i finally finished! j/k, but now i can start other stories *evil grin*

~*~*~*~
Wedge walked back down the hall and knocked on the door before unlocking it and opening it. Jag was sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall. Jaina snuggled in his lap, asleep. Jag’s lips were against her hair as he stroked her back through her jumpsuit. Wedge was struck by how much the couple reminded him of Iella and himself.

“Ahem,” Wedge coughed quietly into his fist, hiding his amusement at the scene in front of him. Obviously, there were no problems in patching up, he thought.

Jag jumped a bit, startled. “S-sorry, Uncle,” he said, “I didn’t realize that you were there.

“I know you didn’t,” Wedge said gravely, hiding his amusement. “I decided to let you two out, so I came back here.”

“Let us-" Jag was confused for a minute, then a memory came back to him. “You locked us in here, didn’t you?”

“Yes, I did. It seemed like the best way to make you two meet up again. Do you want to wake Jaina up so you guys can leave?” Wedge answered.

“Uh, right,” Jag said. Wedge watched as he leaned down and brushed a kiss across her forehead. His lips moved as he whispered something in her left ear.

Wedge left as Jaina stirred, then snuggled closer. “Come on, Jaina, wake up,” Jag said, grinning.

“Do I hafta?” she asked, not opening her eyes.

“Yes, I’m afraid you do,” he told her. “Come on. I’ll walk you to your room,” he said as he pressed a kiss to her temple.

“Ok,” Jaina relented. He helped her to her feet, and then the two walked out of the conference room, down the hall to her room. When they got there, Jaina punched the access code number and stepped through the doorway.

He pressed his lips to hers, then turned to leave. However, she grabbed the sleeve of his jacket and pulled him towards her. It was unexpected and Jag stumbled, and ended up leaning on Jaina, causing her to take most of his weight. Jaina tripped as his weight caught her offguard. As she fell, she slapped the door controls, and it shut with a hiss. Jag fell also, landing heavily on top of her. He immediately pushed off the ground to take his weight off her, but she prevented his getting up by grabbing the material of his jacket on his chest. He came back down with an oof, and rested his forearms on the ground next to her shoulders.

“What are you doing, Jaina?” he asked as she pulled his face down to hers.

“This,” she replied simply. She captured his lips in a kiss. Jag responded to the kiss and their tongues met. Finally, Jag broke the kiss, and rolled off her. He got to his feet and helped her to hers, stealing a light kiss as he did.

An awkward silence fell. Jaina sat on the edge of her bed, trying to think of something to say to break it. Jag faced away from her, looking out one of the windows in her room. He rubbed his neck awkwardly. “Where…where were you?” Jaina finally asked.

“Hmm?” Jag turned, confused.

“I asked: where were you? I mean, for the last year or so, I lost your address,” Jaina pointed out.

Jag cracked a small grin at that, but his reply was serious. “I was in a- what do you call them- oh, an Embrace of Pain with…” he trailed off, realizing that Jaina didn’t know that her brother was still alive.

“With who?” Jaina asked, her curiosity taking over.

“It’s not my place to say,” he replied.

“Really. What makes you think that I won’t get it out of you some way?” Jaina asked him, standing up and backing him up against a wall, an evil glint in her eyes.

“Look, Jaina…it’s really not my place to say. I’ll…you’ll find out soon enough. Come on. Let’s go find them,” Jag said, extending a hand of truce to her.

Jaina took his hand, shook it, and the two walked out of her room. Jag took Jaina to the pilot’s lounge. “Wait here, Jaina. I’ll go get the person,” he told her, sitting her down on one of the couches.

“But Jag-!”

“Please, Jaina? Do this for me?” he pleaded with her.

“Oh, alright,” Jaina grumbled.

“Thanks.” Jag pressed a kiss to Jaina’s forehead, then said, “I’ll be right back.” He then turned and left the room, whistling as he headed down the hallway to Wedge’s office.

He rapped twice on the door, then opened it and walked in. “Hello, Uncle Wedge,” he said casually. “I’m looking for Jacen. Do you have any idea where he might be?”

“Try the gym,” Wedge told him, not looking up from the report he was absorbed in.

“Thanks.” Jag shut the door on his way out and headed to the gym. Once he got there, he stared at Jacen in amazement as the Solo lunged, leaped, and blocked the bolts from a floating metal sphere orbiting around the room.

He stared at Jacen as the Jedi blocked every bolt coming at him. After a couple minutes, he shook himself out of his daze and cleared his throat. “Um, Jacen?”

He was afraid that he might have distracted Jacen at a crucial moment, but Jacen managed to block the last bolt coming at him before turning to Jag and asking, “What?”

