	Ugh, sorry everyone... Hurrican Ivan, about a week & a half ago launched tonardos near my house-luckily not coming too close for comfort-and nailed powerlines. My computer got fried (bad for stories & bad for major papers!!! ) & I've finally got it up and running again. I'll try to get the updates I rescued up tonight, if not it'll be up tomorrow. 	I got the update up tonight!!! Yay, go me! Sorry for the wait & this is a longer post for you guys!!! Please R&R! ~~~~ Chapter 31 Solo Apartment, Resident Building close to the Imperial Palace, Coruscant* Recovering from their ordeal, the Jedi start to gather their forces towards the main resident building. Feeling reasons from the Force, the Jedi know that they must have a force gathered to deal with the masters of the Sith that attacked them. Right now one such rendezvous point is the Solo residence-particularly since Master Skywalker and Master Jade Skywalker’s apartment is in the process of being repaired. Leia, Han, and the three Solo kids wait in the apartment for the others to arrive. Fortunately, Mare Jade Skywalker had landed about two hours before-for her danger sense was flaring even before the attack began. She immediately flew towards Coruscant when her contact with the others-especially Luke-was surprisingly blocked. Jaina, fed up with waiting, turned on the holovid and looked for the news-particularly what the government was going to say about the recent incidents. Jacen is on the side couch, ignoring everyone as he fiddles with an object. //What is he doing? // Anakin thinks looking over at his brother. Anakin then rolls his eyes as Jaina, who’s now annoyed by the cover-up by the republic, turns on some random channel. //Or maybe not so random. Wonder if she’s actually into a holo opera. // “Nah,” he says under his breath, knowing that Jaina like their father would never be able to stand watching anything remotely like that. As the Solo kids wait in left side of the main room in the apartment, Han and Leia quickly send a call to Luke and Mara’s, as well as others’, commlinks. Getting a response from Luke, both of them relax somewhat. A few minutes later, Luke and Mara arrive and speak softly to Leia and Han. Mara says quietly, “What else has happened since I arrived and before that?” Leia and Han raise eyebrows at Luke who shakes his head in exasperation. His wife is definitely looking for another opinion, probably because she believes he’s toning down the really traumatic parts of the attack. Han leads Luke away with a hand touching the young man’s shoulder and the slight movement of his head. Luke gives one last glance over at Mara before drawing to the side with Han. Leia takes a deep breath as Mara turns her jade green eyes-which look like lasers at the moment-on her. Mara asks icily, and for Leia’s ears only, “What happened and I want to know details. You saw everything even before you reached that room. If Luke and I can do that, you can as well and don’t disagree. The twin bond when it awakened has been getting incredibly stronger by each passing year.” Leia says calmly, “The full story?” “The full story.” “Okay,” Leia says and begins to tell her about the attack on Luke, the council, and other key Jedi and military points. The Jedi and the military have both come to the conclusion that the primarily attack was not meant to completely destroy or steal an item/data of any importance. It seems more like a test case and a distraction. Mara gives Leia another one of her stares and Leia explains-in detail at Mara’s urging-about the surprise attack that no one felt until the attack was under way. She explains the battle, the dangerous situation, and the purpose-to kill or kidnap Luke. Also she said that she and a few others are also on the bounty-so to say-list. Mara frowns, absorbing the information, and nods once at Leia. The men join the two of them, and all four begin to send an encrypted signal towards the Kolistian Sector. Upper Level Central, Committee Lobby, Main Palace, Kolise, Kolistian Sector Sparing a glance at the poor young man-former Sith that he was-sitting on a couch to the side with a Jedi mind healer, Karina and Theo moves towards the table positioned in the center of the area connected to the lobby. Sitting across from each other-to either side at the center of the table-and waited for the reports on the damage and turmoil caused by the Sith attacks. Sighing, Theo says quietly, “It seems we need to up security, hmmm?” “I would certainly say so,” Karina says, raising an eyebrow. “The Sith must have been watching the way we closed and opened the hyperspace lanes into our Sector. They probably went straight to Kolise and subtly used their powers on us. What is your take on this, husband mine?” Theo frowned in thought and looked up after a few minutes. He says softly, as their spoken-like telepathic-conversation is private, “They moved quickly through our sector as to avoid detection. How they got into our sector is inconclusive until we gather all the information within the reports. When one of our trading/scout ships went out of our sector. Once within…” “They headed straight for the capital, went through one of the breaks in the shield, and headed straight here. With their dark powers, the Sith could easily move through our planet. We are lucky they avoided all traces of our people and did not have time to sabotage. Even delayed, secret ones would be detected by our superior technology,” Karina continues, leaning forward to rest her chin on her right hand. Frowning she looks up as Theo says, “We need to full update all systems involved with the protection gate at the entrance to our sector. Create a variety of scanning instruments to add to the protection shield and code locks. We need to use our superior technology to