Sorry. Been extremely busy on shoots for the last few weeks.

I have two weeks off starting next week so I will hopefully finish it then.

The script thread in the Resource section appears to be locked so I'm posting here. I'm not entirely happy with it so if someone wants to make changes that's fine. I may even make a few myself. I'll explain some of my decisions at the bottom.


EXT. HYPERSPACE

The Exsanguinator speeds through the Hyperspace tunnel at high velocity.
INT. EXSANGUINATOR - BRIDGE

Desnarcam stands at a holostation. Before him is a small hologram of an Imperial Officer.
CAPTAIN DESNARCAM

I’m on an important mission and
Bossk is vital to its success.

IMPERIAL OFFICER (HOLO)
(filtered)
Important mission? You’re supposed
to be providing security in the
Bestine System.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
I’m tracking a stolen medical transport.
Bossk is one of the best trackers in the galaxy and I--

IMPERIAL OFFICER (HOLO)
(filtered, interrupts)
Which is why Lord Vader requested him
specifically. These rebels are far more
important than your stolen ship.

Desnarcam clenches his fists.

IMPERIAL OFFICER (CONT’D)
I’m informing you out of courtesy Desnarcam.
Bossk is already on his way to the Executor.
Whatever you’re up to, you’ll have to do it alone.

The hologram disappears. Desnarcam slams his fists against the holo-board. Below him, OFFICER ANTILLES sits at the lower control station on the left side, manning the control desk and monitoring the ship’s travel through Hyperspace.

OFFICER ANTILLES
Sir, we’re approaching the system.

Desnarcam glances down at the station.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Take us out of Hyperspace

EXT. SPACE - NABOO SYSTEM - MOMENTS LATER

The Exsanguinator appears suddenly, jumping into the system.

INT. EXSANGUINATOR - BRIDGE - MOMENTS LATER

Desnarcam hurries down the steps and moves to stand by Antilles.

OFFICER ANTILLES
Sir, how are we supposed to find them
without the bounty hunter?

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
We know we’re they’re going. Contact
the Theed Administrator. I want to know
where Meklis is hiding.

OFFICER ANTILLES
Yes sir. Right away sir.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
And tell the hanger bay to
prepare my shuttle.

Desnarcam turns away as Antilles goes back to working at his station.

EXT. HYPERSPACE

The Quantum Thrust blasts through Hyperspace.

INT. QUANTUM THRUST - COCKPIT

Tinian and Doz sit up front at the controls. Chenlambec stands by the doorway while BOT sits off to the side.

CHENLAMBEC
(in shyriiwook)
They’re probably waiting for you.

TINIAN
Yeah. You can’t just walk in there. Desnarcam is sure to have Imperial Troops waiting for you.

Bot stares out at the Hyperspace tunnel for a moment.

BOT
Doz, does this ship have a long range transmitter?

Doz looks at Bot curiously.

INT. MEKLIS HOUSE - MORNING
A beeping sound rings rings out across the house. Melora approaches the communication station and sits down. She presses a button on the console and the screen flickers to life. Melora sits back, her eyes wideo as
BOT appears on the screen.

MELORA
Bot?

Melora covers her mouth. She glances around behind her and leans closer to the screen.

MELORA (CONT’D)
(quietly)
Is that you?

BOT
(screen, filtered)
It is I Mistress Melora. I am returning with medical
supplies for the master.

Melora shakes her head.

MELORA
No. Stay away. There are Imperial troops stationed
outside the house. They’re waiting for you. I don’t
know what you did but you can’t come here.

BOT
(screen, filtered)
How is the master?

MELORA
Didn’t you hear what I said?

A figure approaches from behind Melora. She turns around to see Fiza standing over, staring at the screen.

FIZA
Can it be?

MELORA
Mother, please keep your voice down.
We don’t want to alert the troops.

BOT
(screen, filtered)
Mistress, it is good to see you.
I have acquired medical supplies to cure the master.
I am en route.

Fiza reaches over Melora to the console.

FIZA
Bot, please excuse us a moment.

Fiza presses a button and the screen flickers off.

MELORA
Mother, what are you doing?

Melora glares at her mother.

FIZA
We need to inform the Captain.

