34~ This is the best news I've had all year. I'm so happy that she's pulling through this. Your mom is a strong woman.
K I guess the audition went really well... I first had my piano placement, which I think was worse then my vocal. I played one page of my song and then some scales and then a duet with the insrtuctor.
Then I had my actual audition. I had a sore throat, love the way that always works out... hehe anyways, I sang all three songs and they said I had good tone or someting along that line. Then I sight read and for the life of me couldn't get past the second note, so with a little help i finished the piece perfectly and they looked? impressed... lol they they had me do some ear training exercises... not too good but oh well...
Then we got to the funnest part of the day... The Theory placement, HA! What a joke! Who has perfect pitch?!??! NOT ME!
anyways, sore throat is attacking me, going to bed!

I am having a hard night. My mom died recently and the experience was horrific. I was doing alright but sometimes the pain is overwhelming.

I am very sorry to hear about your mother. I can not even imagine life without mine. From the time of our birth to the day of their deaths, they will always be with you.

She was only 60. I am 35. She had a routine eye surgery. I went down to Belen which is about 35 miles from where I live in Albuquerque NM. When I got there she was very disoriented. I was a nursing student so I knew something was very wrong. We rushed her to the hospital in Alb. When we got there she had a blood sugar of 820 and a heart rate of 200. Normal blood sugar 100 and a resting heart rate of about70. It was horrible we went thru a week of ups and downs and I had to watch her die. I am the strongest one in the family. My older brothers and my dad fell apart. I had to make most of the funeral arrangements. I had felt loss before but when it is a parent the pain is beyond anything I have experienced. I have been using my love for Star Wars to distract me and it has helped but last night I forgot she was gone and I was going to ask her to read my story. It is the first time I forgot she was gone. We had a difficult relationship. While I was growing up it was fine but once I became an adult she got extremely hateful. On my end I did the best I could but it is hard to know we wasted my adult years not liking eachother. The doctors think she formed a gallstone that blocked the pancreas. You need that for insulin production.

Oh my gosh I am so sorry. That is more horrorable then I could possibly imagine, I don't know what I'd do without my mom, she's always been there for me, in one way or another. I don't know what I would do without her. I can't begin to express how sorry I am,what shock that must have been, and still is.

To Ptrsons: 34 remains one of the most eloquent writers I know, and he has said it all far better than I ever could. But thank you for welcoming me, for offering support, prayers, and guidance, and for loving Cold Comfort Farm-such a small thing, but something that brought a smile to my face. I, along with the rest of the Fortress, will miss your presence very much, you truly were the "mother" here. If you ever get a chance, drop by and let us know how you're doing. May the Force be with you, too, and may happiness and joy follow you wherever you may go.
34: I have been praying and will continue to do so, for your mom and for all of your family who I love so much. Thank God that she is doing well, and I pray that her recovery remains steady! I'm so happy for her and for all of you.
debeautimous: I cannot even attempt to say that I understand the kind of pain you must be going through, because I, like many here, cannot imagine my life without my own mother who I love so dearly. I admire your strength and courage very much. I'll pray for you, and remember that while you may not know me or anyone else in here yet, feel free to come and talk anytime you want to. God bless.
Nikita: I am so happy that it went well overall! I know how nervewracking auditions can be, trust me (ask 34, too!), but I am sure you did a great job! Congrats!
And on a personally really happy note...I GOT CAST IN A SHOW!!!! I don't know much about the show, or even the role that I have-my first rehearsal is tonight-but it's called "Absolutely Murder" and is a comic murder mystery. I believe my role is Mrs. Ranch...but more on that as it all unfolds.