the fullest.” “We will need to immediately get our scientists and programmers on this plan, and use our technology wisely in our shield operations and gateways. Full codes, scans, and checkpoints need to be updated to the most recent development. In addition we will put extra care into the protection of our technology,” Karina says after Theo finishes. Her eyes darken as she dwells in her thoughts and visions. Theo nods, knowing it will take outside galaxy thousands of years to reach this point and in regards to that the Kolistians will continue to evolve and gain higher knowledge. Perhaps the Kolistian Sector should give another advancement in technology to the galaxy before the scheduled time. There is danger, treachery, turmoil, and death heading in their direction. The Kolistians must give as much help to the galaxy as possible. According to experts and scientist reports there is a suspicious tension in the area around the gate protection system, which is restraining the random ten-year closing of the hyperspace lanes. Of course this has not happened since the gate system was created to block it (unless in emergencies where it could easily be forced open again) around nine thousand years ago. Looking at each other, the king and queen sigh as one-seeing each other tired, weary, and yet attentive to their surroundings. Theo thinks to Karina, Hope they come soon. Yea, I feel tired too. Wish they’d hurry up. And here I thought we Jedi are to remain calm. Oh well we are simply beings. Simple?? Okay we’re simple beings with some nifty powers! Happy? A little eager, my queen? Ah, always. Sensing the experts and their desired and necessary reports, both Theo and Karina look up and towards the section off to the right. Standing up, the two royals nod to the scientists, who regard their rulers. Of course some the government considers them presidents of the senate but it reality they are king and queen by blood-to the royals dismay. They wish for their sector to become fully democratic, but one cannot have all in life. They are “honorary” in a sense, but in every other way they are unification of the two royal families and the continuation of bloodlines over twenty-two thousands years old. Back to the present and the problems facing us, my dear. Theo hears in his mind, but he does not acknowledge her admonishment. Instead both he and Karina switch into ruler mode and wait patiently for the reports. It seems their conclusions are exactly the problems that Karina and Theo had been discussing. Sighing, the two rulers spare a glance at each other and issue commands for the upgrades on all shields, scans on every major space lines, and most importantly protection and security on the barrier keeping the Kolisitan Sector both protected and free. If destroyed, however unlikely with such high technology, a ten-year long closing will occur. Luckily, the gates will open and the phenomenon will not happen for another two or so thousand years-but the Kolistians would rather avoid that altogether. Suddenly, both the Jedi queen and king sense a burst of surprise and slight excitement to their left. Looking over, they see a young communications officer running towards them. After giving them a quickly both, the man says, “Your Highnesses, an incoming message from Coruscant! It is from the Skywalkers and the Solos, and they wish to speak to you urgently.” Thanking the young man, the two royals then quickly move to accept the call in a more private reception area. Hitting the communit’s receiver button, the image of Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo, and Han Solo appear on the screen. “You called?” Karina says with a mischievous grin as Theo adds, “Hello, fellow Jedi and Han. We sensed you were having as much fun as we were.” “What’s your status?” Karina says, as she and Theo then proceed to wait patiently for the others’ reply. Blinking, Leia, Luke, Mara, and Han look surprised at the two royals before Leia quickly regains composure and says, “The situation is fine now, thank you.” “We were about to ask you the same thing,” Han adds, a lopsided smile appearing on his face with Mara rolling her eyes. Luke says softly, “I did not realize there were so many Sith left in the galaxy. What was that ‘two Sith only’ policy?” Karina and Theo share a glance and shrug. Karina answers with, “Obviously there were others able to get access to Sith teachings whether in data, inscriptions, or holocron format.” “Also Palpatine may have caused others to turn similar to when he established the so called ‘dark Jedi’,” Theo adds, frowning as he contemplates the potential numbers of Sith they could be dealing with. “There another aspect,” Karina say after a moment of silence. “We have been having visions of a place in which we have determined the Sith are tied to. This planet must be or near to the location of the disturbances in the Force as well as the headquarters of our enemy. We are not certain that the Sith are on the planet-only that they have recently been massing there.” “And we have to go there, don’t we?” Luke asks, his mouth pressing int a thin line. Karina, Theo and Leia nod in unison, their expressions telling that they were not too thrilled with the idea. Han stares at them before saying, “Are you out of your mind? I don’t care about the crazy Jedi thing-going to the base of the enemy isn’t something you just walking into.” “We won’t be going alone,” Leia says, gesturing at Karina and Theo. “We’ll grab a group of us, plus the Kolisitan ones as well.” Karina and Theo nod in agreement, and Luke adds, “We have to stop them, though I must admit going to a planet where they may be based is not exactly the best plan. Unfortunately it seems there is no other way to track the Sith but through our visions.” “Visions can be