MELORA
We can’t. He’ll turn Bot into scrap metal.

FIZA
Since when did you care what happened to Bot?

Melora shakes her head.

MELORA
I don’t. But what do you think will happen?
Do you think the Empire will reward us?
Give Dad a cure? They’ll kill us all. If Bot
says he has something that can help then I
believe her.

Fiza looks at the empty screen then back at Melora. She nods her head and Melora turns back to the console, pressing a button to re-establish communications as Bot appears on the screen again.

FIZA
Do you really have a cure?

BOT
(screen, filtered)
I do. Bur time is of the essence.

FIZA
There’s troops everywhere. You’ll never
get past them.

BOT
I believe I can get to you but you must
listen closely.

Melora and Fiza glance at each other and then back at the screen.

EXT. SPACE - NABOO SYSTEM

The Quantum Thrust appears from Hyperspace and flies towards Naboo.

INT. QUANTUM THRUST - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS

Chenlambec mans the controls as Tinian pulls her blaster from its holster on her belt. She checks the charge in the engery cell and puts the gun back in its holster.

TINIAN
You’re crazy.

Bot looks at her.

BOT
I am a droid.

Doz leans against the cockpit entrance.

DOZ
I have to agree. It’s insane. Flying that low
is asking for trouble. What’s to stop the Empire
from shooting us down?

BOT
The Healing Grace may be on the Empire’s
watchlist but the Quantum Thrust is not.
They have no reason to shoot us down.

CHENLAMBEC
(shyriiwook)
They won’t let you just walk in.

BOT
I believe they will.

TINIAN
Fine. I’ll cover you but if it goes bad
don’t expect me to stick around.

Bot turns and scurries past Doz, out of the cockpit.

DOZ
Do I get a say in this?

TINIAN
Just do your job and maybe you’ll make it out alive.

DOZ
Well now I’m brimming with confidence.

Tinian rolls her eyes and pushes past Doz.

EXT. NABOO - DAY

The Quantum Thrust flies into the atmosphere, descending rapidly through the clouds.

INT. QUANTUM THRUST - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS

Chenlambec sits at the controls as Theed comes into view through the windscreen.

CHENLAMBEC
(shyriwook)
We’re approaching the city.

INT. QUANTUM THRUST - CARGO BAY - CONTINUOUS

Tinian, Doz and Udar stand in the cargo bay by the loading ramp.
Tinian, with a rifle strapped to her shoulder, presses a button on the wall, activating the comm system.

TINIAN
Alright. Lower the ramp.

UDAR
Why are we doing this again?

EXT. NABOO - SHANTYTOWN - ROOF - CONTINUOUS

The Quantum Thrust drops low over the Shantytown. It’s stablising thrusters activate and the ship hovers over a roof.
The ramp lowers and Tinian emerges, jumping down onto the roof. Doz follows and looks back up at the ship, as Udar lowers a large medical supply unit on to the roof before jumping down himself.
The loading ramp raises up again and the ship takes off back into the upper atmosphere.

TINIAN
Let’s go.

The trio approach a door leading inside the building.

EXT. SHANTYTOWN - MEKLIS HOUSE - LATER

Melora stands outside the door to her house. Two Stormtroopers stand guard with rifles.
Udar and Doz approach the house, hauling the medical unit. The Stormtroopers raise their rifles and aim them at Doz and Udar.
Melora steps in front of the Stormtroopers.

MELORA
Easy. They’re just carers from my father.

Doz reaches into his pocket and takes out his Medical ID. The Stormtroopers look at it and then glance at each other. They put their rifles down.

STORMTROOPER GUARD 1
Alright.

Doz and Udar head inside the house with the medical unit. Melora goes in last, closing the door behind her.

INT. MEKLIS HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Doz wipes sweat from his brow.

DOZ
Where is he?

Melora points towards the bedroom. Doz and Udar head towards it.
Fiza walks from the direction of the bedroom and passes them. She doesn’t even awknowledge them as she walks towards the front door. Melora grabs her arm.

MELORA
Mother.

FIZA
I need air. That’s all.

Fiza shakes her arm loose and exits through the door.

