	Hm, I realized today that Ahab might also be a tie-in with the Jedi Shadow idea, also demonstrated in Planet With No Name. 	As a 'Sith Hunter' Ahab would be a precursor to the Jedi Shadows, yea. I suppose it depends on the era. As far as I’ve been able to find, the phrase ‘Jedi Shadow’ is just an RPG term for someone who want to be pure-combat, no force powers Jedi. I discovered the term after we filmed the PwNN fight scenes and it matched the proto-story I had in my head when we filmed the story ‘bookends’. As far as I figure it: - During the pre-Republic Jedi/Dark Lords (whatever the proto-Sith were called) war a race called the Palawans got their planet nuked. They vowed to ‘police’ Force users. They develop the art of Teräs Käsi and ‘shadow’ Jedi who may turn. - I’d suppose after the war there would be quite a few rouge Dark Force users running around, so Jedi existing specifically as Hunters would not be uncommon. - Eventually the big risk was Jedi themselves turning to the Dark Side, as well as other non-Jedi force using organizations popping up. The need switches for more covert skills, thus Jedi Shadows are created. Any relationship to the original Hunters is speculative, but a reasonable deduction. - Whenever the Sith return and are defeated there would again be a need for Sith Hunters. It’s unlikely at this juncture that Sith Hunting would be openly authorized by the Jedi Council, rather I imagine the Republic just puts out fat bounties. - What role Jedi Shadows have after this depends on your preference for conspiracy theories. I can’t see the Jedi as a whole being too comfortable with other Force using groups that it didn’t monitor and/or absorb. 	It is 16 minutes of me spouting bull... crud... on a ten minute film. Pretty much, ever bit of philosophy that wou could shove in there, straight from the book, our own stuff, and metaphors needed for the adaptation. 	Hm... I actaully hadn't realized that... That was one of Matt's funnier moments that wasn't a drawn out 20, 30 second ordeal, and the other was Matt... Lambert's... only on-screen blooper, since he was a last second add-in to the screen ("Hey, we need something happening in the background... Spiro [Matt L.], get over there and switch the input/output cables on the VCR."). Edit: I want to say, it is not my intention to disregard the seriousness of suicide when I make light of it; contrarily, sometimes the only way to cope with something is to turn it into humor. I am close to two people who have told me, at least after the fact, that they have considered, to some extent or another, suicide.
