"doesn't he look menacing? What does that tell you scott!"
I'm shaking... no, honestly.
Seriously though, the support here really does help to motivate us. ;-) Thanks everyone.
Quick update: Things are moving as mentioned before, although I've tossed a few scenes over to friends (a music major, keyboarder and someone who owns his own recording studio) as they wanted to take a shot at an original sound track. We'll see how it comes back, and if I end up using them for the film.

RE: RECIPROCITY
How did you do the last scene of the trailer? One character is running from another character, and his lightsaber jumps into his hand, and he turns around and hits the other guy's saber. And it's all one shot?
First off, you obviously didn't reverse film to make the lightsaber jump into the guy's hand, as he was running right before then. So I figure maybe someone (off-camera) threw it, or something.
But, it's not ignited. In the same shot, he ignites it and hits another saber. Actually I was going through frame by frame and he doesn't actually hit it (so there could be no prop blade), but I can't see you switching to another camera view right there. So there must be a blade (as you revealed PVC pipe) attached to the hilt. But it was just thrown up unignited, and in the same scene, he ignites and uses it.
I guess it could have been thrown up with the blade, except that that would involve magnificent painting out of the blade prop, because I didn't notice it.

I believe the hilt was made in CG. Other then that I don't know how they did it. It is a very cool scene anyway.

There is
no way
that hilt was one in CG, it is just unfathomable to do that.

I've looked at it, and I've come to the conclusion that the hilt is indeed CG. But that's just my honest opinion.

Yes, as I looked through it frame by frame, the hilt did indeed look like it could be CG, but they would have had to switch to a real prop somewhere if they are to turn around and use it, wouldn't they?

RE: RECIPROCITY
"One character is running from another character, and his lightsaber jumps into his hand, and he turns around and hits the other guy's saber. And it's all one shot?"
That shot is actually one of my favorites just for speed and how close it came to the storyboard and vision. Anakin is right; the hilt is CG for that shot. I wanted to be able to run flat out without having to worry about timing a catch (or it looking like a catch). Actually, the trailer version of that shot is not the finished one, and if you look really close you can see the hilt stick slightly through the hand.
As a director I tend to focus on similar dynamic shots when doing effects. Just about anything thrown or pushed (and there is a whole bunch) is CG. I do this because reverse footage doesn't allow for forward action in the same shot, and throw/catch doesn't give that direct to hand feel. (You move your hand to catch.)
I calculated recently that about 84% of the film has some kind of effect shot in it. Most are usually small, and you shouldn't notice.
As for the music question: As I'm wrapping up sound, I've been adding in my own non-original classical based sound track. So it has something.