EXT. SHANTYTOWN - MEKLIS HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Fiza exits the house and approaches the stormtroopers.

EXT. SHANTYTOWN - ADJACENT ROOFTOP - CONTINUOUS

Tinian lies on the edge of the roof. She has her rifle aimed at the house as she watches Fiza speaking with the Stormtroopers through the scope. She can’t hear what’s being said.

TINIAN
This can’t be good.

INT. BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER

Doz and Udar enter the bedroom with the medical unit. They look at the bed where Pon is lying. He coughs violently, covered in sweat.

DOZ
He looks bad.

Udar flicks a switch on the side of the medical unit. It opens and BOT emerges.

UDAR
I still don’t know why you had to come.
In case you haven’t noticed we’re trained for this.

BOT
I needed to be here.

Bot approaches Pon.

BOT (CONT’D)
Hello Master. I have returned.

Bot turns back to Udar and Doz.

BOT (CONT’D)
We must hurry.

Doz removes medical supplies from the unit and approaches Pon’s side.

DOZ
This hemorrhagic pneumonia is the worst I’ve seen.

BOT
Now you realise why I needed to do what I did.

Doz begins to administer the treatment as Melora enters.

MELORA
Well?

DOZ
It’s bad. He’ll need regular treatments for weeks.

Doz administers a sedative and Pon falls asleep.

MELORA
But he’ll pull through?

DOZ
With regular care and a bit of luck.

Doz motions for Melora to approach.

DOZ (CONT’D)
Here. I’ll show you how to treat him.

EXT. SHANTYTOWN - ADJACENT ROOFTOP - CONTINUOUS

Tinian watches through the scope, viewing a squad of Stormtroopers, flanking Captain Desnarcam as they approach the house.
Tinian pulls out a small communicator.

TINIAN
Bring the ship around. We got trouble.

INT. BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS

BOT and Udar watch as Doz shows Melora how to administer the medication. A soft beep indicates a call on Udar’s communicator.
Udar pulls it from his pocket and puts it close to his face.

UDAR
Yeah.

TINIAN (O.S.)
(filtered)
Stormtroopers headed your way. Get out of there.

Bot glances up at Udar.

UDAR
You heard her. We’ve got to go.

BOT
I cannot leave. Thank you both
for your help but I must stay.
Doz stands and turns to Bot.

DOZ
They’ll shut you down.

BOT
It does not matter. I have fulfilled my
purpose. You should go. Hurry.

Udar and Doz look at each other then at Melora. She looks back at them.

MELORA
It’s alright. I think I know what to do here.

Udar exits the room with Doz following. He turns back to face Melora and Bot.

DOZ
Remember. Regular intervals.

MELORA
I understand. Thank you.

Doz leaves as Bot goes to stand by the bed. She looks down at her master Pon, who coughs, opening his eyes slowly and with difficulty.

PON
(coughing)
Bo-Bot?

BOT
I am here sir. You are going to be alright.

EXT. MEKLIS HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER
T
he front door opens and Doz and Udar step out. Fiza looks at them in surprise as the two guards raise their rifles. Two blaster shots from the nearby rooftop hit their marks and the Stormtroopers fall dead.
Captain Desnarcam approaches with a squad of Troopers. Udar and Doz make a run for it, with cover fire coming from the rooftop.
The Stormtroopers all stop and take cover to fire back at Tinian as Doz and Udar escape through a nearby alleyway.

EXT. SHANTYTOWN - ADJACENT ROOFTOP

Watching Doz and Udar escape, Tinian ceases firing and crawls back away from the edge. She stands and puts the rifle back over her shoulder. She holds her communicator to her lips.

TINIAN
Chenlambec. We’re heading to the pick up point.

CHENLAMBEC (O.S.)
(filtered)
Is Bot with you?

TINIAN
No there’s no sign of her. But it’s getting heavy here.
We need to pull out.

EXT. MEKLIS HOUSE

The Stormtroopers continue to fire at the rooftop.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Hold your fire. They don’t matter.

Desnarcam turns to Fiza as the Stormtroopers stop firing.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM (CONT’D)
Where’s your droid?

FIZA
Inside. Please don’t hurt my family.

