Not bad,...not bad at all.
Fx shots looked right on the money..I would agree with everyone else on that.

Acting?..well...was the acting really that great in the actual films themselves? honestly? if your watching a Star Wars Film,..fan made or not, your not really watching it for oscar calibur performances. hey at least I didn't hear anyone mutter
"I got a bad feeling about this!" Personally I'm more interestead in watching things explode.

As for the choreography..If it were me? I would have stuck ole Ryan and Dorkman in wigs and had them do the saber cat fight.

At any rate great job, visually the best i've seen thus far. Rivals alot of the cinematics we had going on over at Lucas in my time.

cheers
-FX

Actually, Alec Guinness WAS nominated for best supporting actor in ANH. And in fact, all the Jedi Masters were Oscar winners or nominees. Liam Neeson, Frank Oz, Samuel L. Jackson...

As for everybody else.... yeah, you're right about the acting...

I think Natalie Portman SHOULD have been nominated for Leon: The Professional.

Gotta love the discolored Stormtrooper helmet. Reminds me of that stormtrooper in KnightQuest (or was it BA?).

Colonel Sanders got shot down! silly

The Bad Queen chic, seems to be pulling a Queen Amidala, making her voice deeper to sound more... powerful. In all reality, they sound more like a man and laughable. plain

And are these Star Wars mariachis? grin

What discolored stormtrooper helmet? Are you talking about the one that has a colored light shining on him in the bar scene?

Pretty much all observable aspects of this production could be improved in some ways,
Nice diplomatic answer; Though, couldn't this be said about *any* film? happy

but it's much closer to looking like a professional project than what we are typically used to seeing in fan films.
We like to think so. happy

When I watch this trailer, I see outstanding visual effects that give me chills. That rarely happens when I watch a fanfilm. But it's funny, and I wonder if anyone else feels this way, I seem to be brought right out of my awe struck state when I see the lightsaber battle.

I've seen this happen before, a great fanfilm is produced with all the trimmings, but when it comes to the lightsaber fight, it looks like the least amount of effort was put into it. It almost feels like it doesn't belong with the rest of the film.

true, everything can be top notch, visuals, costumes, locations, but if everything is not at the same calibur or not given the same amount of care or attention then the film as a whole suffers...

don't get too nervous or concerned by that John :-) The fights are actually quite good ( i think so anyway, but who am I). Also, keep in mind that not everything you saw in the trailer is the final-final composite. As Zap wrote earlier, we were in quite a mad dash to get the trailer out the door by the deadline and banged out quite a bit of footage AND audio in a very short amount of time, and will be going back to a number of the shots for final edit. :-)

no worries guys, for real...we don't want this movie to be subpar on any level either. ...have faith, its gonna' be great, just wait and see. ;-)

As for acting, she wipes the floor with most others both in this film and in the real SW films. Haydn Christianssen is a whiny brat in comparision, and Lucas is gonna cry if he sees this

Your credibility = gone.

Your Title, "Resident SmartAss" = Confirmed

lighten up dude, all he's saying is that there's much more to the acting than what you've seen in thh trailer. The rest is Zap being Zap :-)

Yeah... that's quite a statement to sport. (about the acting in this project, as compared to other stuff including the 'real' films) And what I can see in the trailer isn't really convincing me that this is true, or that this film is even exceptional in this regard when compared to other fanfilms. I'm not trying to shoot down Revelations here, but that was some serious smack-talk being thrown around.

Pretty much all observable aspects of this production could be improved in some ways,

Well, yeah but I was just trying to avoid pointing at a slew of miscellaneous little things that keep shots from looking as good as they could be.
