Whoops, I hadn't noticed that. Completely unintentional that was.
Originally his name was Larson Hanover. I inserted the 'l' for some reason which escapes me at the moment.
Thanks for all the great responses everybody. I'll try to get more out soon, but I'm kinda stuck. The story is at a crossroad between the intro and the setup to the ending. The middle of a story seems to be the hardest part for me to write. I gotta make sure everybody gets where they're supposed to be and that they get there for a good reason.
Mara's kinda running the story now, and I'll get more written when she tells me what she's up to.

same thing with me, the beginning and end are threre, but the middle escapes me. for some reason, the middle is always the hardest part. My writing coach for three weeks tells me that should be, that the end or the beginning should be hard, but the middle should flow. oh well.

“That’s one down. When do I get to meet the Grand Admirals?” Mara asked after Larson left to begin his new job. Now that they were alone again, Mara seated herself on the corner of Luke’s desk and swung her legs playfully.
“Tomorrow,” Emperor Skywalker replied. “I’m meeting with them to discuss future fleet movements. I may as well drop another bombshell on them.”
“So now I’m a bombshell,” Mara teased. “I’ve been called many things, but never that.”
“I’m honored to be the one to make up for that oversight,” Luke complimented her. Mara could tell something was wrong though. His humor seemed forced, and his smile was the guilty smile of a man afraid to be caught in his deception. It didn’t take a mind reader to see what the problem was; it took a woman.
“Oh come on Skywalker. We both know I can’t just hang around the Palace for the rest of my life. As wonderful as that might be, I would be seen as nothing more as your consort, a woman who caught the Emperor’s eye. That’s not the life I want. I was trained to serve Emperor Palpatine, and I served him well. Now I offer my services to you. You already have my love, now you have my allegiance.”
“None of that matters,” Luke returned angrily, slamming his fist on his desk as he rose from behind it. Pacing back and forth to give his feelings a physical outlet, it took a few moments before Luke calmed himself enough to speak. “I don’t want your allegiance, I want you. I don’t want your service, I just want you. And now that I finally have you, you want to leave. If you love me so much, why am I not enough for you?”
“It’s not that I don’t want to stay here with you. But in time I would come to hate myself for what I would become. I would be the joke people tell at their parties. I would be the woman the servants would secretly look down upon with scorn. I would see myself as the fool who allowed her talents to be wasted. And in time I would come to resent you for it.”
“Being the Emperor’s Hand means that much to you?”
“Almost as much as you mean to me,” Mara replied. “But I can’t just choose one or the other, I must have both.”