Desnarcam turns to the squad commander.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Commander, put your rifle to her head.

The Trooper does as ordered.

FIZA
What? No! You said--

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Your droid has something I want. If you wish me to
help your husband and to stay alive, I suggest stay as you are.

Desnarcam turns to face the house.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM (CONT’D)
(shouts)
Come out droid. Your mistress needs you.

Desnarcam waits as Fiza keeps her eyes closed, tears running down her face.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM (CONT’D)
I won’t ask again. Come out now or she dies.

The front door opens and all the Stormtroopers aim their rifles at the door, apart from the Commander who keeps his trained on Fiza.
Melora steps out cautiously.

MELORA
Please...sir. She is coming.

One of the Stormtroopers grabs her and pulls her away from the door as Bot comes through. Melora is placed next to Fiza.

MELORA (CONT’D)
Mother, what did you do?

FIZA
I thought...how is your father?

MELORA
He’ll be OK...if we survive this.

Bot scurries out slowly towards Desnarcam.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Stay where you are.

BOT stops and looks at Melora and Fiza.

BOT
I have what you want. Let them go.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Show me.

BOT removes the datachip and holds it out in her hand. Desnarcam approaches her and takes it. He looks it over and smirks, crushing it in his hands. He then looks back up at BOT.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM (CONT’D)
You are a traitor to the Empire.

BOT
No more than you.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Your mind will be wiped, your shell broken down for parts.

FIZA
No!

BOT
And them?

Desnarcam looks back at Fiza and Melora, then back at Bot.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
They have conspired with you. The sentence is death.

BOT
You can’t.

Bot lunges at Desnarcam who pulls a pistol and shoots Bot in the chest. Bot falls down, motionless. Desnarcam turns around to face the prisoners.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Execute them.

The Stormtrooper guarding the two women focuses his aim and begins to squeeze the trigger. He stops cold though and falls dead.
Desnarcam looks towards the door to see Pon standing there with a blaster.

PON
You won’t hurt them.

The Stormtroopers begin to fire at Pon who ducks in behind the door.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
I’ll do it myself.

Desnarcam aims his pistol at Melora but it’s blown out of his hand. Desnarcam looks behind them to see Tinian standing with her rifle aimed at him.

TINIAN
Call them off Captain. I’ve got this aimed at your
head and you’d better believe I’m good enough to
hit you before your back up gets a shot off.

Desnarcam glares at Tinian.

TINIAN (CONT’D)
Now Captain.

Desnarcam raises his hand towards the Stormtroopers.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Put your weapons down. Do it now.

The Stormtroopers drop their weapons.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM (CONT’D)
Now what? You think you can just walk away?

Pon approaches from behind and walks to hug his family.

PON
Oh you’ll let us.

Pon looks down at the crushed datachip. He holds out his hand and produces another chip. Desnarcam looks at it and his eyes widen.

PON (CONT’D)
What? You didn’t think I’d have copies? If there’s one
thing I learned in service to the Emperor it’s that you
can never have too much leverage.

The Quantum Thrust flies down over the Shantytown and lands near Tinian. The ramp opens, revealing Doz and Udar standing at the top, aiming blasters at the Stormtroopers. They run down the ramp move past the group, into the house.
Tinian motions for the family to get on board and they do so, except for Pon who puts his weapon away and walks towards Bot.
He bends down to examine Bot who’s chest is exposed with sparks flickering around it. Pon reaches behind Bot and exposes a small panel at the back of the head. He pulls out Bots central processor and looks at it, before standing and turning towards the ship, passing Desnarcam.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
You think you can just walk away? You’re as
dead as your droid.

Pon stops, turns to face Desnarcam and swings, punching him in the mouth. Desnarcam falls to the dirt. The Stormtroopers rush to his aid as Pon continues towards the ship.
Doz and Udar emerge from the house with the medical unit and haul it back up the ramp, onto the ship as Pon gets on after.

DOZ
You’ll need this.

PON
Thank you.

Tinian, keeping her weapon trained on the Stormtroopers, walks backwards up the ramp as it closes. She blows a kiss towards Desnarcam as the ship takes off and the ramp closes fully.
Desnarcam can only watch as the ship blasts away into the upper atmosphere.