“Come on.” Jag darted forward, and grabbed Jacen’s arm, heedless of the glowing lightsaber. He dragged Jaina’s brother out of the gym and down the hall.

“Jag! Where are we going?! Tell me now!” Jacen demanded.

“You’ll see. There’s someone who’s dying to meet you,” Jag said, grinning evilly.

“I do believe that I rubbed off on you. And not in a good way, either,” Jacen observed.

“You’re just jealous that I know where we are going and you don’t,” Jag said, his grin expanding even more.

“You are one strange guy if you think I’m jealous over that,” Jacen said, shaking his head in amusement. “Now will you stop dragging me like you’re a dog on a leash?”

Jag dropped his hand from Jacen’s shirt sleeve like it was a hot coal, and Jacen stumbled, causing Jag to snicker. “Now, that’s funny.”

“That was mature of you, Jag. Really mature of you. Now where are we going?” Jacen asked, irritated at his lack of grace.

“Hey! I’m not allowed to crack up when a Solo falls on his butt?” Jag asked, snickering. “And you are jealous that I know where we’re going and you don’t.”

“I’m not jealous!”

“Am too!”

“Am not!”

“Am too!”

“Am not!” Jacen stopped, looked at Jag, and swore. “I can’t believe I’m having this type of conversation with you! Are you sure you’re not Janson with some type of mask on? Or have you been corrupted by Janson?” he asked suspiciously.

Jag started laughing. Loudly. “Dammit, Jacen. That was one low blow.”

The two men grinned and walked down the hallway. “So, where are we going?”
~*~*~*~

Jaina paced the floor of the lounge. Where the hell is Jag? What is taking him so long? Why was he so secretive? Where the hell is he?! The calm, soothing colors of the lounge did nothing to sooth her mood. Ok, that does it. I’m leaving. NOW! She moved towards the door, and jumped back as it opened up without her even reaching towards the door controls. Two men stood in the doorway.

“Jag!” She flung her arms around his neck. Then, she stood back, and demanded, “Where the hell were you? What the hell took you so long?”

“Hey! I wasn’t gone that long. Besides, I brought you a present,” Jag said, acting hurt.

He stepped out of the doorway, and Jaina got a good look at the man behind him. “JACEN!” she stared at him, before flinging her arms around him. “By all seven Corellian Hells! You’re alive!” she exclaimed as she continued squeezing her brother good and hard.

“Whoa, there, Jaina. No need to crack my ribcage. I’d like to be able to breath, so would you mind releasing your death grip on me?” Jacen gasped.

“What? Oh, sorry about that.” Jaina let go, looking sheepish. Then, she flung her arms around his neck again. “Oh, Jacen, I missed you!”

Jag pulled on Jaina’s arms. “Jaina, I think that Jacen would like to live to see the next couple of minutes?”

“Oh. Right.” Jaina reluctantly let go of Jacen.

“Oh, Jacen. You were right. You weren’t jealous. Actually, you were, but about something else. You were jealous that your sister loves me,” Jag interjected.

Jacen stared at Jag, then at Jacen. Jaina tensed, preparing to get between the two men when her brother tackled Jag. She got the shock of her life when Jacen simply slapped Jag on the shoulder and said, “Maybe at one point I might have been, but I think that the two of you were made for each other.”

Jaina stared at Jacen, realizing that her twin had just said that he approved of Jag for her. Then, she grinned and hugged Jacen, more gently than she had the other two times. “Thanks, Jace,” she whispered into his ear before drawing back.

“No problem, Jaina. See you two around.” Jacen grinned and left the two of them alone.
~*~*~*~

The next day, Jaina grinned at Jag as he pulled her into the conference room where they had had their reunion. “Jag, what are you doing?”

“Just hold on, ok?” he asked.

“Ok,” she replied, sitting down on the couch.

Jag took a couple deep breaths, then said, “Jaina, you know I love you right?”

“Right…” Jaina affirmed, worry hardening her gut. “Jag, are you saying you want to break up?”

Jag stared at her. “NO! Jaina, I want to…I want you to…Jeez, this is coming out wrong,” he said, quickly, swearing to himself. He turned away from Jaina, then faced her again, getting down on bended knee.

“Jag! What are you doing?” Jaina asked, the worry having turned into curiosity.

“Jag reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. “Will you marry me Jaina?” he asked, as he opened the box to reveal the golden band. It had a diamond with a pearl on either side of it.

Jaina stared at the ring, then at Jag. “Oh, Jag. I will. I thought you would never ask,” she told the man she loved.

“Jaina,” was all Jag could say before he captured her lips in a kiss. The setting sun blazed through the window, bathing the two in a golden light.
