Dunno if this is the right place or if this has been posted by someone else. But Wax http://www.debugmode.com/waxis a nice video and partical editor, you can apply fade ins, fade outs, crawls, explosions to text, and other stuff. Might also want to check out www.debugmode.com for some other nice video morhping/editing freeware stuff as well.

COGfilms Blender Tutorials
Wow...I've never used Blender, never really had to seeing as I can work with MAX without a problem...but damn, I never realised how good Blender was (especially for free) untill I stumbled across this site via cgtalk.com
Some cool tutorial, the best being the water tutorial.
Not bad water effects for a free piece of software.

DOF in regards to what?
Actual real DOF using the camera lens?
DOF, faked within a 2D application like AE?
DOF in a 3d environment in software like 3dsMAX, Maya, Lightwave etc?

I am a big fan of star wars since i was kid. And being fanatic. I am planning to enroll myself into a film school and learn every crafts of good film making! I am currently in cebu,joining my filipina wife. A week before my flight I saw this filmschool in Cebu,called IAFT. I checked it out and I was amazed with it. A Sample of Independent film made by the students called "Love & Glances" :::http://www.filmschool.ph/student_projects/love.htm::: was nice. Any tips from the pro on what to expect in film industry???

I've found free film-making software for PCs at FreeFilmSoftware.co.uk. There, you can find more free programs for your pre-production making needs, including the free script writer, as well as the shareware storyboarding tools.