EXT. SPACE - NABOO SYSTEM - MOMENTS LATER

The Quantum Thrust flies away from the planet. The Exsanguinator pursues the ship, firing rapidly as the Quantum Thrust spins, trying to avoid being hit.

INT. EXSANGUINATOR - BRIDGE - CONTINUOUS

Officer Antilles sits at his station as his console beeps. He presses a button and Desnarcam appears as a hologram

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM (HOLO)
(filtered)
Are you tracking the Quantum Thrust?

OFFICER ANTILLES
We’re in pursuit now. Don’t worry sir. We’ll catch them.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM (HOLO)
No. Let them go.

OFFICER ANTILLES
Sir?

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM (HOLO)
That’s an order.

OFFICER ANTILLES
Yes sir.

EXT. SHANTYTOWN - MEKLIS HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Desnarcam holds a small holo-transmitter in his hand. The image of Officer Antilles fades and disappears as Desnarcam looks towards the sky angrily.

CAPTAIN DESNARCAM
Run Meklis. Run.

EXT. SPACE - NABOO SYSTEM - CONTINUOUS

The Star Destroyer ceases fire as the Quantum Thrust flies away from the system.

INT. QUANTUM THRUST - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS

Chenlambec and Doz sit at the controls of the ship.

CHENLAMBEC
They’re dropping back.

DOZ
Good. Get the ship ready to jump.

Doz stands up from the controls and moves out of the cockpit.

INT. QUANTUM THRUST - CARGO BAY

The Meklis family sits in the cargo bay, huddled together, with Tinian and Udar strapping themselves in nearby.

MELORA
You told them.

FIZA
I wanted to protect you both. He said if I delivered Bot
to him he would help Pon.

Melora shakes her head.

MELORA
You can’t trust the Empire...

She looks at Pon as Doz enters the cargo bay and straps himself in.

MELORA (CONT’D)
Sorry Dad.

Pon glances up at his daughter and then down at his clenched fist. He opens it, revealing Bot’s processor.

MELORA (CONT’D)
She must have known this would happen. Stupid droid.

TINIAN
(angrily)
Bot was loyal to you and your father until the
end. If it wasn’t for her he’d be dead.

Pon examines the processor closely.

PON
It appears to be undamaged.

Melora rolls her eyes.

MELORA
Great. Let’s go back and get her body then.

Everyone looks at her.

MELORA (CONT’D)
Oh that’s right. There’s a big hole
in her chest. Not to mention the Stormtroopers.

PON
It’s just a shell Melora.

Fiza looks at the processor in Pon’s hand.

FIZA
Do you think you can rebuild her?

Pon doesn’t answer. He reaches out and takes his wifes hand in his. He coughs, but not as bad as before. He smiles. Fiza smiles back and looks up at Tinian.

FIZA (CONT’D)
Where do we go from here?

TINIAN
Ask Doz, it’s his ship.

Doz and Udar glance at each other.

DOZ
Well I think our medical career is over. I’ve got a
cousin on Bespin. There’s a mining operation there.
The Empire has no presence there. You’re welcome to
come with us.

Doz turns to Tinian

DOZ (CONT’D)
All of you.

Tinian rolls her eyes.

TINIAN
Just drop us off on the way.

She sits back as Pon continues to eye the processor. A soft alarm rings out through the ship as the family sit close together.

EXT. SPACE
The Quantum Thrust flies through the vacuum of space, it’s engines glowing as the stars seem to stretch around it for a moment before the ship blasts off into Hyperspace, disappearing into infinity.

THE END





And that's it. Sorry it took so long. Other commitments kept delaying me.

So there are a few things there that might cause some controversy. First, I got rid of Bossk...this was partly to set up the ending but I'll come back to that. To be honest, there were already so many characters in there that getting rid of one early on was the best option because it would have been even longer. As it stands, this part is 19 pages in FInal Draft.

I originally wanted a tragic ending, then I wanted Bot to die and everyone else to live...then I wanted everyone else to die and Bot to live,..Ok so they were all kind of tragic. Reading back over the previous parts though I felt that the characters deserved a somewhat happy ending. Bot deserved to see her mission fulfilled.

