Keep it PG?!?! Oh come on. I am sick of those Luke and Mara stories that skip kissses and what-have-you. I mean I am not talking about anything too graphic I just love romance and sometimes romance can not be described with words. Only actions. Bring on the romance!

Well here y'all go. A nice long post to make up for the brevity of the last one. Thanks so much everybody for all the nice things you're saying. And to juwannajedi, sorry I took so long, but hey, a guy's gotta go to work.

It was the rustling of the covers that awakened Mara in the morning. At least she assumed it was morning; there was no sunlight this deep within the Imperial Palace, only the soft glow of a few lamps. She opened her eyes to see the Emperor of the galaxy striding toward the shower in the next room. She let her gaze roam appreciatively over his well-muscled back. Thanking her good fortune that he hadn’t bothered to don a robe, she let her gaze drift further down.
Her steamy thoughts were interrupted by the chime of the door. Her irritation turned to shock when Luke yelled for whoever it was to enter, regardless of his current state of undress, or that of the woman still in his bed. Mara barely had time to pull the bed coverings up to her chin before Telin entered.
“Here are the evaluation reports you asked for my Lord,” Telin reported with his head bowed. Mara wondered if he had even noticed she was there. If he had, she admired his ability to conceal his surprise.
“Good work Telin. Get my robe for me, I’ll go over these evaluations immediately,” Luke said, sounding as if he still wasn’t fully awake. Telin immediately fetched a robe, black of course, from a hidden closet and held it for the Emperor. Now somewhat dressed, Luke took a seat at the nearby work table and activated the glow lamps above it.
“Is there anything else you require my Lord?” Telin inquired, bouncing his question off the hard marble floor.
“Some breakfast would be nice,” Luke muttered as he flipped the page in one of the folders. “Anything in particular you’d like Mara?”
Mara silently cursed Luke’s sense of humor, as if he felt the need to point her out to whoever this little man was. Mara, however, was never one to shrink from a challenge. Realizing where she was, she knew this was her first chance for a decent meal in nearly a decade. Time to see just how well the Emperor’s pantry was stocked.
“I think I’ll start with some coffee, Malastare mountain blend, along with an assortment of fruit from the gardens of Naboo. Then I’d like two Kroc eggs, poached. The Kroc is a large hunting bird indigenous to Kashyyyk in case you were wondering. On the side I’d like some Corellian wheat toast with an assortment of fruit preserves, again from Naboo. To wash it all down … hmm, let’s see … to wash it all down I think I’d like a bottle of Alderaanian champagne, whatever vintage you think best,” Mara rattled off with glee. In her years of undercover work, she’d been forced to miss more than one meal. Her current situation seemed to be going a long way towards making up for that.
“Very well ma’am,” Telin said with a polite nod in her direction.
“Stop right there,” Emperor Skywalker commanded. “Telin, explain to me why you’re willing to look her in the eyes and not me.”
“I don’t think it was my eyes he was trying to get a look at,” Mara said wryly.
“Regardless of that,” Luke said, “I’ve told Telin time and time again that he has the abilities necessary to be my chief aide, but he’s no good to me if he trembles whenever he’s in my presence. I’d be happy if he’d look me in the eyes for once.”
“Well dear, you’ve got to realize you have a commanding presence,” Mara returned with a smirk.
“I’m being serious. The only thing that’s kept him alive this long is his exemplary work,” Luke stated as if Telin wasn’t even in the room.
“All right,” Mara said consolingly. “Would you like me to solve this problem for you?”
“Be my guest,” Luke said before returning to his reports.
Aware that she couldn’t deal with this problem from where she lay, Mara slithered out from underneath the covers, bringing a sheet out with her. It wasn’t until she was standing with the sheet wrapped around her that she realized the sheet wasn’t as opaque as she would have liked. Unwilling to act embarrassed in front of an aide, Mara placidly walked over to the closet Telin had opened and grabbed herself a robe identical to the one Luke was wearing.
“Do you mind?” Mara asked Telin with a disapproving stare. Telin immediately understood what she was asking and turned his back toward her. Once she gained this modicum of privacy, Mara let the too thin sheet drop to a pile on the floor and put on the much more substantial, not to mention warm, robe.
“Now Telin,” Mara began as she walked up behind him, placing her hand on his shoulder and turning him towards the Emperor, “let’s see if we can solve this problem together. Now I know when it comes to the Emperor, you obviously respect the man as well as the title. However your constant obeisance is making the Emperor unhappy. That makes me unhappy. So here’s what we’re going to do.”
Mara paused as she urged Telin forward to slide her hand down from his shoulder. Then grabbing him by the wrist, she violently wrenched his arm up and back until the flat of his hand was firmly placed between his shoulder blades.
“Now,” Mara said, ignoring Telin’s whimpers of pain, “if I ever again hear that your behavior is causing the Emperor problems, I’m going to find out just how far this arm can bend in this direction. Do you understand?”
“Yes ma’am,” Telin managed to utter despite the obvious pain he was in.
“Good,” Mara said with much content. “Now leave us, and don’t forget my breakfast order.”
“You certainly have a way with people,” Luke said from behind his reports once Telin had safely left the room.
“You just make things more difficult than they are. Telin was afraid of what you might do to him if he made some mistake, obviously taking your heritage into account. Now he’s more afraid of me.”
