide that for herself, and that takes a lot of time, because less meaningful guys have tried the same as a means of getting at the girl, and in the end, rip another hole into the heart. So, the best place to turn is to some fantasy boy who isn't full of shadows, who they know won't hurt them, and they wish they could have that in real life. You have to accept it, and work with it, give the girl time to realize that you don't mean harm, and have patience. Now, I would rant right now, but I won't. A. It would probably get me banned because something in this rant involves a mod. B. I'd probably sound whiny and silly for feeling this way about this subject. C. I'm guessing two thirds of you would be rather upset with what I say, so, its not proper...