About Fiza informing Desnarcam about Bot being there...this was frankly just a way to get everyone in the same place at the same time. If I do end up being the one who does rewrites on the whole script, I want to add a few scenes at the Meklis home with Fiza basically getting more and more worried, prompting her to take the action she does in order to save her husbands life.

As far as Bots death itself goes. I'm not entirely happy with it...it just happens and the scene goes on. The reason for that is because it has to go. It's sudden, there's no great dramatic howl to the moon in despair because the rest of the family is still in danger. There's no time to mourn. Maybe I will go back and extend that, I'll wait for opinions on the matter.

Regarding Desnarcam letting them go...I see him as a coward. He played his hand and he lost. He can't risk taking them on again, not until he has the advantage. That's why his last line is "Run Meklis. Run."

Now the second reason I decided to get rid of Bossk...the last scene. The ship travels to Bespin where there is no Imperial presence...earlier on, Bossk has been summoned by Vader. This of course puts the events of the film in the middle of Empire Strikes Back. The chief reason I did this is because I wanted a sense of things to come. For Star Wars fans, they will think "out of the fire, into the frying pan." They would reach Bespin to find that the Empire is taking over. That in itself isn't important to this story, I just wanted to hint at it...you know...sequels thinking

By the way, what I've written here may be impossible to shoot with one crew, never mind multiple crews. But I thought that I should write it as I would want to see it and we can figure out the details and what changes need to be made later.

even Bot's death. It may not seem much as you see it on "paper" but it's what you see on the screen that matters. I think when Bot gets shot, everything slows down for a moment, we see reactions on everyone's faces, we then do a slow zoom into Bot's face from a fairly close perspective all the way into a shot of Bots two glowing eyes, that fade. Bot collapses and falls to the ground. Then the director of that scene's imagination continues.... thinking


so yeah, dont worry about the writing all too much I liked it. Go ahead and add some scenes if you wish, we can always do a script edit if something doesnt work. This is where all the bugs need worked out before we proceed.

By the way, I was originally going to have Larson show up and save the day somehow but I'm planning a spin off instead where his ship breaks down in Hyperspace and he is plunged into a black hole, emerging on the other side without the ship in New Jersey, circa 1993 where he becomes a garbage man in order to salvage parts to secretly build a new ship only to discover that the CIA is watching him. Hilarity ensues. laugh

I like it. The performances on-screen will determine whether I love it or not. Bot's death plays out well - she would still be a "thing," not a person, and she can be rebuilt, apparently. So there's no real need to get all dramatic over this temporary demise. However, if the actors put the right spin on their performances in that scene, it will be beautiful.

totally agree. It wouldn't be tooo dramatic... not like when Marvin gets shot in the back of the head on "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", but something like that.

In the end, Bot was machine. A droid with programmed loyalty. That loyalty caused her to risk everything to find a way to save her master. In the end, she died doing what she was programmed to do. To the audience, BOT is more than just a droid so the audience has the emotional reaction rather than the characters, who have their own problems to deal with. It's a case of the audience knowing BOT as a living person, while the other characters simply know her as a droid. Yes there is an affection there for that droid, but not to the extent that they care more about her death than saving their own lives.

When Fiza gives them up, it's because she's trying to save her husband. She cares for Bot, but again, in the end it's just a droid in her eyes. Ultimately the only one who really gives a damn is Pon, the person BOT was trying to save and that last scene was kind of a way to not only give a glimmer of hope that Bot isn't really dead, but also to show that to some people at least, she was more than just a machine. Though the fact they are headed for Bespin just as the Empire is heading there may give the ending a false sense of hope which, again, was the idea. After all, in the time of the Empire, nobody is truly safe.

If this ever gets shot and we ever do a sequel (unlikely), I would have the family on Bespin, essentially trying to escape as the Empire begins to take control, while Melora runs off to join the rebels.

That would be a sequel only slightly better than most well known film-sequel flops.

The main story, on the other hand, has quite grown on me.
The ending perhaps most of all.

I like the way the droid has accumulated a small band of concerned individuals, risking life and limb to complete the mission.
On the re-write, I think we should focus more on how Bot has developed that loyalty.
