I made this costume in 1 day for my Niece this past halloween out of cardboard!!! It cost me about $5 to make.

Here is a short VT to get you started.

Sweet, I love it. And that's all cardboard? How'd you make the helmet?

And those missles on the writs, are they from the old GI Joe's?

You mean just an audio/video editor? Windows Movie Maker? iMovie?
(Try looking one of those up, if that's what you mean.)

I've got the game Force sounds... is there anywhere that has sounds that actually sound like the Force from the films? I can only use the Darth Maul Force push so many times.

How do you guys go about making your tutorials?

I'm asking because I was thinking about making a text tutorial for opening crawls in After Effects.

I know, I know, there are quite a few "crawl tutorials" around, but I've noticed a lack of AE tutorials that let you make more authentic-looking STAR WARS crawls. There's always something, like the text not being justified properly, or the timing being off, or incorrect fonts, always something missing.

I want to create a step-by-step tutorial that someone who has no idea what they're doing can use to create a crawl that looks like the real thing and while most crawl tutorials, give you the basics, as I've said, there always tends to be something missing (I've noticed that aligning text seems to be the biggest problem that people have).

Unfortunately, I don't have any camera or anything to create a video tutorial, so it will have to be a text tutorial.

Does anyone have any tips on creating a good tutorial? Obviously, making it clear and simple to understand (with pictures) is a must. Anything else?

Ah, so you need a tutorial on making a tutorial!?!

I'd like to see one too, so don't feel alone...
...only I'm looking for the A/V version so many fans seem to have: records the screen and a real-time voiceover.

What software does that, and is it expensive?

I know a lot of people use Camtasia. That'll do the trick.