deceiving,” Karina counters, before saying, “we must be careful and stop the Sith at all costs. If we do not stop them soon it may be too late to stop whatever they are planning. I know we are running out of time and that is why I am not violently protesting this reckless notion of going to a planet which is being watched by the Sith.” “We have no choice but to go there,” Theo says before adding, “we talked to your foreign bureau an hour ago and a complaint of strange activities in the same sector, system, and planet was reported.” “We know,” Leia and Luke say in unison. Leia continues, “I was going to bring that up in the gathering we are about to have. Do you wish to join us?” “That is unnecessary,” Karina says with Theo adding, “We have the coordinates already and will be awaiting your decisions to where we’ll meet on the way. Do you know the coordinates to Nirauin, Mintinum System?” “We do, “Luke says, his eyes showing concern. “Do we really wish to go to this planet? I have a bad feeling…” “Join the club,” Han says, adding another contribution to the conversation. The others smile and Karina replies, “I know…it’s going to be dangerous but we have to stop them. If they can get into our sector, they are truly organized and well aware of the workings of their enemy. We cannot allow them to gain anymore information on us, the Jedi, or the Republic.” “They are readying a strike. We have to block them before they begin, though I have to agree that going on their turf is not going to be easy,” Theo says. Luke laughs and asks, “When is anything easy?” “Never,” Leia says dryly, and looks behind her as the bell rings. “Shall we call you back?” “That would be nice,” Theo, says with a smile as Karina laughs before answering, “We’ll discuss among ourselves and assemble a group of Jedi to join you. We’ll be coming as well.” “May the Force be with you,” Luke says as Leia and Han say goodbye. Theo and Karina nod and Theo says, “Same to you, my friends.” “We’ll be ready as soon as possible and I pray we’ll be able to catch the Sith before they start putting their plans of destruction into action. 	Alrighty still having issues so this is only part one of the entire chapter-ENJOY! <please! ^^U> ~~ Chapter 32 (Part One) Outer loop of the Mitias Comet Rings, 2 hyperspace days away from Nirauin, Mintinum System* Aboard the Kolistian Ship, The Rising Star Moving towards the main holoviewer near the window of the ship’s bridge, the Jedi king and queen look apprehensively at the data pouring in from various spy networks-information either confirmed or rumored. The mid-sized Kolistian ship is also accompanied by six smaller vessels with a complement of twenty fighters-all equipped with innovative weapon and shield technology-and…thirty Jedi. Karina turns and asks Theo, “Are we on time?” “I believe so. Luke, Leia, Han, and the others will be here shortly,” he says calmly, his eyes somewhat distant. Another Jedi, Master Kiltheo Mitvitlvin frowns and asks, “Anyone besides me have this disturbing sense of helplessness? I think we’re running out of time.” “Or someone near us is…” Theo says, his jade green eyes darkening in thought. He looks towards Karina and meets her sad eyes. They finally realized why they felt danger from their life long friend as well as what happened to the small intelligence group-which they did not know was sent there-on Nirauin. The other Jedi and soldiers look at them and one Jedi asks, her voice tinted with concern, “What else has happened?” “A group-that we were NOT informed of-went to Nirauin three weeks ago. All but two were reported dead by following agents,” Theo says, his eyes angry as he looks at the leader of the soldiers. The man shrugs as if to say he didn’t know anything either. Or not that much. Karina looks at everyone and adds icily, “We are not to be misinformed or uninformed ever again. Should this happen the consequences of those involved will be beyond reckoning. Is that clear to all present?” Everyone nods and she continues, “We know that the two individuals are alive, though one of them has a quickly fading future…” “That of who-is-most-likely-to-die,” Theo adds, though Karina does not stop. “The other is getting interrogated every four hours. And yes we can tell, but do not worry, he has not told them anything…” “Except?!” the others cry out. Both the Jedi king and queen sigh and say as one, “They know his name-he said that to save the other and now knows how to use that revealed information to lead the other Sith in circles.” “Of course, we can tell who he is,” Karina continues, as she and Theo hear the unspoken question. “Because he is…” “He is connected to us. And we would like to know why HE was there. He was called-and it had to be a very good reason for him to be-there and now he’s in enemy hands,” Theo adds, his jade green eyes literally a lit with fury. Looking at those gathered-from Jedi to intelligence officers-Karina then says with blue eyes flashing, “Care to explain that???” Silence greets the royals but the definite sound of gulps of fear can be heard. Both Karina and Theo twitch in annoyance, as they wait for the reply. One of the intelligence officers stutters, “We thought we had a good le-ad…it was on the Dailons case bu-u-t…it turned out to be this.” “The group found some odd artifacts and Lord Willtam Lanti offered to go-he said if it was he thought it was, your highnesses needed to know,” another squeaks, her face turning red in embarrassment. Theo says, “Okay, but why WE WERE NOT INFORMED?!” No one answers, and the other Jedi look calmly at the royals, who sigh. With a meaningful glance at the other, the Jedi queen and king move towards the bridge’s window screen. A war is coming…and only the Jedi can stop it before it throws the galaxy once more into chaos.
